Trust me, I can spot a fake designer bag from across the road. There is no fake even in these magical kingdoms of Turkey and Dubai you speak of that would convince me a fake is as good as the real thing.
There's this girl I know who claims her Chanel bag is authentic but looks sus asf to me, my friend thinks its real tho... Mind sharing your expertise :D

Left is an authentic and right is her bag:

Thanks for the direction but I have googled it and I can’t find any concrete evidence at all of them being made in the same factories. Feel free to share if you do.
Google the supply chain! It’s easy to find. There’s a lot of referenced articles. You can also spend time going through annual accounts of certain designers

Can someone recommend me a nice bag? I’m currently carrying a LV alma BB, which is super cute and I love her, but it’s sometimes hard to carry bigger items with me like perfume or my sunglasses case and I have to sacrifice space!

so I’m looking for a larger bag (not too big), ideally with a cross body strap but I’m not too fussy! Authentic please 😂 I don’t have a specific budget, but something not too crazy expensive!

I don’t defend fake bags, I just know about the industry. I worked in the sector in the financial part. Factories using lines for fake items is a known issue.
Google is your friend
Not sure if this is relevant but thought this Youtube clip was worth adding:

48:05 Swiss Fashion Valley The big names in fashion choose Ticino. They come here in ever greater numbers and have a significant impact on the local economy. Our investigation into Europe and Ticino's Fashion Valley reveals that behind the scenes they use every trick in the book to boost profits, from tax loopholes to a system of subcontracting that delegates production to Chinese Italians working in unacceptable conditions. A disillusioned look at the big brands.

I'm one of those who isn't that bothered about designer names (nowadays it's easier than ever to buy mid-tier designer or High Street for decent prices, so, as long as I like what I'm wearing, I don't care what others think) but I do really like certain handbag styles that I just couldn't justify shelling out for (and I could if I saved up for a while).

The LV Monogram Neverfull is EVERYWHERE nowadays: poor quality fakes, knockoffs that don't even try...that's probably why I'm not so keen on LV. I must admit I like their Nautical Collection limited edition bags, though, and have been considering getting a rep - not to fool or impress, just because I like how it looks.

Though - wait - I'm contradicting myself as I just bought my partner a gunmetal grey GG emblem belt (copy, of course) - and THOSE BELTS are all over the place as well :sneaky:

you can buy any regular gold bracelet from the jewellers, from Etsy etc. Doesn’t have to be fake Cartier. Or if you really want a Cartier bracelet, there are some on the resell market you can look into that are more affordable
Thanks. I like the design of the Cartier ones specifically, just haven't got £4000 spare to drop on one. 😂

On the flip side, I find Dial M Style's videos interesting (she worked for Louis Vuitton as a sales associate (or client advisor) for around 2 years - and she pooh-poohs any suggestion that there are rejects for sale out in the wild or "other" factories making LV).

Sounds like the job was pretty stressful for her, too, as there were sales targets and the employee benefits / wages weren't as great as you might imagine. She says even on days off some were doing client outreach (to try and meet their targets, I'd guess).

Just an example of one of her videos:

Also a piece of Advice for all y'all who want a designer bag but can't afford it. There are a lot of designer brands that have sales (usually in May-July and again in December). I've seen some amazing deals for up to 50% off and these are on the official websites too. The brands I have seen having these sales include: YSL, Versace, Balenciaga, Balmain, Burberry and Ferragamo. Websites such as FarFetch, MyTheresa and Ssense also have sales with pretty good deals. Gucci and some other brands also have outlet stores with a decent % off on their bags. Just save up and buy 1 real good quality bag, shoes and jewellery, no need to buy/hoard a bunch of useless crap like a lot of influencers do (most use these fakes BTW).
Great advice but the thing is that they don’t want those brands, they want Chanel and Hermes which most people can’t afford anyway 😏

I use an app called Vova - has loads of replica bags, jewellery etc at a range of prices. There are reviews which is really handy to see what others think before you buy. Things might take about a month to come as most come from China I think. I’ve taken a screenshot so you can see what it looks like from the App Store because there are a few!!

I’ve used VOVA, I ordered some McQueens and they were exactly like the picture, I would recommend looking at items with lots of reviews, especially ones with pictures. It did take a LONG time to come but bear in mind with COVID etc, things take longer anyway.

Also look on eBay, I have a pair of balenciagas (paid £60) and a pair of yeezys (around £30), and to me they’re a very good fake, just look at feedback to see what’s been said

Definitely get a bandouliere! I sold my old speedy 25 DE for a monogram bandouilere and I get so much more use out of it now. I don’t think they’re going out at all, if anything LV monogram is really popular atm! I also have a mini monogram speedy which I use more often now as I’m not commuting or going out as much 😍
does the Patina brown after a while? Or leave rain marks? I’m so care free with my bags but don’t want to wreck them 😭

sounds so gorgeous though, I’m heavily considering it as my next purchase!!

:D Hello

Creating this thread from the discussion on the Molly Mae thread. Just looking for experiences from people who have used repladies on Reddit to find a good replica or similar websites. I have my eye on a few and I've read a lot of reviews but I thought I would start a discussion here for advice and to show off purchases. Also help on how to navigate Reddit as it is quite confusing to a newbie!
Does Molly mae buy fakes ?

Think I read this thread before or bits of it where maybe someone was seeing something but rather in actual fact it's really not illegal to exactly copy a designer item (not sure about if its just for you though like if were to make it yourself and keep it) it is however certainly illegal to copy something as near identical in the way it looks and the quality (maybe even better at times) and claim its from which ever when its not

I think I read someone saying you cant copyright an idea, you just cant but replicating trademarks without permission is yeah strictly against the law

There are though have heard about some people in those factories in the far east who will sneak out (sometimes I'd bet its even done by the factory owners as well) items that no one there is going to miss and sell it themselves which is what I have absolutely no problem with like continuation of something where the real company selling that said thing has stopped all production on it, but they continue to make them.

Have been at times I'll bet where they sell them over the phone and people go on the likes of ebay or where ever and sell them themselves for profit that I've got nothing against least it's bringing someone an income

See the thing about China (not being at all like racist or anything it just really truly is like this) the populations got a very intense like collective attitude if one factory starts making something or blatantly copying something then its highly unlikely others wont follow suit and you'll find loads of them on various sites all over the internet, its like the phrase the nail the sticks out gets hammered down is very much what its really like and where intellectual property law or copyright simply doesnt exist in China (or they may have laws but no one takes any notice of them) or another way of looking at copright in their regard is more like my right to copy something.

Also when businesses over in the west start up in China again specifically they must give up their way of doing things to the I think even CCP which is a nightmare I've heard of new startups going bust as a result of expanding outwards into China from other countries in the west as a result of it, even heard of legit items being sold on Amazon where these they're labelled by a particular channel called ADVpodcasts a sister one to ADVChina run by two people who've spent collectively together about 20 years at least in the country where they even proved this was the case where they find something that they could immitate (poorly I might add) then yeah copy that and make an inferior one then go and give poor reviews to the genuine thing they've copied so.... not saying it like with any connotation of any kind its just the truth of the situation

Though the latter isnt about designer items ie above, but its sort of though quite complex isn't that dissimilar, here's one example of those videos from those same two people
is quite a long one but... some may find this interesting, starts that example at least 33minutes into the video

Hi all. Just found this thread.. I've not purchased a bag but I have purchased a load of fake clothes and accessories from TaoBao after having a friend fill me in on how she manages to constantly have pricey clothes and accessories whilst not earning a massive salary lol..

The bits are all v good quality, process was fairly easy, basically copy and pasting the link to the item from taobao into superbuy (shipping agent) and then superbuy sends you photos of the item once it arrives in their China warehouse, you check the item meets your needs and then you tell them to ship it over. They declare the value of items as like $12 for customs purposes (have to pay import tax on anything above like $20 usd or something).

It arrived within a week-10 days ish, mostly decent stuff, even comes in original packaging etc. Most the stuff on TaoBao has reviews too similar to amazon so you can weed out the shit stuff. Learning how to reverse image search on tb is key too!!

Happy to answer any q's here or pm me!

Not sure why the top rated posts on here are all people on their high horse about a few people buying knock-offs. I know rich people and poor people who buy fakes, so often its not a case of 'you cant afford the real thing' I think they're having the last laugh because quite often these days the real designer items aren't worth anywhere close to what they charge for them!

And I know people like to talk about 'you don't know the factory conditions where they make these fakes' etc.. I hope you buy all locally sourced organic ethical fairtrade food and meat that isn't from a factory farm and trainers that weren't made by a child in India for 50p etc. There's likely just as much shadiness in the replica designer world as there is in any widely known low-end clothing manufacturing etc

X

Edit: in fact PM me if you have questions or wanna talk replicas lol.. I had a read of the rest of this thread and I think some people really have their backs up about others' choices to buy fake stuff so I won't be revisiting. People get v upset about a couple bracelets and some leather bags ffs. Relax x
Any chance you can revisit the FleurDeForce thread though? Seeing as you didn't spill the tea there...

Can someone help me decide between these colours pls
Yeah the blue colour is lovely

I am part of rep ladies and I got a Gucci soho which I use constantly as it’s perfect size and colour but I think it’s very obvious it’s fake.
also got a LV pochette metis and use it all the time in the summer and I love it and think it’s well Made and nobody ever notices it’s rep
Had a look on rep ladies, thanks for recommending. I have a mix of real and rep items, reps are mostly items I don’t think will age well / retain value. There’s minimal difference between some of them these days honestly, the work is spectacular if you can find good suppliers. I have the real Pravda Galleria Saffiano medium in black that’s real and the same in the nude that’s a rep and the quality of the hardware is really the only tell. I wasn’t sure how well nude would hold up using day to day, with denim etc, but I’ve only cleaned and conditioned a few times and it’s hardly needed it. If the rep was poorer quality I’d prob replace with the real one now but don’t feel the need to.
Anyone have any planned purchased atm?

Never again, it’s terrifying especially if they suddenly pull the shutters down cos they’ve spotted the police whilst you’re still in! 😱
The fakes are terrible, cheap nasty and the labelling is laughable, my friend bought a pair of kids Ugg slippers and when she took them out of the box the label was GGG 🤣🤣
Hahahaha! That's hilarious!! Yeah it's quite scary isn't it, they are harmless though. There's only a few I go to there, there are good ones you just have to find the right shops 😉 xx
