I love Cory and Steve together. They remind me of me and my friends constantly razzing each other all the time. Plus they are both just much more chill than anyone on RTV1.
Steve and Cory last year both got caught trying to increase their numbers by tagging ResortTV1 in their videos. Another creator called them both out and a group of other creators. One of Steve's featured channels asked if using misleading data was against the law and they pointed back out that it falls under Youtube's deceptive practices.

Did anyone watch tonight? I didn't realize they were on and by the time I came on they were off but I saw these comments. The "commenter" in question is a super stan, but a "mopper" agreed with them, so I guess what they said was legit.

What you're missing here is the poster's name/comments that downscale is referring to. Chances are the mod had deleted them by the time you saw this.

I was watching the other night and they were being spammed by someone using a username containing the words porn and sex, obviously to get people to click through to their profile. Youtube did not flag the account name as it was written out using brackets such as S[E]X. The comments were simple, probably generated by an account. The offensive part was the name and potentially what underage children might click through to.

You can't click through to anything on a live chat. Yes a name can be offensive but the only actions available when you click or tap on a username or comment in a live chat are report or block. Could someone really bored type in whatever URL they are spamming as part of their name? Sure but seems pretty unlikely.

I'm not Youtube savvy enough to understand. I clicked on the Twitter account and appears most Disney vloggers put tags on their stuff because other accounts were named for using "metadata" too, including RTV1. Apparently Maria uses it the most, or she did in November anyways.

I looked up a metadata checker tool on Google. He does have some but they are look to be one time things back in 2019. Not like some of that twitter talked about.

So I have to give him credit, he is playing a fair game there.

So Nate has 161K subscribers and his Villains blog has 44K views so far, RSTV1 has 164K and their Villains blog has 8.4K views so far. Yeah stick to the Live stuff.
I know Josh’s fans are obsessed with talking with him during live chats, and so they have no interest in watching vlogs, but I’ve always found it weird how few views he gets compared to other creators.

I know Spokesmayne was convinced Josh was buying subscribers and called him out on it many times, ending their friendship. I think about that every time I see a guy with 160,000 subscribers only getting 8,000 views.

Maria is so cringe. Omg it's like watching one long t-shirt infomercial and the interactions she has with characters are so awkward and long winded.

SpokesShame has no voice in anything as far as I'm concerned, dude is lowest of the low.

As for Josh buying subscribers way back in those early days of his channel? I doubt it. The only channel I could find back then who'd live stream o a regular basis was a woman speaking spanish on her shaky phone. RTV quickly got the attention Josh desired simply by flagging his streams as "LIVE" and the Disney park name. Those click bait titles are a pain though, and the "Live" should be removed post recording.

It was probably SpokesPain who put the idea out there that they were buying subs as he was jealous he wasn't in that circle of streamers who promoted each other, a different topic I'll not get into in this post.

To throw into here, that person I linked the tweets from called Spokesmayne out for using a viewbot service based off his browser results.

I forgot how he has a very neanderthal look to him.
Dude is such a sorry case. He's really smart when it comes to vlogging, good camera work when he tries and knows how to tell a story. He just won't see the value in that and jumps right to cheap shots at others.

Wasn't this the dude who when the pandemic caused everything to close down was attempting to get onto Disney property claiming to be News Media and stating that he had a right to be there?

I watched him during the Jenn days and the way he treated her was Neanderthalic.

Anybody know what happened to Spokesmayne? I definitely wasn't watching for his face to be on camera back in the day. Did he marry the Canadian chick? Is he on some platform other than YouTube?

Looked him up on Social Blade and he's not done anything with his channel other than apparently cleaning up old, questionable videos right after the whole One Chainz thing went down with Tim Tracker. SpokesPain removed enough video content to total over 1.4 million views and never recovered.

So I see he just live streamed EPCOT on Monday 7/11 ... taking a glance at the video he's claiming he's going to be live streaming every other day. Holy tit, he's not improved personality wise at all.

Ugh, his video quality is blurry and is up at Josh-level of money grubbing: Pushing superchats, rolling at the corner right at the start:

I can't watch much of this, he's so slimy I feel dirty for just viewing.
Someone Superchatted $100 3 minutes into the stream causing an obnoxious blackout/explosion. I'm suspecting this "Chris Smith", a super generic name, was someone he knew just to try and get the ball rolling as no one in their right minds would do that within the first few minutes of the stream.

Josh is way too cheap to buy viewers. :ROFLMAO: I think he earned his subscribers legitimately. His vlogs don't perform well because that is not what his viewers want. He made a niche for himself with live streaming. Nobody is looking for Orange Bird cookie reviews from Jenna. They don't have great vlog personalities because they are very bland and boring. They need the live chat to interact with. So, why not just livestream more? I'm guessing it has something to do with maintaining their media status. Vlogs are probably expected.

Imagine logging on thinking you're going to see Food & Wine and you get that RTV1 hoodwink. (Josh had to take over the stream to show his 'vacation' in Colorado)

I expected this, although not on the opening day of F&W, you'd think Jenna and Dale would be over in EPCOT.
Josh had said he was going to try and see if it worked from CO. one day.
He has contracts to meet with his advertisers and had to log on or get Jenna to do it. As we saw with Jenna's DHS stream, she's just not into live streaming alone and I don't fault her for that. You really need an attitude of "I don't care about other people" to do those rides.
