Right? This is wild to me. Her room is full of utter junk, she could just declutter it for good, stop hoarding an entire warehouse full of clothes she had when she was TWALVE just to show they still fit, get rid of dust collecting books she never reads and buy a damn cabinet to store all her personal stuff instead of piling it all in the cupboards downstairs. Its just hit me:
1. What an actual waste of time, designing a layout on her tablet for the tea cupboard. Just tidy that shit up?
2. How fucking rude. Keeping all that tea in her parent's cupboard, in such a messy state.
3. She acts like its HER kitchen. Her onscreen text says 'I own a LOT of tea'. Get your own kitchen then, brat.
Don't be too hard on yourself, things are really difficult right now, what with the pandemic, inflation, energy crisis, war, the climate crisis and everything else that's going on! Hardly anyone seems to be hiring right now, in fact the place I work for is not renewing people's fixed-term contracts, choosing to kick people out instead. I know it doesn't help you, I've been in that situation of desperately looking for work and getting rejection after rejection, but for what it's worth: I'm sure it's not you, it's the general shittiness of the situation right now *gestures at everything* I'm probably a year or two older than you, so I know what it's like to go back to uni as a mature student. Massive virtual hug to you!thats why I specifically didn't buy glass straws but metal straws.
I haven't watched her video yet. maybe I do that tomorrow. I was busy the last day with looking for jobs and I'm a bit frustrated right now. I really should become a Youtuber and post my morning routine ... Getting out of bed at around nine, brushing my teeth, making my bed, open different windows wide to let fresh air in, breakfast, newspaper. maybe doing something for work. feeling down because I search for jobs and they all want 100 years of experience. feeling bad because I'm in my late 30s and I feel like I don't have enough to show for. and than those youtubers throw it in my face with how easy it all is.
Just thought I'd share that every time I see Ruby has replied to a comment my brain immediately says, "oh shut the fuck up Ruby", often before I've even fully read the comment- and after I read the comment I am vindicated, because my initial reaction is always appropriate. SHUT UP RUBY!
This happened the other day but it said 'support a bunker productivity dot org'I think it's a speech-to-text add-in thing she's using. She uses it fairly often for reels and it's always wrong in some way and she never checks or takes a second shot at it. If human beings can't tell what the fuck she's saying half the time, it's no shock that a computer AI has no clue.
Overlapping Ruby voices is not a new concept for us. Its a common practice in her videos anyway.Oh god, the audio for the stream glitched out when they recorded it, so now there's delayed audio of Ruby playing over the current audio of her talking and it sounds like there's duelling Rubies
Not to mention the fact that you can't trust her with anything more complicated than loading the dishwasher because she'll fuck it up.I personally think it must drive her parents crazy, having her around all the time. If they want her to go to work, they have to drive her because she can't drive. Then her anxiety condition (which I of course have empathy for) where they can't leave her in the house alone. All her tea cluttering up the cupboards, taking her mother's stamp box (Roob claims that they 'share it'). Then her content creating, they have to be out of her way while she does her videos. Having THEIR home constantly on the internet.
As parents, Im sure they are worried about her. But yeah. It must also be irritating. They are at the age when its nice to just have your own space, kids out of the home. Especially given that both their kids seem to be able to afford to move out.
i had a sudden flash back to ruby and blaney and their "library Cards|" for borrowing each others books and scanning the card with a hairbrush ?! am i remembering this right......?Perhaps she'll be the professional curator of the family's landfill of a home library, teaching mummy her ABCs in her downtime, arranging home lectures for family "frands" and sending Martha a £2,700 late fee for a copy of an Ian McEwan book that she forgot she had in her possession.
"A tryoo masterpiece which was mostly disappointing with a few good sackshons.
This is what bothers me too. She keeps harping on about she’s SYO, SYO GRYATEFUL for everything, and makes a big show of paying lip service to her privilege (”mummy and daddy love me syo much and are syo supportive”), but NONE of this is reflected in her actions. She doesn’t take care of the things she has, and she sure as hell never shares her wealth unless she can gain something in the process. I’m guessing the reason she doesn’t declare a lot of her ads is because she’s just that used to receiving free crap, it’s lost all meaning. (But if there’s an affiliate code or something else that’ll profit her, she makes sure to share, of course.) She’s a money-grubbing, greedy little girl who’s used to just taking and taking and taking.Ruby's so careless when it comes to her belongings. I don't know why it irks me so much. Suppose it just seems disrespectful somehow? Like she's ungrateful for things that other people would treasure.![]()
What a nice idea for her to use. But she/her management either don't read tattle or they just don't care which would be a shame. I've been on here for like half a year now and despite all the trolling, there has been such a great amount of ideas and inspiration for improvement. I've also compared Ruby's threads to other threads about other influencers which are beyond boring. She could've made an actual vlog in which they spent 8 hours in a van having fun and reacting to the book, which would've been a change from her usual repetitive routines. It might've even made Ruby seem (gasp) genuine to have her on-screen with another human being who was allowed to talk. But nope, same old shit in a faked video where they clearly spent half an hour in the van and she didn't read the book.
Didn't she mention Villette once and just said that it's a 'school story from a teacher's perspective'?I've noticed that Ruby never talks up the Brontës, even though the sisters and their writing would seem to be perfectly aligned with her online image and purported interests. How does a supposed lover of literature, Victoriana, and moody atmospherics routinely ignore the Brontës? Too violent? Too sexy? Whatever the reason, I get the feeling she's not a fan, so it'll be interesting if she has to do some kind of academic instruction on Wuthering Heights.
A CV should only even hit the 2 page mark if your older and have years worth of relevant experience, I bet Ruby’s is 2 pages full of the same shite on her linkedin. On my CV I only listed the exams that are useful to clarify what my degree was in and what I learnt l. You could also write, for example, "Law degree with a focus on xx". It's not necessary to put every single thing you did in uni, no one cares.
A CV should be one or two pages max. If it's longer than that you're doing something wrong
