She said she put an offer in for it so it wasn't a private sale.Sorry if anybody has said this; I’m just catching up. But I suppose it could have been a private sale? Friends/family/grandparents etc

Yes...she is developing backwardsAs annoying as she came across in that video, she did actually sound more intelligent and mature than she does now.
Ok if someone's interested - she shows bits from 4:45! But she does mention at 5:10 that she filmed a video of herself staying there for the night and I do remember something like that! Can we find the house tour video somewhere there too?(would be muuuch appreciated! )
"Oposiciones", as this girl says, are like public exams for Spain's administration. It's totally normal for someone who is pursuing these exams to expend 10-12 hours/day studying. So in this case I would say it's not "Ruby vibes" related hahaWow what fresh studytuber hell is this on my tiktok fyp today?
A 9am-9pm study with me session during summer? Pure Ruby vibes
So many comments are calling her out like ‘IT’S SUMMER WHAT ARE YOU DOING, GO TO THE BEACH!!!!’

It's so obvious that most of that came from her parents, especially her dad I'm guessing. It's highly unlikely an 18 year old - especially one as detached from reality as Ruby - would ever have thought to start buying property as an investment. Her dad's clearly told her do do all this and she has no comprehension of the potential implications of buying property and then not living in it, or the fact that this isn't something a normal 18 year old would do."I am paying my mortgage completely myself"
Except you're not are you Ruby, because your tenants are paying it for you.
"I wanted to invest my money... house prices do go up"
Bingo.
"It's becoming increasingly difficult for young people to get on the property ladder"
And one of the reasons why is because people like yourself are buying properties that they don't even live in.
"I am moving into my own cottage"
You never moved in Ruby and I'm not sure you ever will.
This video has annoyed me even more than it did when it first went up! She's talking about it like it's a new toy.
Oh tit I didn’t even read that, I just saw the study with me in summer title and was like WHAT"Oposiciones", as this girl says, are like public exams for Spain's administration. She can't possibly be a Tory, why, she has Michelle Obama AND Hillary Clinton's books”My first property” really grated on me. Congrats, Roobee, you were born to privilege and you’re going to continue in your privilege, oblivious to the real world, like the little tory your parents have made in their image. Go ahead and buy a second one, why don’t you, as long as the youtube cash is still rolling in.
It's very possible that she already owns more properties, but after the reception of that video she decided to keep quiet about them.”My first property” really grated on me. The same is happening in rural parts of Wales - English people are buying up cottages to use as holiday lets and second homes without allowing Welsh folk born and bred in the area to get on the property ladder. This is particularly heart-breaking for Welsh-speaking areas. Property is investment sure, but there should be restrictions on ownership and occupancy. The council tax alone on Ruby's property would bankrupt me, so renting without any opportunity to buy the place would just be unsustainable for most people.I've seen a few stories in papers recently where people born and raised in villages in idyllic areas like Cornwall are priced out of their village by people buying second homes or landlords buying multiple properties.People like Ruby. Instead these villagers either have to inherit a home in their area or pay astronomical rent, or buy a house at inflated price just to stay where they have always lived, where their friends are, etc. It's disgusting.
Ruby really needs to learn how privileged she is because she really doesn't relate to 99% of her audience.
She keeps them under her pillow like a safety blanket, and so that she can absorb the Tory energy in her sleep.just realised she never showed her jacob rees mogg or david cameron book on her bookshelf tour, don't be shy girl share you thoughts on them with the class
To get a mortgage though, regardless of the deposit, she would need to prove at least two years of steady and significant income. If she put down the minimum deposit, that still means she’s borrowing £450000 and that’s a huge mortgage which would require SERIOUS dosh. I just don’t buy it.She said she bought the house with the minimum deposit, at the time would've been 5% so she had £16,250. I suppose it's believable she had saved that much from youtube, as she doesn't really have any expenses so could easily save that much money up over a couple of years or less (which shows how privileged she is!). And like others have said, she's not paying the mortgage, her tenants are. She's not exactly working hard
It actually sold for £325,000 but according to some investment websites, it's lost value since the purchase. To get a mortgage though, regardless of the deposit, she would need to prove at least two years of steady and significant income. Even if she borrowed £300000, she’d have to have proved she could make the repayments independently of rental income. And if she has a 25 year mortgage, that’s around £1700 a month. How much is she earning from ?!It actually sold for £325,000 but according to some investment websites, it's lost value since the purchase.
I’m always a wee bit sceptical when I see stories about how difficult it is for people to buy homes in villages because they’re being bought by non-locals to use as holiday lets. I don’t doubt it happens but in my own experience (growing up in the Peak District) a lot of these holiday lets are owned by locals … There’s no way on God’s green earth I can afford to live where I was brought up, but the reality is that when properties come up for sale they’re often snapped up by locals to either redevelop (and sell for a huge profit) or to do up and rent out as holiday lets. It’s a bit of a vicious circle and I agree something should be done, but it frustrates the hell out of me when you hear locals complaining that villages are losing essential services whilst also owning holiday cottages that don’t have the same need for those services. No housing (either to rent or to buy) means no families, which means you risk the loss of the primary school, and when a school closes the local shop follows soon after, and then you’ve lost your Post Office and banking capability. Then people stop using the village at all and it just becomes a commuter dormitory for the nearest big town. It’s so sad.The same is happening in rural parts of Wales - English people are buying up cottages to use as holiday lets and second homes without allowing Welsh folk born and bred in the area to get on the property ladder.
