For those who don’t think Lula is autistic, how do you think autistic adults who have jobs, children, are married, travel, own a house etc feel when they read or hear comments like that?

My daughter is 26, owns a house, is a Mum, has a career and is autistic. I’d have been fuming when she was younger if people said she wasn’t autistic because she didn’t appear to be.

Girls especially hide it well, ignore what rach says, she hasn’t got a fucking clue but there are clear signs that Lula is autistic so if she gets diagnosed, I hope it means she will get any help she might need when she’s older.

She’s only independent because her Mother doesn’t give a shit!

My teen son is also autistic, he’s in a specialist school but is taking his GCSE’s.

I’m sure you must all know each person with autism is totally different from another.
Yep we have many varieties of the spectrum in our school including the academic differences and the independent living differences.

She tells to him with no warmth or emotion. More like some monkey or circus act she's coaxing. Such high pitched this is a stranger childmir something from Stranger Things.

I only dip in and out of this thread as it goes so fast so apologies if it has been discussed before. She has another book due out in a couple of months? I have read the reviews on her other two books and the 1* are spot on about her so I am guessing all the 5* reviews are from her pals? A couple of them made me chuckle. So how can somebody do a review so quickly after the books release? And can a review been done without a purchase?

Where I am the wait for TAMHS is 3 years....CAMHS is even longer.
Also, if parents get a private diagnosis, it still has to be accepted by paediatrics here, so there's no jumping the queue by being privately diagnosed. It's very widely known that private diagnosis' are not worth the paper they are written on as you can basically go in some places and ask for what you want. Not sure if it's the same elsewhere.

I actually feel sick
Yeah same here

Did someone recently say that Jane hadn't been seen for a while? If so you've got a bingo win.

These ads are getting worse for cuntfluencers. So many of them now on the same sell?same brand that it becomes even more obvious they are told what to say or include.
I don't no whats worse. The ones I thoguht are OK and then comes on " so I've been having this issu...,and today I just felt... but I found something that works *add in brand* and I thought I'd come show" 🤔
and so wipes everything put because they were, simply just doing an ad for the whole of their speel!
Or ones like Rach. Not inventive enoguh and so you switch from one influencer to the next all doing the same script. But it makes me laugh how they then still try to pretend it's some authentic "chat" not a instructed ad.

Rule of thumb - If parents make food an issue, food becomes an issue for kids. I had two fussy, one that would eat anything. If I had to make something individual for all three so be it. I'm not a cook in any way, I'm dismal at it 😂. So most of it is oven/ grilled food. All three grew up with exactly the same attitude toward food, i.e they eat what they want and exercise. I can't say fairer than that 🤷🏻‍♀️.
Exactly this. And it can go one way or another. Make meals a battle ground can have lasting effects.
Of course ypu have to do the best when you can. Try to give them proper grub when you can. I do think sitting down together was key for us.
But when ours had more agency and "adult" choice they went a bit "wahoo snacks " but b
Look at the state of that fake tan. She looks minging.
