Back to dressing like a primary school child and "enjoying" her trying desperately to find material for her dissertation disaster in Sparknotes "studying".

Tbh I'd rather she put on something with more shape but more built up on top than that shapeless dress. Is it even that warm in the UK rn? It just bothers me she looks so uncomfortable and it's totally not her style when she could have worn something much nicer which could be more her style and more comfortable.

Maybe I'm the exception here, and I'm not a fan of strapless dresses myself, but I think she looks lovely.

I think the dress looks nice! The necklace, too. Something about it seems kind of 90s French red carpet to me, but maybe I also have no idea what I’m taking about. That’s definitely a possibility as well tbh. You can just tell that she’s very uncomfortable wearing it and she must not have expected to wear it without anything over it.
I’m kind of worried about some of the consequences of this, though.
I think that this dress would not look that great on any normal person who has an ounce of body large on them. I’m worried that all of the positive comments she’s getting now that she’s really revealed herself will lead to more ED behavior since she’s gotten praise for her very thin appearance.

this is what i mean by her playing with lighting and filters to make her cheeks look more hollow and give her skin a yellowish hue

Back to dressing like a child to help her recover after dressing up more like someone her age for once. She looks like she is about to cry/just very miserable in this photo.

Ah, I think the tailcoat is what she has folded in her hands in the red carpet photo.

Apparently Ruby got soOoOoO many messages of people complimenting her outfit that night. Either she's overexaggerating or she only chose which messages she wanted to read.. My friend's message is still left on unread!

What gets me is how random this is. Ruby would never in a million years watch a Netflix show like Anatomy of a Scandal. Most of her followers are probably too young to watch it anyway. So why did they have her there?

I think so too. It would have been nice if she'd done more with her hair, like curled it or put it up in a bun, and maybe worn different shoes, but overall she looks pretty and appropriate to the occasion. (And extremely uncomfortable, but tbh I'd probably feel awkward being photographed on a red carpet also.)

In the photos on the red carpet she’s wearing the black dress, but I’m the photos her mum took at home she’s wearing her tailcoat.

Did a stylist tell her she had to take it off when she got there? 😂 Really wouldn’t surprise me tbh
I was just coming on to say she looks lovely very underweight but in a age appropriate dress no ruffles and white tights then scrolled across and there's the bloody tailcoat

Do you guys think her followers are young?

I always assumed that most of them are at university age and watch her content because they can somewhat identify with the university lifestyle.

I know she had younger followers before but I think it was during her Hermione-impression time and they grew up with her and should be in their 20s too.

I can't really imagine anyone under 17/18-ish finding her content relatable or interesting. There are lots of high school vloggers as well.

The Hermione-stuff has also since been deleted (most of it) so I don't think she attracts younger people who watch her old stuff a lot.

Judging from her comment section it seems most of her viewers are middle school to high school aged students, like 12 to 17?
Honestly I think she mostly skews that demographic of nerdy tween girls who are not like other girls. I can't see uni students enjoying her content. Her lifestyle might look appealing to a younger person who likes that sort of thing (books, vintage stuff etc), but a 20 to 25 year old would immediately notice how absurd and cringy most of the things she does are

I never noticed that, to be honest. I always got the impression that most grew up with her and are now at uni. I only noticed school comments under the really old ones and they were old as well. But then again I never read all of them, only the top ones.

*Most* of her viewers probably are 12 to 17. And then there are the other ones. Ruby’s audience seems to be made up of young ‘intellecshuals’ who desperately try to outdo each other with the verbosity of their comments, or middle-aged blokes with usernames like ‘kevin46’ who leave really quite odd comments about how lovely Ruby is. She has a very … diverse audience.
