The new reel on her IG about going to see Waitress - she is literally wearing a primary school summer uniform dress - something designed for actual children!!
It looks awful with those black tights, and with white tights she'd literally look like a five-year-old. But I guess nude tights are too adult for her.

I honestly don't understand how someone can get 2000 words over their word count. I am writing a 1500 word essay for uni and I'm so close to the word count and I have no idea how to reach the final goal xD
It's probably because you or I would try to make sure that what we wrote was relevant to the question/topic. Ruby clearly goes off on tangents and writes about irrelevant things that she then needs to spend time cutting out. She's NOT a role model for students.

It would be fine if Ruby DID genuinely think "ah that grey sky is so beautiful" but it's obvious she doesn't. It's all part of her "wow I'm so deep and literary and intellectual" act but the only genuine thing that comes through is how unhinged she is.

As a huge musical theatre fan I can say 1) I’m very surprised she went to see Waitress given it’s a Rom-com about romance but also touched on abusive relationships, infidelity, tough lives, young motherhood, having to work hard in a diner job to just get by and 2) I will tell anyone for free that I have no bloody clue what that outfit it it looks literally nothing like anything from the show 🙃 even down to the colours of the show’s marketing are blue and pink

I don't want to try and diagnose her with anything, but as an autistic woman around her age it seems pretty likely to me that she has it. Obviously every autistic person is different but like her, it took me a lot longer than my peers to grow up and become more independent. I also have extremely poor organisational skills and easily lose track of household tasks. It's quite sad really because I can't even imagine how much harder it would have been for me growing up if I'd been broadcasting my entire life to the internet. I wish that she'd quit being an influencer and just spend time privately figuring out who she is as a person. She surely doesn't need the extra money, she can afford to take time out.

I don't see why it's surprising that she went to see it? Just because she has a very sheltered life herself doesn't mean she wouldn't be interested in a show about different experiences🤷 I've never fought in a revolution myself yet Les Mis is my all time favourite show🤷

I hate trying to pin a dx on her, but I agree. I am autistic and special interests and hyperfixations can be awful. It's super clear that her obsession with Matilda is probably a special interest, and that her "childishness" (I despise that word) has to deal with not being able to root out of those special interests or hyperfixations. Not all autistic people have issues with adjustment to different places, but it seems that Ruby tends to focus herself in going home not because of adjustment issues, but because it literally is part of her routine now.

I completely understand where you’re coming from, I more mean I’m surprised because Ruby has specifically tailored at least her broadcasted love of musical theatre to only those that fit with her “gifted child” mentality like Matilda, even when she’s mentioned darker shows like Ocean At The End of The Lane or Dear Evan Hansen it’s been limited to her knowledge of the books before hand and DEH she heavily focused on it being set in a high school rather than the tough issues it faces which she never mentioned - she just seems to shelter herself (at least from what we can see in her videos) especially from things involving a huge focus on adult messy romantic relationships as well - if she genuinely enjoyed it all the better for her and that’s awesome I’m just surprised is all

Interesting, the book on literary dedications gets slammed on Goodreads for citing Wikipedia in every paragraph: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22208451-once-again-to-zelda A great work to cite in your dissertation, then.

This reviewer might as well be talking about Ruby's essays...
Loving how Ruby is complaining about grammar errors when she constantly makes spelling and grammatical errors 😂 The irony.. I can't..

Long time lurker here and I couldn't stop wondering what on earth is Roobster's accent? I'm from the States but I've spent some time living in London and I've never ever heard anyone speak like she does.
It's a mix of different southern English accents. I'm English and even I am confused by her accent sometimes!

Yeah I do get what you mean, Ruby has centered her whole online image of basically being like a Victorian child and she never really seems to talk about 'adult' stuff at all. I guess we can never know what goes on in her head and maybe she isn't as childish as she lets on but this is her persona now so she has to stick with it kind of thing. You might be right in that maybe she just ignores the more adult themes in these kinds of show since she basically wore a primary school summer dress to go and see it lol

Yeah but Ruby is not interested in different experiences, if something doesn't focus on white 12 year old girls who love books and are different from their peers she's not interested in it

I grew up about ten miles from where Rubber Ring lives. Her accent is one hundred percent an affectation to make her sound posh and intellectual, an attempt at a cut-glass Home Counties accent that greatly exaggerates her natural one. Pretty much nobody I know or speak to when I go visit my parents speaks that way unless we are taking the Michael.

The degree of regression from when she started university is quite devastating to see in truth, and I believe that the turn her dissertation has taken (from what we can see) is emblematic of the “chaos” a mental illness - namely an ED - can bring.

i suspended my own Exeter English degree months from graduation because I knew that I wasn’t well enough to do that dissertation - at least not without driving down my health to a point from which I might not be able to return.

Her waitress reel is just… with that outfit she looks like a child. I teach kids in upper KS2 and she wouldn’t look out of place there. Someone needs to intervene and fast 😔

FOREVER screaming at how superficial everything is with her. What is with that blue sky ramble? It's not like she even knows anything about nature or the environment. She never names any plants, or mentions wildlife, and I doubt she'd know a bird if it hit her in the face. So how are we actually supposed to believe any of this "oh, the beauty of nature!" nonsense? It's all a lie!!!
But Ruby studied science at A-level, so she "understands how the world works on a molecular level". Ruby doesn't see a sky or a tree. She sees the molecular Matrix code of the universe. It must be so overwhelming for her.

Tbh Marfa looks like she did a better job with matching to the outfit theme compared to poor Ruby in her school summer dress. In that pic posted a couple of pages ago, it looks like Marfa is babysitting Ruby and taking her on a day out!

The resemblance is uncanny…

I wonder what she’d wear to a gifted showing of Cabaret?
