He says he and his sister share childhood photos to laugh at and this was the chance to take pictures for Preston or when he met a girlfriend or boyfriend.

I can't understand this comment, why would he say that about a naked photo he took off Preston? My partner has seen baby pictures off me and vice versa but never a naked one and I certainly wouldn't want to see a naked photo of him as a child.

I just want to make a point about circumstantial evidence. Most evidence in a trial will be circumstantial. Unless you have the defendant on film carrying out the act or eyewitnesses, all evidence is circumstantial.
So the pathologist report, the safeguarding expert, the bruises, the pictures and Preston's very distressing injuries are all circumstantial. Evidence around the crime. One piece of this evidence is unlikely to prove a murder but lots of circumstantial evidence is going to give the jury a very good idea of what happened.
The defence will question witnesses like the pathologist and a&e staff to try to introduce doubt in what they report. To make the jury think there is another explanation. In this case the two barristers for JV and JMF haven't had much to cross examine on or raise doubts. Those two expert witnesses were absolutely fantastic and adamant in their findings that the bruising was not accidental and was not caused by resuscitation. They aren't leaving reasonable doubt about what they identified

I'm sure a lot of people are already aware of the above but sometimes people think circumstantial evidence is questionable or lesser evidence.

For those question the social workers' actions and asking if there will be an enquiry: as Preston was a looked after child so there will be a serious case review which will happen after the trial concludes.
This was the review done for Cumbria after the murder of Leiland James Corkhill

So the foster parent is lying ( about Willy time) and now the Dr also ( about car seat)….
Any more, I bet it will be the pathologist next!
Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Which trials have we seen this before.

Also add the friend mistaken about their chat about intrusive thoughts - it wasn’t him, but his sister.

So Preston’s elbow was fractured on the night of 6-7 July and they took him to hospital on the 7th but still went out that night. Supposedly for the first time but earlier on he said his mum would have Preston on Wednesdays since May when it seems it wasn’t actually allowed?

I mean, this is nothing compared to everything else but another example of their complete disrespect to do what’s best for a vulnerable child who was trying to bond with them.

Even if rough handling caused injuries because of lack of knowledge as JV claims(spinning round on the roundabout or lifting him up by the arm and breaking it) rough handling didn't perforate his bowel, bruise his bladder or cause him to suffocate.
I am pretty sure the prosecution will rip JV to shreds and the jury won't be taken in by his act, either!

Murder also includes when you intended to cause serious harm and it resulted in death. It’s not just intention to kill.
That's what I thought but I wasn't sure if the prosecution were going for intentional or not.

They did also include manslaughter on the charges so the judge will likely direct them that if they find him not guilty of murder, they then must consider manslaughter next. (But if guilty of murder then manslaughter is no longer an option)

They definitely can. It surprised me when I had my baby boy, but it’s perfectly normal.
What isn’t normal is taking a photo of it ‘to show their future partner’
The sexualisation of a baby is another sickening part of their abuse.

I know it’s far from a matter to be laughed at- but Anne Geddes? I don’t recall any of her 90’s photoshoots in baths with naked babies. Or half conscious babies hanging from cot sides. And I certainly wouldn’t have had her calendar if she’d have been that way inclined.
Well the babies sort of look naked in some Geddes photos, but I havent seen a single Geddes photo showing babies genitalia, More top half of baby sitting in a cabbage with a leaf on their head, I thought a load of them were photoshopped, to deliberately focus on heads and feet, cutesy innocent photos!

Re baby training classes, I think a lot of new parents do still do things like NCT classes or attend classes arranged by health visitors, so I just think for 2 new adoptive parents, with very little experience of babies, a few extra classes would have been recommended!

‘Free willy time’ so he can ‘get to know his own body’?! Wtf?

That just sounds bleeping weird. He’s a baby, not a teenager. If he’d said so he can have some fresh air to his bum or whatever then fine. But he sounds like the bleeping p that he is saying that.

Is he seriously trying to say that Preston gave a cheeky wink after he'd broken his elbow?!
And that he'd slept all night afterwards and they only noticed the next morning?!
I broke my shoulder a few years ago and I'll never forget the pain, I didn't cry but if I were a baby, I would have!
I was pale, felt sick and couldn't get up off the floor for a good few minutes!
They are trying to make out that Preston didn't react at all!
I also don't like how he keeps using the word "cheeky" - to me it has flirtatious connotations, especially "cheeky wink", it doesn't sound right at all to me.
He also calls Preston a "right player", again just not right in relation to a baby.

Hes a murderer end of.... sticking your pen in a baby, sticking it in his mouth restricting his airways he knew what it would lead to eventually thats why he timed it probably getting along as he could out of it first. Spinning him on something to the point he passes out, leaving him in a bath unattended that alone he should be done for murder for you dont ever leave a child in a bath or paddling pool for any time. I would be very very surprised if jury dknt find him guilty of murder! The hanging over cot being blue in lips filming him not breathing hes a murderer... The absolute rat both of them.

I was literally coming here to say the “cheeky” tit is making me bleeping sick. “Cheeky baby noises” in his cot when he wouldn’t sleep. Sorry but my non sleepers would not sit in their cots being “cheeky” whatever that means, they would be upset and need me. When the neighbours heard constant screaming and crying were they “cheeky noises” from their “cheeky boy” 🤢🤢🤢
Stupid Temu Fabio Lanzoni bleep.
Also are they reporting that there’s a photo with the dog asleep on Preston’s head? Because he surely can’t sleep with his own legs on his head?

“He says after speaking with a family member he may know how the bruise happened but he was not there at the time.”

Eh?! Maybe it’s the reporting but I don’t know why he hasn’t then said what the explanation for the bruise was.

They also say he’s photographed asleep but partially sitting with his legs up. It doesn’t sound safe.
