On a side note. Can a healthy person confirm that her portion sizes aren’t adequate? Anorexia is telling me otherwise so I need someone else to tell me!
I'm considered by my friends and family to have a rather small appetite (never had an ED and I am at a healthy weight, I just get full fast) and even I would eat at least double her portions, if not more. Nobody over 5 yo would be able to correctly sustain themselves with what she eats, your body needs food in order to work correctly!

good luck on the recovery though <3, it sucks that, not only is Ruby hurting herself (and as much as she annoys me I do wish for her to be healthy and happy), but that she is also causing harm to other people with her ED-baiting.

Playing with your dogs isn't a task to tick off a list. It's just part of having pets. Who needs to be reminded to give their own dogs attention?

I can absolutely envisage Ruby moving into lifestyle vlogging/ being a social media influencer as a full time career. At some point if she moves out of her parent's house and into her cottage I can see her doing cottagecore videos. And changing from productivity to lifestyle / mental health type videos and products. Pumpkin Productivity becomes Pumpkin Mindfulness. If it proves lucrative then I don't see her doing something else, especially anything close to a day to day, stressful kind of career.

Ruby's latest insta video....I am cringing so hard. Playing dress up to try and look like Siegfried Sassoon? She is an absolute embarrassment.

Dressing up as a fox hunter as a vegan is always a good look 😬

I think she's pretty much squandered any hope of making a long-term career out of YouTube at this point. She'll run on fumes for a while until her viewers vanish.

She hasn't grown at all in the years she's been doing this, and hasn't improved as a content creator either either technically or creatively. She's growing increasingly irrelevant, and it's never been more apparent that she has no creative skills or business acumen. There's dozens of immediately obvious ways to grow and improve her brand, her content and her business, but she's completely oblivious and far too lazy. She'd rather spend 12 hours a day making Notion ticklists for the following day.

She's coasting on her fandom from years ago. They'll outgrow her very quickly where they haven't already and want more relatable content, while Ruby will still be stuck in the past, churning out the same low-effort, half-assed routines, while the younger kids who grow into her audience range will find her content irrelevant. Other Studytubers have stayed relevant by improving, adapting and expanding the breadth of their content or growing along with their initial audience. Ruby has just stagnated, and her output is identical to when she started.

I think if she tried focusing on any other sub-genres or areas of interest, her lack of effort and insight would quickly betray her. We've seen what she's like with her "interest" in other aesthetics and hobbies. She never dips below the surface, never does any research and always shows a lazy misunderstanding of half the things she claims an interest in. I think she'd fail miserably since for any focused interest area like that, there's a dozen major YouTubers doing it better, with more skill and infinitely more knowledge.

I think she knows some loyal fans will buy it all so she makes a good profit from it.

All she has to do is sell 5 items at 20 quid and she will make 100. Fans will buy anything.
It's pretty sickening, especially as clothes listed on sites like eBay tend to sell for significantly less - that dress would probably sell for £3 on there.

"Call ambulance for grandma ✔"
Long-term version: ”Don’t invite Grandma over for dinner any more.” I feel like I need to wash my hands and disinfect my sink every time Roobee films her kitchen, surely it’s no place for the elderly and immunocompromised.

I’ve said it before (as have others) and I’ll say it again, Roobee’s love for her dog(s) (let’s face it, mainly Lola) is merely performative. She doesn’t give two shits about anyone but herself, let alone an unproductive animal.

So the only 'chore' she does is the dishwasher? Why does she need to write that down? I did a lot more housework than that when I was her age (and younger) and still living at home. I wasn't charged rent so I wanted to help out in any way I could. It's not like she has any other real responsibilities. No wonder the house is a mess!

I’m not sure why this popped in my head, but I can see Ruby just having no idea of the major significance of general cultural events as they happen?

Her “fascination” (obsession that isn’t even well executed in her “researched videos”) with the past is so coddling that beyond her occasional mention of veganism and the environment, she just seems totally oblivious to major cultural significant moments happening as they are. I’m not saying everyone needs to be absolutely up to date and you may just miss some things, also not saying she needs to share absolutely everything on social media I’m more talking about how it feeds into her perception of things, but take the Euro final or Tom Daley’s gold medal for example I get the strongest impression that if you told Ruby “that’s incredibly significant that an openly gay man just won an Olympic gold medal and everyone is so proud of him for doing it after 13 years of trying” she would just stare at you blankly and just not grasp the significance.

I hope this makes sense I know the main two examples are sport and again I know not everyone follows everything I more mean those moments of “public understanding” I guess, not sure why I needed this rant but I’m just getting more and more annoyed at her only goal being to frolic in a country field 😂

Task 1: Block Grandma on social media - the notifications are too distracting. (Urgent.)
Task 2: Call Grandma in 6 months for 5 minutes. (Important.)
Task 3: Make a note to think about remembering to make a Notion page to add a calendar event to remind you to renew Grandma's insulin prescription. (Non-urgent.)

I buy mostly secondhand and I do find it useful seeing the item I'm interested in being worn as it's hard to gauge the fit/style properly from hanger pics sometimes. However, Ruby's picture doesn't even show the full dress so that's the kind that would annoy me - like it could be any length from what she's shown.
Vintage clothes with lots of panels or tailoring can look weird and boxy on a hanger but look gorgeous when they're on. Without a decent snap or two of the garment on another human I can't imagine how it looks on.

That screen text saying she loved his "nature descriptions"... did he write about hunting? Does that class as a "nature description?"! What?!

"Well I did a back handspring on my trampoline with perfect execution, but do you see me wearing a medal for it?"
"Yes. You spent all of yesterday making it out of cardboard and tin foil."
"I'll have you know that this was given to me by the Queen herself!"
"Really? You're telling me you met the Queen? And I suppose you have photo evidence?"
"Some of us like to live in the moment and not take photos for social media."
"Then why did you post sixteen videos of you frolicking through a field just today?"
"Somebody help! I'm being bullied!"

That to do list doesn't sit right with me, specifically the "play with dogs" and "dog walk" section.

I don't know if it's just me and my experiences of seeing pets get neglected that have made me more aware and sensitive of the topic, but that part sticks out to me. Does she just forget she has dogs so much that she has to remind herself that they exist and she, as a responsible owner, has to socialise with them? As someone previously said on here, shouldn't you want to hang out with your pet out of love, and not be making it into a cross off activity? I can't imagine scheduling time out of your day to play with your pet. Does she just abruptly get up and leave as soon as her 20 minute timer goes off to return to making Notion lists and templates?

Seeing her interact with their dogs makes me miserable, it's so forced. I doubt either sister loves those poor things, I see a house decor, not beloved pets and parts of the family. It weirds me out to see people being so formal with their dogs (that aren't even working dogs) and seeing Martha turn that dog into a clown just for her need to be quirky and random is infuriating. It's like the dogs just are there to fill some middle class bingo square.

Yeah Martha dying her dog's fur does not sit right with me either. It's like it's her little play thing rather than a living being. Idk it would never occur to me to dye my pet's fur. Firstly because she is a cat and I don't think she'd have the patience for that lol and secondly it just feels pointless you know? The dog isn't having fun, you're just dressing it up for your own entertainment, it's so weird.
