My mum is making fun of me, in my enn-sam-blur! Ruby slipped up and you can hear her real voice.

She looks tragic, I can't bring myself to take the piss considering she looks like an elderly toddler forced to flee her home. (Ok, maybe I can a bit).

So many questions. Why is her school enabling her to do these return visits? After one year, perhaps, but this is all for feeding Ruby's delusional state that she's still the biggest fish in a small pond, and not a grown ass adult who has graduated. From a safeguarding point of view, I would not be happy as a ££££ paying parent that the school allows an adult on the premises and watch their children. Ruby may not be a danger to anyone but herself, though the whole point of safeguarding is working from the assumption that anyone can be a threat.

Ruby: (Tries to show that she's being VARRY PRODOCKTIVE even though no LACKCHURRERS will grade her for it.)
Also Ruby: "IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, you should use all your uni logins to be constantly learning things for the rest of your life. (POINTS FINGER AT YOU STERNLY)"

The fuck do you mean "in all seriousness", Rubert? Are you saying you weren't looking at articles on JSTOR? Because you have to first be joking to then say "in all seriousness".

Every day is a new journey of discovery as we see what new parts of the English language Ruby doesn't understand.
Right, this really annoys me as someone who tried to pursue my academic interests after uni but before enrolling on another course as it was when I was trying to solidify a PHD thesis idea before putting all the work into an application. Part of that application I knew would be demonstrated knowledge of the field and you never want to be told “sorry someone already did literally exactly this”

yes I did have my uni library log ins for I believe roughly six months to one year afterwards, then you’re faced with the true cost of independent research - sometimes it can be £30/£40 at minimum just to access one article, subscriptions to journals can be better but also expensive and I was lucky enough to do online conferences during the pandemic so the travel cost wasn’t a factor as much but the conference fees were very real and very hard - not saying I regret any of this, but it was my reality that I chose to abandon my PhD that I would have loved to do because the cost of doing it for three years was too much but also the money and time cost of applying and participating in academia was getting far too much as well. I follow several Twitter accounts from independent researchers who have made it work but will outline the harsh truths as well - so forgive me if this 100th example of Ruby being completely blind to something she should, ironically, research into before she starts preaching to everyone pisses me off slightly

No one knows Ruby though. And actually, it’s more harmful to victims to completely state that Ruby’s intentions just because she’s a girl and a bit nerdy and awkward aren’t bad.

All we can go on are what she gives us. Which is a load of red flags. No one is making any claims, just that she acts strange. She actually watches a tv programme with lots of little girls in it… how is that related to mentoring girls? That is something she chooses to do in her spare time.

We’re looking at what she gives us, and it’s strange. And we’re commenting on it.

I'll never understand Ruby's weather-related decisions. The advice is to keep windows closed during the daytime, but even if you want them open there's no sane reason to keep your curtains/blinds open too. Airport runways have literally been melting, Ruby. The outside is hot right now. At least we know she's drinking lots of water.

In case anyone's curious about the Lamy pen advert, the link's here:
Lmfao so the Lamy pen advert is literally just her filming herself at different angles whilst sat at her desk writing letters 😭? That’s not an advert, that’s just a standard shite ruby granger yt video

You can already see how her life is starting to unravel without the external structure, praise and validation she used to receive at school/uni. She's already flailing about trying and failing to organize herself and preaching and bragging to her viewers in an attempt to cope, and it's only July! She hasn't even officially graduated yet! She has a full year of sitting at home without any structure ahead of her!

I'd feel bad for her, but she really did this to herself lmao
Tattle predicted this as soon as she first announced that she was taking a gap year. You could see it coming from a mile away.

Taking a gap year with no plans and only a vague idea of what to do would be bad for anyone imo. Let alone someone like Ruby who thrives on external praise, structure and strict schedules.

The pen advert is similar to Erimentha in that she claims she’s embarrassed by it but still provides a direct link to it like wtf. Also what could anyone even take away from watching it, all it shows is her inability to move on from the past, she could’ve just said that she made an embarrassing ad when she was younger and it’s somewhere on her channel. Is she expecting people to praise her for a vid she made eons ago like she’s the next Scorsese or what

Agree and I'm sure there was a temper tantrum that went with
"But mommy I want to wear my tailcoat and the pretty cat skirt"
Mother Granger: "No, my little cherub, you can dress like an Edwardian street urchin's fever dream come to life when we get home. You need to dress like a modern grown-up for the day for your graduation pictures."

I don't know if she is a creep. But I've known enough people that seemed much like her, who ended up being creeps (even jailed for offending against minors) that it doesn't seem a trivial idea to me. She's obviously a person struggling with at least some mental health and physical health issues. I really hope that these issues are all that contributes to her seemingly sinister behaviour. But, if I were a person in her circle, I'd be aware that hope is not enough and there have been enough red flags now to steer well clear.
[/QUOTE]

I think we can confidently say there's nothing sinister or creepy about Ruby's intentions; she's not a paedophile, but that doesn't make the whole thing anymore off and strange. It's an attempt to cling onto a happy period in her life and as being Head Girl is seemingly her crowning achievement in life, she wants to relive that multiple times over and impart her wisdom to the new one (whether it's wanted or not).

However, even without the creepy side to it, it shouldn't be encouraged. I'm not sure how parents would feel and the safeguarding issues feel they should be present in some form. As people have said, if Jack Edwards revisited his old school to find out who the Head Boy/Girl was, people would understandably see it as grooming as with wrong intentions behind it.

Ruby just shouldn't do it. She needs to let go of that period of her life and if her parents won't intervene, the school should. They won't, as she is a notable alumnus, but they're stroking her ego and it's all just very odd.

I hope Roobee "flogs" every single second of today. Title: My daily graduation routine: Wholesome and productive
Breaking News from Exeter: "Crazed university student terrorises graduation ceremony; snatches every other First-class graduate's degree award while shrieking, "MINE! MINE! MINE!""

News Update: "Exeter graduate tazed and arrested after attempting to give rambling 4 hour acceptance speech for non-existent 'Most Gifted Student in History' award."

not just you don't worry, she tends to slur a lot of sentences together in the same way I do when I'm drunk and it can be hard to tell what she's actually saying plus she sometimes does this faux whisper so you have to strain to listen and I think she speeds up her videos as well.
Not helped by the fact she can't explain things to save her life so I always mis understand what she's actually trying to do
She’s not very good at editing sound, and doesn’t bother to equalise the levels so in the same video it’s all REALLY LOUD and then it’s really quiet. She also doesn’t seem to know about fading music in and out so if you turn the volume up for a quiet part then you’re likely to have your eardrums burst by the millionth rendition of The Dance of the Little Swans suddenly coming in with all the dials set to 11.

I think there is an element of speeding up her voiceovers so that they sound higher and more child-like, but she also does that irritating thing that a lot of YouTubers do where they edit out all of the natural pauses in their speech, which just makes the whole video sound like one massive run-on sentence. It’s very distracting to listen to.

I wonder if she's using this book to assist with therapy or something. Surely a 22-year-old is not rating how kind she was out of 5 from her own volition.
This is her own ”kindness journal” that she sells, she must have a ton of stock to move still. It’s a few years old.

I just watched Eve Bennett's update video (clearly doing a round up of study youtubers I'd forgotten existed) and wow, what a difference in how she presents compared with Ruby. Seems like she's suddenly grown up, moving to London to pursue a vocational course, living with a boyfriend. I do find it really sad to see people like Ruby and Holly Gabrielle just haven't progressed past education. This studytube stuff probably doesn't help, they seem so socially stunted.
I wonder if they (the studytubers) threw themselves into studying because of their social difficulties. I mean, if Ruby and Holly always found socialising hard, maybe they overcompensated by focusing on academic work - an area where they felt confident in their abilities - so their studytube channels functioned as a confidence boost as well as a form of avoidance. Of course, the longer people avoid things the harder it gets for them to face the issues, so it's not a good strategy in the long-run.

Oh god there’s going to be an educational segment, make sure you have a drink on hand

I recommend watching the vid with the sound off so you can enjoy the lovely views in peace.

Haha. I've also just noticed that the title says 'under a falling sun' instead of a setting sun.

Warning: it is not safe to stand under a sun that's hurtling towards the earth.

If I were Ruby, I would make videos about my old videos and review them and point out what was good advice and what not and so on. I think that would be a nice change from her usual stuff.
so, Ruby, if you are reading this, here is an idea for you.
That’s a good idea, but it would require self-awareness and an ability to critique herself, and she’s incapable of that.

I first came to tattle because I thought Ruby promoted some unhealthy habits and was curious if anyone else thought the same. I was shocked when I saw all the detective work you guys do to expose every aspect of how she's a fraud, from debunking her "productive" day-in-the-life videos to analyzing her ED behaviors. Most viewers aren't watching the color of her nail polish or zooming in on her laptop screen, so while they know she's generally privileged and a bit out of touch, they don't realize the extent of her lies and just how bizarre her behavior is.

Somehow critical thinking and calling someone out for non acceptable behavior always gets twisted into being jealous.
I don't understand influencers who accuse others of being jealous. Isn't the point of influencing for people to be jealous of you so they buy your lotion or workout plan or academic planner? It's an inherently narcissistic career, even if the subject matter is studying. When you make advice videos you're basically saying "I am the best at school, I am the person you should be taking advice from".

Ruby knows she has thousands of people watching her videos. She knows we know she fakes her videos and academic persona. And still she chooses to post ED bait and sell a false image of herself, knowing that most viewers will not be sleuths. When you put stuff on the internet, you agree that other people will watch it and have their own opinions on it. She has earned every critical comment she's gotten.

I mean, a lot of uni logins won't last "for the rest of your life" unless specific unis have an alumni extension scheme. A lot of external memberships of uni libraries don't include online access to things like JSTOR either so great tip, Ruby!

Her daily TikToks are just a swift descent into unhinged madness now.

View attachment 1399086

Ruby angrily glares at the camera and sounds so pissed off as she churns out yet another undeclared ad for gifted tea.

"NOT to be dramatic. But this is the BASST...loiyke...PLAIN green tea oiy've avver tried.

It's the...(holds up the package to remember what the hell she's supposed to be pretending she likes)...Mao Feng Green Tea.

(ANGRILY SLAMS THE PACKAGE DOWN ON THE DESK WITH DISDAIN.)

If you loiyke green tea...(takes a slow, disgustingly loud slurp of tea and does not swallow).

(Talks with a MOUTHFUL OF FUCKING TEA.) You need this..."

What fresh madness is this? Ruby declaring that each new tea she gets gifted is her new favourite is predictable at this point, but Ruby delivers this one so angrily and can't even swallow the tea she's pretending she likes. The undeclared ads have reached a new now. Have Teapigs got you at gunpoint, Ruby? Hold up two charity donation receipts if you need help.
It looks so watery and tasteless as well. I drink green tea every now and then and I enjoy it, but that looks rank.

Also what in the handmaid's tale is going on with her fit lol

Another unhinged Tiktok book recommendation - this time Ruby recommends Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne (btw had to keep replaying that part of the video because I could barely understand what she was saying with her accent even though I'm a native English speaker). And yet again her review of the book is just words without actually saying anything:

'it is dated but this does make it a very interesting book to read critically, kind of in the wider contexts, but just be aware of that going in that it is dated... the writing though is exquisite and I love the descriptions of under the sea, they're really good'

Gorl I don't even know where to begin with this shallow review. An interesting book to read critically how?? In the wider contexts of what exactly? And of course as always she describes the writing as exquisite. She's said so many words but still managed to tell her audience absolutely nothing about what the book is even about, other than it's dated and exquisite. I doubt she's even read it.
