I agree with you 100%. If they are willing to go out with a knife (or other weapon), no amount of intervention will deter them. People shouting from the roof tops that our kids have nothing to do, and a lack of youth clubs are to blame is unfair. When I was at school, the odd youth club that was still open was rife with gangs just trying to deal or recruit others. I know people are desperate for solutions but sadly I think this is an epidemic that will never endI mentioned ages ago I was following the trial of Kennie Carter a 16 year old who was stabbed to death not far from where I used to work and that through my job I had encountered some of the accused.
4 were found guilty, 1 of murder and the other 3 of manslaughter. This is just a week or so after the sentencing of the teenagers who killed Nathaniel Shani about 5 miles away.

The BBC and Guardian covered the verdict but our local newspaper the Manchester Evening News hasn't reported the outcome although it did cover some of the trial.
It's so common for lads to carry knives and machetes (dealt with a lad one year who was picked up by the police after a fight in which he pulled a machete from his pants but claimed he "just found it") and so many of them feel they have to retaliate to stupid bleeping gossip and rumours or a crappy Tiktok drill song about each other. They rile each other up in their little groups (usually linked to a criminal gang somehow) and they cannot back down. I genuinely don't know how it can be tackled. They just don't care.
If youngs kids want to be or act like gangsters to be ‘cool’ then they will. No one will be able to stop them.
According to a comment and screenshot on that Twitter link, she and her husband are swingers and appeared on a C4 program about swingers.
That's how I see it aswell. I really hope they throw the book at her but there must be questions answered and how she got a job. Are there no background checks?

It happened in Ireland - Clodagh Hawe was murder by her husband (who went on to kill their young children) and people on social media and in the media were praising him, making excuses, being sympathetic etc. Some reports didn’t even mention Clodagh’s name! Women’s Aid Ireland got it right when they said ‘That is the ultimate level of control: to decide who lives or dies. It is the most extreme form of domestic abuse.’ Similar thing happened in Scotland - Marelle Sturrock. Though not as prevalent as Clodagh I saw on social media so many people praising him, going on about how ‘something must have pushed him over the edge’. Marelle was pregnant and killed with a hammer. How viscous can you get?
Jill Foster and her daughter were murdered by their husband/dad. His family let Kirstie and Jill be buried next to each other. On the Facebook group for Kirstie they make excuses for the dad and blame everyone but him.
It’s sad that I know of 3 examples of this off the top of my head.
That female prison officer should be arrested and jailed for that hairstyle alone.

Oh I don't want to get into a debate cause had it already on here but let's just say he goes to prison where he can skip medication and isn't monitored and then turns on another prisoner or staff member and they are in serious danger?

One officer even resigned after 15 years after seeing what he did. If he was in hospital in the first place then he couldn't do any of that. We don't know what those voices were telling him, I couldn't imagine hearing voices so extreme. I grew up in a small town and an old man was murdered by a guy who had mental health problems and whose voices didn't help. He went to Carstairs but he was originally in another mental hospital and was released.
It seems the normal career progression for Only Fans.

I think if there is anything to come out of this it demonstrates how desperate the prison service are for staff. A) she was off shagging and her colleagues presumably didn’t realise and b) whilst I’m sure she passed basic background checks like DBS you could argue that her stint on ch4 talking about swinging would make her an unsuitable candidate to have her first prison role at a notorious high category male prison, at the very least.

I’ve just watched a good TikTok from a social worker about this. In summary he thinks this kind of exposure makes people think that publicising and making money from private acts, filmed and posted online, adds to the idea that doing this sort of thing makes you popular, or liked, or gets you attention, and that it starts young. Children desperately want to be liked, after all. That’s basically what’s motivating the prison officer too- fame, attention, money.
People online are asking why she's getting slated for having sex but it's not about that, if you are in an open relationship, closed relationship or no relationship do whatever you and your partner are fine with. It doesn't bother me if she's in an open relationship - you do you BUT sleeping with a convicted criminal whilst working there is a severe misconduct and she should be punished. She doesn't give two shits about what she's done and that is disgusting too because she's not showing any morals to her children. Her own sister knew she was going to mix work and pleasure ffs.
If they knew she was on a programme about open relationships and sleeping with others surely they wouldn't have put her working with male prisoners. She's really irked me with her lack of tit given and nothing can defend her.

I saw an expression once that went along the lines of "so open-minded your brains have fallen out"... I think there's a lot of that now. Like people are trying to compete to be the most accepting of everything, no matter what it is or how harmful it could actually be in reality. A kind of backlash gone wrong in response to the sexual oppresion that, especially women, endured for so long?

I feel that in recent years people have been more liberated and it's out there more, it's like people are just not caring at all. It feels like you said that because years ago sex was in marriage only and now it's completely different. It's quite scary, when did just sleeping with one person when you're in a relationship with them become strange to people?
