I think he bought her the authentic one then she purchased some replica ones hence the comparison. Still sad ASF tho... The income she gets is only enough to cover the fake ones whereas the real ones she gets are given as gifts from the multiple old men she screws.

Me? I'm not in support of either (but do watch a few "luxury" youtubers and documentarys), just think both sides could show a bit of tolerance and awareness, but noticed a lot of the "hate" was coming from those who are deriding replicas rather than posting about luxe fashion on that thread. At the end of the day, someone made that "fake" Chanel bag, no one seems to question the quality and intention of Chanel selling brass jewellery where the stones ultimately fall out or a "real" chanel bag where the stitching comes undone.

That money doesn't get paid back it's literally a government handout. They will tax it but it won't be as much nor exceed the amount they gave everyone (maybe 10% of it back). Also in Canada you don't have to pay taxes unless you earn over $12k for the year (so as along as you don't take more then 6 of those payments you don't have to pay any of it back unless you worked). The government even gave a separate funding for Grade 12 and university students (regardless of whether they had a job/income or not). So a lot of those young girls flexing bags don't have to pay it back.

Some designers do - it’s well known that items are made in China, Turkey and Indian then shipped to Italy, Spain and France for finishes.

Thanks for the direction but I have googled it and I can’t find any concrete evidence at all of them being made in the same factories. Feel free to share if you do.

I love a site called Luxury Promise who does 2nd hand designer bags (everything from Hermes/Chanel to Louis Vuitton, Dior etc). Mostly it's just me swooning at their Instagram stories but I did get a lovely LV bag which had always been my dream.

Still my dream to save and go into LV to buy a bag new though which I may plan for this year

What I spotted straight away was the chain that runs along the bag is on the wrong side of the chain that goes up to the shoulder. On the real bag on the left it runs in front of the chain whereas on the bag on the right it sits behind

That's just because she has the chain at the front pulled up. You can pull up either side, they both go up so you can shorten it to fit over your shoulder as apposed to having length for crossbody.

Hey! I was totally contemplating the speedy 25 (but the bandouliere) but I never see anyone with a speedy anymore, I was worried they’re slowly going out! (No offence), but they are so so practical, so roomy... such a gorgeous bag! Do you have the damier ebene or monogram? I guess they will always be a classic!

Definitely get a bandouliere! I sold my old speedy 25 DE for a monogram bandouilere and I get so much more use out of it now. I don’t think they’re going out at all, if anything LV monogram is really popular atm! I also have a mini monogram speedy which I use more often now as I’m not commuting or going out as much

The C lock looks off but is this a screenshot from a video? The quilting is quite puffy but some of them are puffier than others especially in the newer bags which is why I don’t like them as it’s synonymous with looking fake.

Yep, I have a LV pochette metis and an LV scarf. My friends/cousins have bought LV neverfulls, LV/Chanel/Gucci wallets, Gucci soho disco, Gucci belts and random bits of Tiffany jewellery. The quality is fine, definitely depends how much you pay. There are sometimes discrepancies with stitching or the patterns but nothing that noticeable unless you really look at it! Postage is fine just takes ages.

I am really anal and look at ALL the reviews first and at the measurements listed to make sure it’s as close to the real thing as possible.

Not the case but thanks for suggesting I’m lying I had a Gucci Soho Disco for 4 months before the strap snapped off. They refused to fix it for free or exchange for a new bag so I had to pay for it to be fixed, not at the Gucci store I may add as they weren’t getting a penny more of my money.

Life lesson, don’t overfill your bag and the strap won’t snap

Your assumptions are hilarious. Personally I’ve never had mummy and daddy buy me anything, I’ve worked for whatever I’ve wanted. It’s not about snobbery at all and what’s quite funny on this thread is actually that those buying the fakes seem to think they are somehow better than those who buy genuine because they are getting ‘the same thing’ for less and we who buy genuine are the stupid ones because we pay more I don’t buy into latest trends, most of my bags I see as investments that will grow with me and last for years to come.

I didn't assume anything. I simply said 'I wonder' because of my personal experience knowing people this this. There has been some very snobby comments. I couldn't care less who buys fakes and who doesn't and neither should anyone else

It’s not a whole different topic though, is it? There are direct links between counterfeit designer goods, human trafficking and terrorism. It’s been said so many times on this thread and yet it’s a point either badly deflected or ignored.

Why do the defenders of fake bags keep trying to turn this into an issue of snobbery or jealousy from the posters who don’t approve of counterfeit goods? I’ll say it again - just admit you’d rather have a fake designer bag than worry about what crimes you might be funding with the money you paid for it.

I don’t have my “mummy and daddy” buying me anything but honestly, I would judge the people who’s parents bought them genuine designer goods far, far less than those who bought counterfeit goods knowing damn well that they’re helping to fund serious, violent crime.

It is, meaning it's a big huuuge topic which makes an interesting thread on it's own since it goes past designer bags.
I don't judge them either, I have been judged by those people for owning a Primark rather than a Prada though

Yes they are high quality reps not like the ones you find on holiday so you do have to pay to get the quality. Around £100-150.

I've been on /r/RepLadies quite a bit. I've never ordered from a trusted seller through any sort of chat, but I have ordered from Taobao through an agent - I use Basetao. It was really easy and both my parcels got through this year!

I've read a lot about people having trouble at customs and having to pay customs fees. Is that a common problem and something I should be worried about?

it’s not too different from tattle!!!! There’s just 10x the amount of information on there so very overwhelming if you’re new, you can search for topics (known as subreddits) and follow them like you’d watch a thread on tattle, inside the subreddit will be posts based on that topic so if you’ve followed the subreddit for a TV show for example there will be 100s of posts inside that subreddit discussing the tv show, normally people will ask questions like “what did you think of season 4” or “does anyone agree with (unpopular opinion” etc etc so similar to tattle but instead of there just being one thread about one topic eg. The Molly Mae thread where we all discuss anything and everything about her in the thread, there are loads of things inside one subreddit. So if it was a subreddit about Molly Mae there might be 100s of posts about different topics, asking opinions on her PLT range, discussing her love island season etc, but you can easily search for specific things inside the subreddit if you’re looking for a particular topic. People can like or dislike a comment so the top comment is normally the most popular one and comments aren’t shown in chronological order, meaning if there’s a comment that people don’t agree with it can be downvoted and taken off the post. Once someone’s posted a reply you can then reply to that post (very similar to how you quote someone’s post on tattle) and start a conversation with that person and others can join in, or you can just create a new comment which will be completely separate. Most subreddits will have rules and guidelines you need to follow (just like tattle) based on what you can and can’t post and how to use that particular subreddit, it will probably be pinned at the top of the post. The subreddits and have moderators etc like tattle, there’s so so so many subreddits on there but once you’re in one that you’re interested in it’s pretty easy to navigate!!! Hope this helps a little bit and hasn’t made it more complicated

but in terms of the replica subreddit I’ll agree that looks confusing to navigate as I’ve never used it to buy a bag but I’d suggest reading the FAQs and newbie guide (as I did earlier) to get a better idea of it instead of just reading the posts straight away

Good forbid all those times I’ve listened to music on YouTube that wasn’t uploaded by the artist but by a fan therefore illegal. I’m a right little sinner me.

I’ve never pleaded to be innocent so not sure where you’re making that up from. But I can happily say I’ve never carried a fake bag that could contribute to the above crimes

Yes there are some unethical links with replicas. Just like there’s unethical links with the Catholic Church, The UK government (Dolphin Square), Porn, ICE (USA), every single high street manufacturer AND designer goods... I’m not sure if people are aware that the factories for some are the identical factories to those in which the real thing are made. If you know any natives they can inform you through their news channels. This doesn’t even get me started on the pure financial corruption in China which is behind the majority of every product you use in your home.

follow the supply chain - if it’s not obvious- there’s China in there somewhere and there will be something unethical.
LV bags are made in different factories then shipped to US and France for final assembly to get the correct stamp. This is common knowledge, same with many other designers.

so I think it’s quite irrelevant to the conversation. Unless every single item of clothing anyone on the internet wears is also up for discussion.

And before someone comments. I only own authentic bags. Mainly because I didn’t know the high end replica world exists so easily and I’m lucky to have money.
