I think the jury have asked about the baby/parenting classes so they know that if they try and put anything down to “we just didn’t know what was safe and what wasn’t” (like leaving a baby in a bath with some water for 14 minutes whilst you film them) then they don’t have that excuse.
It’s always good when these smug manipulative psychos do this bit, where they can just regurgitate things like “I just got carried away” (spinning a child forcibly for 25minutes whilst their eyes roll back and forcing them open) and then the prosecution comes in and asks the hard stuff and it all unravels. I don’t know about you, but if my baby had nappy rash or otherwise sore looking skin, I wouldn’t need to take a photo to document whether it was getting better or worse, because I have eyes and I’d know.

At the appeal the judge handed the child now about 7 years old back to the parents.
The grandfather shouted at the judge she would have blood on her hands.
Sadly this proved to be true and still this POS was still claiming innocence
I see so many similarities in their personalities.

Yes if you listen to the long police interview, they’re obviously bleeping out the damage to his actual mole. He had tears and damage internally but the docs describe abnormality and I think that’s there too. I find it difficult to even type out

I think a lot is actually not being explained properly, it's probably much much worse than we even know. It's probably extremely obvious from the images what was happening. Sometimes they're even saying things like "dribble" coming from Prestons mouth but it sounds like the prosecution don't believe it's dribble and it's actually sperm
When Mick Philpott did his press conference the day after murdering his poor children, he was waxing lyrical about how marvellous everyone had been & how he couldn’t thank them enough. It was totally inappropriate behaviour in the circumstances & it stood out to me as highly manipulative. For a moment he appeared to be almost relishing his importance. I had a similar instinctive response to this comment.
I've also been thinking about Preston's gran not getting custody. Besides her being unwell, I would assume there might be some issues in regards to her parenting after her own daughter's crimes. As that was very extreme offending for one so young.

Social services made the decision not to place Preston with his maternal grandmother (even though she'd asked to keep him) as she was undergoing cancer treatment.
I know this is a gossip site, but casting aspersions on the birth grandmother’s parenting ability is very wrong.
I’m not going to out myself, by saying how I know the family, other than I have previously known the birth mother in a professional capacity, but I do know that Preston was an extremely loved and wanted child, by both his birth mother and his whole birth family.
The only importance is that these two monsters are held accountable and fully punished for what they did to this baby.
I’m a seasoned professional working in the criminal justice system and I’ve been involved with some high profile offenders, so I’m fairly immune to depravity, but this is, by far, one of the most stomach churning, abhorrent crimes I’ve ever read about.

But crimes committed by his mother would have had an impact on social services making decisions on kinship care etc. Deciding that Preston would be safer with a middle class couple than his own family. Decisions that eventually led to his tragic death.

His mum was there daily but oblivious to the abuse that was going on?? Didn't notice a change in Prestons behaviour such as being more tearful/withdrawn/subdued/lethargic, frozen watchfulness. She didn't notice he had a sore bottom/bruising and a bite mark when/if changing his nappy or bathing or dressing him. She didn't notice the frequent bruises, Prestins change in behaviour towards JV such as not wanting to go with him, appearing frightened or scared of JV. She's just as much to blame in all this and could've/should've done more!
This thread has nothing to do with judging his birth mother. I don't disagree with what you suggest, this is not the place for that type opinion, it has zero to do with what happened.
Preston was taken from his birth mother because she couldn’t stay away from drugs and took them while pregnant…. She clearly didn’t love and want him enough to stop the drugs.
