All of these Netflix screenings are too much, it’s ridiculous. Heart stopper is definitely not Ruby’s jam anyway! A kids tv show set in modern times, about a teen romance? That’s absolutely not her vibe :ROFLMAO: I suppose I can see why Jack would go, he reviews a lot of those tiktok famous books that are popular with teenagers. So it’s sort of relevant to him.

At this point Ruby’s management would send her to the opening of a packet of crisps!! How many premieres in a week??

I struggle with the concept of Ruby washing her hands a lot/too much. They live in squalor (both her family home and at uni) and she touches everything eg all the books in Waterstones. She gets on her hands and needs to wash the years-of-filth floor without a second thought. She frequently has food or other unidentifiable stuff on her hands in her vlogs and stories. I could go on. I just don’t see it.

I can’t get over that she went with her dad, when every other ‘studytuber’ there came solo - not just that, but people she knows! Even if her dad was in London, from the looks of her stories so was her mum? So why didn’t her parents do something for the day and let Ruby be an independent adult for once!
Unless, of course, the Downton execs invited daddy Bones as an “influencer” in his own right… 😂
Does that mean her parents chaperoned her to the Netflix premiere too?

Can you imagine thinking you invited an influencer to your event and ending up with a 12-year-old girl dressed like Marie Curie and accompanied by her parents

I love how she's now preaching against the toxic productivity and grade-stressing of academia as though forcing yourself to smile for 30 seconds directly after waking up isn't some of the most unhinged toxic shit she's produced in the past two weeks

yup. If she has to make a whole video about ”planning for easter break studying” and the actual planning for studying takes up less than 30 seconds of the video, she’s floundering. Instead, it was all about how she tries to convince herself she loves what she’s doing, break ideas, snack ideas, a list of her priorities where ”finish dissertation” is prominently lacking, a sneaky ad for gifted snack bars, and some ”cleaning”. A timetable where ”dissertation” is pencilled in for mornings, together with ”overflow tasks”, and the rest of the day is filled with ”no work” and ”family time”.
It's very clear she hates what she does and is fed up with it.
It's normal to not love your degree or your job 100% of the time even though you do enjoy what you do. No matter how much you love it, all jobs are hard.
But you can't struggle so much while working, need so many strategies and tricks to force yourself to go on, end up not doing much anyway, and still think it's normal, you love your degree and you're not burnt out.
It would be much better for everyone, Ruby included, if she just admitted she's struggling and stopped pretending that everything is fine.

Thats because she uses the same tea bag ten times then complains the tea is weak
Good point. Maybe they've only gifted her a single teabag and she's just been getting lots of mileage out of it? 😂

She’s off her head in this one wtf, ‘she wouldn’t play games, she would practise her swimming’ jesus christ losen up a bit!! Why did she aspire to be the most insufferable version of hermione?!
This is going to sound petty, but it's bothering me how she takes a massive intake of breath before speaking, as though she's about to dive underwater, and I can't unsee the way her mouth moves in such a wide, exaggerated manner when she's talking. I've only noticed this in her earliest videos. Were these Hermoine/Emma Watson tics?

I assume seven drafts means, that she wrote out the thesis once, and then edited it partially or completely six times after that. She likely saved each version as a new draft.

Was just rewatching some old nonsense
Ah yes, I sympathise. There has been a content drought lately. 😂

I love how the Easter bunny hats have made the profile pics extra amusing. @morganmichelle look, yours fits perfectly on top of Ruby's head and she looks so pleased about the unique fashion choice. It also fits in with the magician's tailcoat.

Ruby: "Mummy, I've made lunch for the whole family again!"

Mother Granger to Father Bones: "Oh look, beloved Ruby has made garlic bread. It's bread with actual garlic cloves" *shares exasperated look*

Father Bones: "Well, at least it's not cabbage porridge again"

I know we all despair of the plinkety plonk and the neverending sugarfucking plumfairy, but let us give thanks here and now that at least she no longer slaps THIS atrocity on absolutely everything, like she did at one point. Begins around 9:05 and continues all the way through to the end.

Wow I was looking at that wondering which thing looked least appetizing out of the diet crisps, the sad bowl of cress, the basket of uncooked asparagus or the single bottle of wine between 4 people… then I clicked to the next story and I think the winner has to be the plate of toast garnished with whole unchopped cloves of garlic! Who tf eats like this pls 😭

My Italian soul just left my body and my ancestors are rolling in their graves.

What the actual f is this. Why is the garlic just chilling. Why does it almost look raw. What is that basic bitch bread. Why.

Oh, the deep joy at Roobs saying everyone should be more "bombastic" like Matilda, the dictionary definition of which is:

"using long and difficult words, usually to make people think you know more than you do".

Sound familiar?
Sooo … Ruby makes a post referencing the climate crisis and her parents, as well as owning at least two houses (three if you count Ruby’s), and at least two cars and a camper van, are apparently in California at the moment. Not to mention Ruby’s own huge carbon footprint accrued mainly through constantly travelling between home and uni (and making her parents drive down almost every week to see her). Does she not see the hypocrisy here?

The most heart-warming part: Ruby's mum is practically in the room, then there's a cut to a static camera and she's suddenly reapproaching from a further distance. Ruby came home for her birthday and immediately started telling her mum to go away and re-enter the room after she'd set up the camera so that she could get a staged hug on film.
Omg truee :ROFLMAO: I mean who just casually keeps a whole static camera in their kitchen 🤦‍♀️

It's annoying though cause I was really really looking forward to stealing some charity money. But what can you do heh

A bit hypocritical for someone who said she didn't enjoyed her time at uni to cry about leaving that uni. If it's more the city she'll miss, there's a simple solution ( especially when you have money like her ) : rent a place to live here and find a job. Like Idk how many students after their studies.
EDIT: wearing a béret at home Ruby ? Seriously ?

I think I'm finished with Ruby. Maybe over the next year she'll have some big awakening, get the help she needs, face her mental health struggles, and start taking the steps to becoming an independent adult. But I seriously doubt it. I have no interest in watching her continue to regress in her childhood bedroom as her scalp continues to recede and she continues to make fake-smile grimaces, play pretend being an author, and continue to play dress-up. There are so many more interesting young adult content creators (and I hesitate to even call her that, she's more like a content copy and paster). She's becoming too painful to watch.
I'll still be here for the tea though. @gossip_guy has a real talent for words.
