Another studytuber I follow (studyquill) just posted a video all about how she’s taking a step back from youtube because she did youtube full time over the summer and got sick of watching, thinking and talking about herself. She may not have it all figured out, but I feel like she’s just miles ahead of Roobster in maturity. Thinking ahead to what she wants to do with her life, being realistic about her options, recognizing that youtube isn’t viable in the long term? Roobee could never.

Yeah, that’s not going to happen with most of the UK StudyTubers, I’m afraid …

I find it really strange, but I'm kind of weird with beverages, especially ones that should be a certain temperature. It would kill me to have two mugs of liquid cooling simultaneously. How to consume them at the optimal temperature? One would be neglected or too cold by the time I was ready for it! And sipping from each is just wrong.

It is bizarre. Do not understand it at all. I'd rather have a fresh cup of tea than a lukewarm one that has been sitting for ages. At least put one in a flask or teapot or something so it stays warm?

I find it hard to believe she spent her formative years there and not a single elitist/right wing view has stuck. I think her political views are very close to my own family’s political views. My mum’s family is very posh, but without a whole lot of money, and they’re very snobbish. They still vote either social liberal or leftist parties. People who vote right wing are definitely looked down upon. The biggest difference between our families is probably the lack of money (My family isn’t poor, just average), so we aren’t completely shut of off normal life. Oh and I’m Dutch, so private schools are not a thing at all here

Uni during the pandemic has definitely been difficult so I don't blame her for feeling a bit isolated. That being said there are things she could do about it why not join the english society or the tea society (if there even is one). That being said there doesn't look to be much in Exeter from Google Maps and I would be bored out of my brain there so activities might be a bit hard. I am not saying she should be as out there as Marfa but she could at least try put herself out there a tiny bit more.
The other thing it is quite apparent that she has bullied walking around Exeter from some of her older videos. I think that may have something to do with it and it's really not very nice. I think that going to a private school may of been to her detriment a little bit as they are feed everything on a platter instead of having to search for likeminded people.

But Ruby doesn't practice nor does she have anything interesting to say. Saying she's 'always writing a book' is another way for her to seem productive and give her young fans unrealistic expectations.

I wasn't referring to Ruby in particular, but to the statement "some people just aren't meant to be writers".

It's your big research project that shows off your interest in a subject in your area. Generally it's around 10k words, so it's a very long essay that shows off how well you know the topic.

Like a final assigment to obtain her bachelor's?

I think Ruby’s school was more of a good girls day school turning out well mannered accomplished posh girls rather than true academics tbh

Not that it makes much of a difference but I don't think Ruby went to private school. I swear I saw somewhere that she went to an all girls grammar school feel free to correct me though.

I just now saw her latest insta story and I have so many questions. Why is the laptop half opened? Why is there a knot in the charger cable? Is that a tea pot on the floor? I don't even know what's next to it on the floor. Are there dead flowers in the cup she put her pens and pencils in? What's going on with that window? Why is that picture positioned like some picture a person would pick up or look at in a horror movie?
