Unsurprisingly, she misspelled the name of the restaurant. It's Le bontà del capo. And no the accent on the à and the single p as opposed to two aren't there just for show, Ruby.Watching her new vlog, and oh my god, why is she always semi-whispering, this is so annoying. Like she's in a constant awe and about to cry, because the world is syo syo beautiful and she is syo syo lucky to be here. It's like she's pretending to be a sensitive, fine-natured heroine from Jane Austen's novel who cries because the birds are so lovely.
Also my favourite part is where Ruby is walking with a notepad and pretending to write about the sunset she's observing.
Can't wait for gossip_guy commenting the whole video, really looking forward to it!!

No, I can'tThe background noise is so loud (at 5:40) that it's impossible to understand what Ruby is saying. Then she pours boiling water and tries to drink it. Why?! Doesn't she know how hot water works? She acts like a lunatic here, tbh...
You'd think she'd just Google it and copy-paste the name to get it right, since she went out of her way to write it out in the video (I found it in literally 2 seconds, I typed Le bon- and it was one of the first Google suggestions, must be quite a famous place) but no. Because who cares, Italian is just gibberish anyway, right?
Oh btw caffè d'orzo is a caffeine-free substitute for coffee made from barley, so I guess she hasn't actually started drinking coffee has she? I don't know why someone would drink it for any reason other than specifically to avoid caffeine.

That was a lot of coffee-drinking in one video. Do they even know it's not obligatory to drink coffee every hour while you're in Italy? I mean, the coffee is great there, but they just look super touristy. It's like going to France and eating tons of croissants there for the pictures "Look, I'm on a vacation! Yes, in France!"
She'd never even tried or expressed interest in coffee before, she demonizes caffeine like it's a hardcore drug, and she went out of the way to get caffeine-free coffee just so she could say she's drinking coffee in Italy lol she's so performative

Seems like her family spent most of the holiday to Italy getting forced into filming Ruby clearly posing for shots like this so she could pretend they were spontaneous.
when I get filmed without knowing (which only happens when I'm with my parents and we are hiking or visiting a town or something like that) I never pose like that. I'm mostly in a very not film-worthy pose, with a resting witch face, never with a straight back, my hair in a very unfashionable pony tail.
My husband sometimes takes photos of me while I take photos of some sheep or cows or me crouching to take a photo of said animals or a flower. I wish I would look or pose like Ruby. I have to work on my pose, I think if I want to be a successful youtuber someday!

You can tell Ruby doesn't think she's an "influencer" in the same way as very feminine, girly girls who are influencers just because she's ~academic~ and doesn't wear makeup. But actually, she's worse than them because she pretends everything is just filmed - by chance - and you are just "happening" to see her going about her day and what she does, despite the fact she IS an influencer behind the scenes, setting up cameras, fake angles, doing brand deals, and doing ads. It's the same thing. At least most other girls are honest about what they do and are upfront about the fact they enjoy taking photos of themselves. Ruby does love that, she is equally superficial in the way that she constantly takes photos of her outfits, seeks praise and wants attention from people. But she just pretends that she doesn't and it's frustrating. And tbh, it isn't fair how most of those other girls who are influencers probably get so much tit for doing the same things Ruby does, but because Ruby comes across so -innocent- and fades into the background because she isn't super "hot" or glamorous, she gets away with it.
The voiceover on her latest tiktok is so creepy. No music and just her pretend ‘whimsical, pensive’ voice. I feel like she’s in my walls
I really dislike the 'whimsical, pensive' thing on the whole, every video where she's visiting a new place or thing and she does this 'wandering around in awe' look and overly flowery, poetic voiceovers. It's so fake.

I don’t get the Rebecca book look at all. What is the connection between Rebecca/ the second Mrs de Winter and a beret? Or a red dress - I haven’t read the book in a long time but I thought the most famous dress in the novel was white? Honestly Ruby’s book looks make no sense at all. She just puts on some random clothes to wander round the mucky mansion and pretends there’s some tenuous link between one of her mum’s old frocks and whatever book she’s pretending to read at the moment. It’s really odd. I’m sat here wearing a non-descript skirt and top but according to Ruby’s logic, I’m in a book look that I could say represented anything from a novel set in Palaeolithic times to something by Jane Austen to something set in 2300.
I thought some of her outfits from Italy were actually nice! she had that pretty white dress with mummy bones's old toms, and that seemed age/occasion appropriate. I think she goes insane with the outfits when she's home/in her weird uni hovel with blakeney because she's not actually dressing for going out in the world and living her life and she loses all frame of reference for what makes sense and what's appropriate. Now, she's just playing pretend for the camera, but if she got a life she would have to figure out how to dress for that life
Really not sure why, but the first thought that I had with his outfit is 'page boy' with the shorts
. They don't look too flattering on her that much and they seem to sit weirdly on her, not sure if it's the waistband that I don't like too much or the socks and shoes., not sure if I am being too fussy though.
