My partner has asked if Ruby has become a teacher just to slog her planners to the students as her constant ads weren't working 🤣. Also do you think that she would have realised how scruffy she was looking at the end with the wonky ribbon ans the loose threads before she started filming. How long is it going to be until she goes to school like that?

Okay Ruby, then why do we have to suffer through your terrible arts & crafts projects? How about you do them just for yourself?

View attachment 1922651

Istg she completly missunderstands this post and concludes its amazing to post projects she "just" does without bothering to learn even the basics of the skill..
Posting this when her entire personality is a collection of fake hobbies, interests and affectations to impress social media and every inconsequential thing she does (or pretends to do) is only done so she can post it on social media for hollow praise or to sell a product she doesn't like or use.

This a day after she was moaning yet again how "we live in an AXTROVARRTED SOSOYATEE unfworetunately..." and only extroverts get all the breaks...in another undeclared ad for Misspah Teenah, recycling footage from a cushy paid modelling gig which she got by just dishonestly shilling fast fashion clothes from the comfort of her secluded manor home. After she got rich from sitting in her bedroom, avoiding society and pretending to be Emma Watson...

What a fucking moron.

I don't think Ruby has an original thought in her head. I'm also suspicious as to what kind of writer she'd make having what appears to be very limited life experience and even more limited horizons. What is her book going to be about? Not "A room with a view" but " A view with a room" - essentially her story of life looking inwards not outwards.

In Ruby's latest TikTok, she announces she's giving away 90 of her planners to three secondary school classes!!! How kind!

Her brain visibly stutters as she's trying to explain what a planner is, and then she reveals that it's not a straightforward giveaway, it's a convoluted "jump through my hoops as I roleplay a benevolent teacher above my station" exercise where teachers - who are currently fighting for fair pay and better working conditions in comparison to the hours they're having to put in for the benefit of their students - have to spaff away their time by answering at least one of Ruby's three questions:

1. What is something interesting your class has learnt recently? Probably so she can do a quick Wikipedia search on it and then "didjoo knyow" them with her own superior 'knowledge'
2. What is your class’s top study tip? Why does Ruby think everyone is a hive mind? "We" think this, what is 30 people's collective top study tip?
3. What exam advice can you offer as we now move into mocks season? Ruby would love to know the answer to this as she's going to be sitting her GCSEs as research this summer!

I cant believe she probably spent like 1h to make a "vision board" for that collar instead of like.. Watching one YT tutorial properly and putting any kind of care into the actual sewing. Her to do list actually says "design, cut, sew". Such a good thing she made a list for this, or she could have forgotten to either cut or sew the thing
Its amazing how this collar is a perfect metaphor for her whole chanel: Lots of useless busywork to seem important and smart, then cobbling together the most careless bullshit while applauding herself for it and showing it off smugly on YT..
Now I have visions of her bravely attempting it without the list, cutting out the pattern and then stepping back in puzzlement because she can’t remember what’s supposed to come next.

Unexpected Unjaded Jade all of a sudden

---

I remember she was interested in that MA in history and manuscript sources when she went to look at Carroll's letters in Pizza Express Woking. If she ever did a degree in a history(-adjacent) field, she'd have to work with tonnes of this "outdated", "boring" reading matter, even if just to contextualise the manuscripts!!

Oh no she's been talking about snowflakes for a really long time.😣 Is this ever going to end? Snowflakes are fragile, humans are fragile. We get it.

Now the recording's gone all trippy. There's more than one Ruby and one Ruby was more than enough.

I rate this talk 1/5 stars. It contains more snowflakes than I was expecting.

I love how the panel is made up of far more qualified individuals. And she's just: (failed) writer, (lukewarm) entrepreneur, lover of chess and nature walks (or something)
Yeah I noticed that too. I wonder how she ended up on the panel? Maybe her management had an input somehow.

It's beyond cringe and I can't look away.
I couldn't help but look away. The cringe was bad enough without seeing the claw.

Edit: Earlier I watched some of Jack Monroe's talk in Edinburgh. The combined cringe of these two events might make me combust. Those of you on the JM threads will understand!

I found the video on that site with all of her deleted videos. It’s quite a heart warming story actually, she says she had a toy cat called ‘Meower’ when she was a kid which she lost in Australia, they put out a search party, posters and even made a t-shirt (lol) but unfortunately never found it. In the end her dad managed to get a replacement and gave it to her for xmas. She says towards the end that she used to rub Meowers eyes on the floor so they ended up scratched, doesn’t seem like there was any sinister intention behind it and she talks about how much she loved it. My guess is that it was just a sensory thing 🤷‍♀️.

You'd think that someone "SYO KOIND" might donate any money from secondhand clothes sales to charity. Or someone who loves walking/running/yoga so much might find it a natural step to take part in one of those daily challenges for a month that raise money for a charity - Mother Granger appears to have done a daily yoga one for Cancer Research so why didn't Ruby join her?

The supposed passion for charity and kindness is the most disingenuous thing about her. She could easily dedicate a lot of her time to charity work and still have time to piss about writing her many novels (so that she never has to complete one and confront its mediocrity and inevitable rejection from publishers) and cosplaying as children.

Instead, she uses a young following to shill poorly looked after clothes at massively inflated prices. I know we all know this already here but it's just glaringly obvious yet people fall for her infantilised persona.
Exactly this. When Ruby does attempt something charitable it's always performative and impractical. That time she wanted to send money to strangers on Insta? Putting money inside books in Waterstones?! Making a note in her planner to leave change in her pockets for homeless people? There are lots of ways Ruby could make a difference, but she always seems to ignore those options in favour of the most stupid idea.

  • Ruby has so much stuff and probably doesn't use half of it. Just look at the amount of clothes she's selling on Depop. It lists 109 sold items - the cheapest is only £3.50, but some are nearly £50. I'm thinking a car boot sale type of event, donating the money to charity. She could do the same with books that her family don't want to reread.
  • More fundraisers on her YouTube channel. Other creators do this frequently, so why not Ruby?
  • Donate a % of her YouTube income to charity and encourage other influencers to do the same.
  • Continue to advertise, but give the ad revenue to appropriate causes, e.g. if she's advertising a laptop, use the opportunity to support Laptops For Kids or a similar project.
  • I know Ruby's sister did a bike ride with her dad to fundraise. Ruby doesn't have to do her challenge alone. A long distance hiking challenge, for example, would provide new content and she could rope her family into it.
  • Ruby has lots of free time. Why not volunteer? There are honestly so many areas to choose from depending on her skills and interests. We have a local project involving gardens in primary schools. There's also a lovely & diverse group of people who get together to plant trees and flowers in urban spaces. There's befriending schemes for older people (I can imagine Ruby liking this sort of thing), mental health volunteering, food banks, community art projects. The list goes on. I've never understood why she's not involved with something like this.

I think 1550-1700, she has been talking about Shakespeare a lot recently and I looked up the name she was writing in her application and it seems to belong to this woman here.

She also appears to be working with one of the professors leading the course. Maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree though, idk anything about Oxford or how it works lol.

Her TikTok seems to become even more of an utter mess of disorganised nonsense every time I look at it.

I tried to parse what the hell she's thinking with her upload schedule and I just can't. She's uploaded a bunch of January reading vlogs which feel completely unmoored from reality and any concept of time.

Vlog 1 - Ruby pretends to spend a day in a van with Blakeney reading FOIYVE SURVOYVE - a book that she was supposed to read in December.
Vlog 2 - Ruby pretends to read THARRTEE PAYGES of Spare and paint her nails, all in TWANTEE MINUTES. Utter horseshit.
Vlog 3 - "Book One of TWANTEE TWANTEE THRYEE." Ruby pretends to read WOTHERING HOYTS. She also says this is vlog 2 of 4.
Vlog 4 - "Book Nine of TWANTEE TWANTEE THYREE - THE FAMILY CUSSFIELD NYOTEBOHKS." It's like 4 pages long. #AD
Vlog 5 -

I think that half of the time what she is reading a book that is 'diverse' and against the usual children's books that she reads is because it was popular online than an actual love of literature. I remember that she was reading 'Song of Achilles,' for a month or so and it was popular online, same with Call Me By Your Name, and Heartstopper is also one, especially with her being invited to the premier and she could barely give a review of the book even though it was in her book reviews.

It is the same with classics, she might actually like them, but I think that she reads them and makes a show of reading them online is among her busy work to appear intelligent for the camera. I think she is more comfortable reading children's books and I think it's fine that she is reading, but she isn't going to be an author or a good one if she doesn't read widely. Ruby can barely speak about a book without awkwardly rambling, sounding like she has just read Sparksnotes before speaking about it than actually reading the book, and using the world 'cool.' How is she actually going to describe her work to others if she can barely speak about another book.

Wondering when the traditional job starts. I do see it being a more online job than in person.

Only snoop on here but the Oxford masters is confirmed, I highlighted in red😂 *act surprised* I’ll probably cry laughing if she gets rejected again.

omg nooo. Why would she do this to herself? I knew she was freaking out over the Masters application just a bit more than is usual for a Masters Application. Its interesting that she didn't mention it in her videos. Except here, by accident lol

Also if I were bullied quite often at my old school (which Ruby claims to have been) it wouldn't exactly be my first choice for a teaching job. Nevermind that it's probably the only place that would hire her with no questions asked since it's her old private school. It's a lot harder to fly under the radar when you're literally the teacher and I guarantee there's going to be at least one girl there smarter than her.
Perhaps she wants to go back there in a position of authority so she can feel some sort of control over what happened in the past?
Like when people who get bullied at school join the police just they can go on mad power trips and harass teenagers and homeless people just for existing in public places lol.
Maybe I’m deeping it a bit lol.

I would like to note that I don't give a shit about anyone's opinion of the royals/harry/megan/Spare - it's a controversial subject and I feel like it's going to completely derail the conversation, when we really should be focusing on why the fuck ruby still hasn't learn to brush her hair without ripping it all out.

Also on the list of things she never learnt: how to light a candle without tunneling it, how to pour liquids without spilling them, and how to be a functioning adult without relying on mummy, daddy, and stolen charity money to get by
Yeah keep it to the harry and meghan threads please lads

I saw that and she said something like ‘I am loving it, honestly’, which seemed a bit disingenuous to me. Normally when Ruby says REARHLY and HONESTLY it means the complete opposite.

I wonder if we’re getting a video this weekend, seeing as she already posted this week 🤔 And will it be the ”January books review” one or the ”winter” one? Will she have finished skimmed through to the end of ”The Brothers KaramaTSov”? How exactly is she being the main character and romanticising this particular winter? Will she sit by an open window with her electric blanket? How many books will she have read JANUINELY IN THEIR ENTIRETY in the time I’ve managed to struggle through 1/4 of Special Operation & Peace, the first 16 chapters of Tristram Shandy, half of Montesquieu’s Persian Letters, and the audiobook of Les Liaisons Dangereuses, where I may or may not have fallen asleep briefly just as a major plot point was unfolding?

I think we better wait and see tbh. I think it’s highly unlikely she’ll be let loose teaching. I think it’s more likely she’s “joined” the English department and might be a TA/ lead a separate group of 3-4 students etc.

As another poster said, they pay big bucks at that school and as far as I can remember she has never taught in a classroom in any capacity so it’s extremely unlikely she’ll be thrown in.

the only other thing I can think is that they’ve offered to “train” her on some private school thing I’m too poor to know about 🙄 other than that, they might be giving her some work experience.

For her tutor, it would have been like trying to have a conversation with Quizlet.
Haha that made me laugh but it's so true. She made a big mistake with her revision folders. A much better preparation would have been to choose a poem at random, give herself 5-10 mins to annotate it, answer questions from a teacher/parent, then research the poem to see if her points are supported by the info that's online. That way she'd get used to analysing new literature under timed conditions. 🤷‍♀️ Idk why she did it in such a rigid way.

This was like one of those 'unsatisfying things' vids:

I am wondering a) how easy it is to find this forum - if it pops up right after googling Ruby's name, then chances are someone will at least read what we're chatting about here? b) if there's a chance Ruby finds a new favorite fake aesthetic concerning teaching which she obsesses so much about that she keeps teaching despite hating it. There's so much she's able to force herself to do if only it results in some nice aesthetic.
It is sooo easy to find this forum. I remember watching one of her videos and pretty much immediately googling her name and a point of curiosity (won't mention it here). All of the results were various tattle life threads. Her students are going to find this forum easily and I hope they join!
