I find the whole going away for every birthday so strange and sad. Fair enough if its a big birthday but even then the highlight of my day is me pretending to go back to sleep so my kids can come running in to wake me up and suprise me with their homemade cards and the little pressies they've chosen for me. My partner and I don't really do presents for each other, i would be mortified if he gave me a wad of cash....we'll have date nights instead but even then sometimes its a make shift picnic in the living room with the kids or a takeaway, but honestly I love it.
As much as she thinks we are Jealous Trolls, I do not envy her life atall & I am so secure in the fact I don't have to bribe (financially or emotionally) anyone yo be in my life. I really pity you Rach!

Joyce is very feminine he probably wanted a spa night.
