I've probably said before, but my passion in life is bringing semi-derelict buildings back into use. This is out of my budget at £400k, but it's going to be absolutely stunning when it's done. (Though the modern extension needs a bulldozer through it!) https://www.galbraithgroup.com/prop...cardine-o-neil-aboyne-aberdeenshire-ab34-5ah/
That's beautiful, or will be when it's done up. What on earth was the thinking behind the terrible modern extension though?! (I'd take great delight in knocking that down).

It was a hotel in the '80s, I think that must have been the reception area. Then an event-hosting space for an oil company in the '90s.

There's one this style (albeit smaller and less remote) in my town and someone did it up and I love it, but it's on the main road

Slap bang in Aberdeen commuter territory too.

For £31 million I'd want a mansion with countryside views, an orangerie, a pool, all the animals and a few nice cars.
London is just mental, I agree for millions of pounds I'd want a house and a nice garden! It'll just end up being bought by foreign investors who leave it empty most of the year

It's stunning but I'd definitely want rural for that money.

If I had £31m to spend in London there’s no way I’d buy in Battersea! Nice though it is. You still have to get over the river every time you go to a party/theatre/gallery/work. (Yes I know you get these south of the river too but mostly north being honest).

Wow the view 😍
Yeah, I reckon I could rattle myself around there quite nicely!

Looking at houses in our village today just to see what's on and there's some nice places, but most of them have the worst photos ever - laundry piled up on beds, kitchen counters covered in dirty dishes, one's even got the computer still on with what looks like the owners work email account open on it! Do estate agents just turn up randomly now and demand to take pictures there and then? Do people not care any more to tidy up a bit before they come round?
