She can do whatever she wants and if this makes her happy then fair enough
But I really cannot believe her landlord has even an inkling what she has really done to the place. She’s painted over the bloody sinks in the bathrooms and everything! She says she lived there 10+ years and has no motion of moving, yeah love I lived in my rent house over ten years then the landlord had to sell it up! It’s her life and her money but it’s gonna cost her thousands if she does have to move.
I wonder if she owned her own home if she would actually do all this?

She didn't even bother to prime it. Just so lazy with it as well. At least try to make a proper effort. Honestly the ugliest house I've ever seen.That child's desk could have actually been really nice with some decent restoration but it just looks like a child has thrown paint all over it

Can you imagine being the landlord when she hands the property back?
He’s wandering around the house looking dumbstruck. His head rotating as he scans the floors, walls and ceilings. He’s trying to take it all in. The penny is dropping. it’s not just a few stickers and chequered walls.

I follow a few maximalist pages and it can look really nice but hers... there's no theme to it, no colour scheme, she doesn't prep (bits of paint on ceiling). Honestly her living room reminds me of the after pics of a house fire.Well @Lucyxxxx, thank you so much for bringing me here. This subject matter and snarkery is bang up my street.
I'm not even going to hate on the maximalist stuff because some folk do it well. I don't mind a bit (or even a lot) of colour.
My beef here is twofold:
1) This is simply not a practical living space - it is plainly uncleanable. I saw she posted herself pushing a dirty mop back & forth on the kitchen floor. This hasn't changed my [correct] opinion of that. She's not scrubbing her lav or the paint would be coming off. No. It's all just too slapdash. Imagine how many pairs of tights and leggings and whatever get snagged on the SlumberPallets™️.
2) How can any landlord be OK with this??? They can't understand the full picture - she's spray painted the UPVC window frames!! That spraypaint isn't coming off the fenceposts - shit like that is forever! She can't even sell that stuff as "removable" or easily undone as you might be able to do with the kitchen floor or wall paint. As if they're getting their deposit back/ spending months using acetone & GooGone to remove the paint/duct tape residue.
Conclusion: landlord is planning to demolish when they leave.

Just looks so shit and awful doesn't it. Its your home where your kids live, perhaps I dunno make an effort? Trying so desperately hard not to be like "other girls" that she turned her house in to a drugs den. Probably lives there under squatters rights.

Why has nobody intervened? Thing is she could probably have spent less and made the place half decent. The little boys room is quiet cute and she did a Harry Potter mural for someone and I was shocked it was actually nice. Why not apply that to your own house?
