how old is woody ? I got 15 hours for one of my sons the term after 3,our household income is above average it’s people on lower incomes who get 30 hours form what I remember but everyone is entitled to 15 no matter the income x
isnt he 4 in in sept? he is definitely entitled to 15 free hours, so either oct or jan he could of started, nurseries never closed! but thinking of herself as always. I couldnt wait for my son to start, she started at 2.5 year and i paid for 6 months then when he turned 3 it was free and i upped his mornings to 4 a week, hes in reception now and thriving. she doesnt realise the benefits of sending him, its all good and well wanting to keep them at home but hes got no social skills whatsoever and she isnt doing anything remotely to stimulate him, shes a very selfish mother!!

What on earth is she going on about this morning?

"We've got this Mamas"
"Let's do this"
"Take one step at a time"
"I've been crying at the school gates"

The kids are going back to school with their friends, you're not sending them off to war. Honestly, get a grip you pathetic girl.

To add. I'm not saying that parents are pathetic to be nervous about their children going back (obviously in these times it's natural to worry) but these influencers are all over social media today wishing everyone luck and love and positive vibes 🤮 and I just think they're making such a fuss about nothing. It's the school run.

I can bet everything I own that the move to Spain won’t happen
Her children will suffer hard if she does. They have no social skills at all, can’t string a coherent sentence together, only eat beige food...
How will they make friends with children who possibly won’t speak English? There is no benefits system over there and she they will be asked to prove their income and also asked which skills they have to contribute their society.
I somehow doubt that selling face vibrators, teeth whitening kits & getting half naked for social media will pass.

You know why she’s crying?.... her babysitter has had to go to school. She’ll have to actually interact with Woody now.

Rebecca's concern/sadness is purely for show and definitely isn't genuine. If she was so concerned for her children's wellbeing both their educations would be a priority, getting the support either of them needs would be a priority, feeding them a healthy diet,, giving them proper beds, the list of her crap parenting is endless

It’s anyone who earns under £100,00 and both work

I don’t work just my husband and I got it it doesn’t matter what the income is for 15 hours.

I don’t think it’s selfish to not send a child to nursery before they start reception though, I haven’t always and my youngest son went for only three months in his life and he thrives at school as did my eldest with no nursery BUT I did make sure they went out everyday and experienced lots of things and seen different people and I loved not having to let them go anywhere until reception haha!! Which is something she didn’t seem to do pre covid x

She’s showing woody counting now he’s not even counting to 20 properly, my son is the same age and can count to over 100 and that’s all because he’s gone to nursery

see this I don’t really agree with my 3 year old son is delayed with his speech and has been in nursery since he was 7 months old as I’m a student, however nursery and the health visitor both have no concerns even though he’s just turned 3 and can’t count to 10. Then again he can do a 40 piece puzzle with no help so, all children are different and learn at different pace, these comparison comments can be damaging for parents who think their kids are behind because someone else’s can do more. Not excusing Rebecca as her kids sit in front of a TV for 10 hours a day.

nursery is amazing I’m always so impressed with the new stuff my son learns every day 💕 he doesn’t have to go as my husband “works from home” (he sold his business so just does a few consultancy jobs) but we send him so he gets the interaction with other kids.
Comparing him to my friends kid same age that has never been to nursery he’s much more confident. I’m not saying that will be the case for all kids but from my experience it’s been brilliant

To be honest, Nursery is a brilliant place to send kids prior to starting reception; however its more the social aspect of nursery and being able to socialise with other children rather than the academic aspect of nursery.

Both of my children attended nursery from about 6 months old, firstly due to me being a full time student, and then my second child started nursery as a baby because i went back to work as a social worker. My eldest is thriving and doing very well at school, however my youngest needs extra support and goes to a speech therapist. And i have seen it in my profession that going to nursery doesnt necessarily mean children are going to be more academic than those who didnt. However, from a social aspect i think nursery does help prepare children for school and i do think parents should be encouraged to send children to nursery, (just not purely for the academic aspect of it). :)

Her talking about her plans for Spain just makes it obvious they’re not genuine about it, so she wants to move to Spain say, next year, when Alfie is what, eight? nine years old? Ripping him away from everything he’s known, his friends, the familiarity of school, to place him in a Spanish speaking school... Bearing in mind neither parent speaks Spanish and Alfie has been said to have some delays. They say that for a young child learning a new language they need it to be reinforced at home and in play/at school if you want them to be fluent/confident - but the older the child is the tougher it can be.
So you’re telling me they, after a year of doing duck all homeschooling, will put the work in to help their kids reintegrate into a new area and speak a new language? Yeeeeahhh. Pull the other one. 😆 (and no, begs, Dora the explorer doesn’t count. HTH xxx)
