I’m only 8 weeks but my god I feel like I am dying. My first trimester with my first child was a breeze and now I am questioning all my life decisions. Just want to lie in a dark room with no responsibilities but unfortunately that’s not possible :ROFLMAO: Wish my child would get comfy to watch a movie but we’re not there yet!
8 & 9 weeks with this pregnancy was my worst . The absolute pits ! Sending love , it’s rough but you’ll get there 🩷

Coming up on 11 weeks and I feel like I’m on an emotional rollercoaster. My skin has been so bad, I feel nauseous all the time, my moods are quite frankly the worst. I had very smooth sailing previous pregnancies and felt great/had the glow but this is so different. This baby was planned and very much wanted (our third, my husband and I were extremely lucky to be successful on our first proper time trying) but now I’m having terrible feelings of doubt and guilt. I’ve got my booking appointment on Tuesday, and I’m hoping once I’ve had the first scan I’ll be able to get a grip as it’ll feel real then. I’ve just been so tearful this week and then I feel guilty for feeling like that. 😣

I found the first trimester really hard . This is also our third and I can relate to your feelings of doubt and guilt . I was guilty for being tired and sick , worried that I’d done the wrong thing and our lovely family dynamic would be ruined . I am increasingly anxious at now 23 weeks but less so about those things now . Having the scans has really helped and now I’m feeling baby move a lot I feel really bonded and like they’re meant to be in our family

Hopefully things start to look up for you soon . And never feel guilty , you can be grateful to be pregnant and also hate things about being pregnant simultaneously. Remember that

I distinctly remember at 9 weeks pregnant being ready to go on maternity leave, and it was February so no heatwave to contend with!

Ladies, recommendations for maternity jeans please? In my last pregnancy (2023/24) I had a pair from H&M and a couple of pairs from New Look but my bump was so huge (thanks to polyhydramnios) that the seam where the over-bump elastic met the jeans ripped on all of them, so I need some new ones for this pregnancy. No idea where to start looking as shops don't seem to have maternity wear in-store any more! If it helps I'm 5ft 7, size 8. I've only just found out I'm expecting again so I have time to hunt 😂

28 weeks now, baby moving lots. Work are pressuring me to go on Mat Leave now because they’ve run out of work for me to do, I’m holding my ground but it’s painful and so annoying! No I don’t want to go on maternity leave 11 weeks early!

I feel like this but I’m also thinking I’m going to be heavily pregnant at Christmas and that’s not going to be fun with a 3 year old 😂

I'm the same height as you and struggled finding any long enough, but Next do them in different lengths and I found the long was good for me. I got some under bump, wide leg ones which did me from early second trimester and probably would have been fine til the end of pregnancy but I stopped wearing them because of the heat!

Hold your ground !!! That’s awful !!

I’m hanging on until the bitter end with my job . Well I think actually I’ll go off around 38 weeks . I honestly can’t wait for it though . This week has been stressful and I’m glad it’s Friday !

It got better/I somehow learned to live with it, I dunno which way round it was hahaha! My son was born last year, it wasn’t so heatwave-ey but I do remember a tough couple of days!

21 weeks today after having my emergency stitch at 16+6. Feel so close yet so far but trying not to let the anxiety take over. Don’t even know if I’ll get to 24 weeks never mind further.
Everything crossed 🤞

I am miserable in this heat 😭 no position is comfortable & I feel like I’m in a hair dryer. I would like to go into a walk in freezer just to take deep breaths 😭 2 more weeks to go. The hospital I’m giving birth in only lets you go to 40+5 before you need to be booked in for an induction… which makes me feel slightly relieved I won’t have another 4 weeks of this 😭

I just want to meet my baby n breathe properly again 🥲
Also looking forward to no longer having back/hip pain. I can’t seem to shift this grumpiness 🫣

Has anyone stocked their freezer with home cooked meals ahead of baby’s arrival ? If so , what did you make ?

I had all the intentions to do it with my other babies but never got around to it. But with this being our third , and our baby being born in November right into the Christmas period , I feel like I want to get organised . So we’re eating our way through the freezer this summer to make space and then from September I’ll probably spend some Saturdays batch cooking.

I have ideas for dinners like mac and cheese , curry , spag bol , etc but I also think prepping lunches (I’m thinking veg packed soups and sausage rolls) could be helpful as my toxic trait is that if food isn’t easy or accessible to me when I’m stressed (or trapped under a newborn) I simply won’t eat 🤪

What was the best thing you prepped and had in the freezer ?

I didn’t prep anything with my first but I saw a post on TikTok the other day where she prepped ham and cheese croissants and I thought that was genius! Stick them in the air fryer and you’ve got a very easy snack or meal to eat.

As first time parents who got the shock of our lives with a teeny Velcro baby, everything I prepped that could be eaten one handed whilst we held the baby was ideal. I remember my husband getting all fancy and making fajitas and I was like ‘how am I supposed to eat these?!’ But you’ll be a pro at this point haha.

On my final week of work this week which doe not even feel real !!
I've booked 2 weeks of annual leave as they wouldn't let me carry over so much of my leave to the end of my maternity, so I've booked up until my due date - currently 37 + 2, so I'll be 38 (ish) weeks when I finish and it's gone so bloody quick!

I've not started drinking any raspberry leaf tea or doing any specific things to encourage labour ... am I being silly?
