Her thing about doing a random “readathon” really confuses me - in the BookTube community (and just in general) readathons are themed, last a day to a couple of weeks, have prompts (and can be extremely well organised and detailed around their theme) and most importantly they specifically function to bring together the COMMUNITY of readers who are interested in that theme - live shows, Twitter conversations, IG and YouTube videos etc - but then there’s Ruby taking this concept and turning it into the most solitary thing imaginable she reads alone, doesn’t discuss the books with anyone before posting her one note opinions etc

obviously nothing wrong with being a solitary person / introvert in general, here I’m specifically talking about readathons
