Baby girl arrived this evening at 41+5, contractions started on their own within the 24 hours. Left for the hospital when they were 7/8 minutes apart, by the time we got to the ward they were 4 minutes apart and had no time for an epidural so completely unmedicated birth 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 everything aches and she doesn’t have a name yet but she’s beautiful and managed to breastfeed her, which I wasn’t able to do with my first 🩷

Update : I gave birth! 🩷

The induction was positive, went straight to water breaking and then as soon as I started the drip I went 3-10cm in 2 hours and it was too late for the epidural 😬 I thought “well ok I guess we’re doing this on gas and air then, here we go 😅

@ReginaPhalange3 I last minute ordered the Birth comb and my goodness did it come in handy. It was so intense that I gripped it to a point where it looks like I put my hand on a barbecue 😂 thanks for the recommendation.

Ours looks to be very small. More than likely he will be delivered this week, 10 weeks early but o think safer for him to be out rather than in
Quoting myself as baby is here.
emergency section this afternoon, baby is in neonatal unit and doing so well 🥰

Just letting you all know BabyA has arrived - little boy (I say little, he is 8lb10 - we did not expect this and none of his clothes are going to fit!)

Hope you are all doing well in here too ❤❤

Found out today I've had another missed miscarriage. Thought I was 10w5d but scan said 5w6d and no way my dates are that far out. Self-referred to EPU who said they can't offer any intervention until I have another scan in a week. Way to make a traumatic experience more traumatic. I've felt sick the whole way through so had assumed/hoped everything was fine, lost all trust in my body.

Well I am relieved … we had a private scan today (7+4) … baby is in the right place , there’s only one (thank god .. this is our third) and we got to see a little heartbeat !!!

at the moment I’m measuring 7+2 which makes a lot of sense as I ovulated around day 16 of my cycle . But they did say baby could catch up . It’s only 2 days off LMP anyway so not a huge deal .

i am so relieved and thrilled !!!

Twinnies arrived safely yesterday via a disastrous elective C-section. A debrief is required to see what went so wrong. Twinnies are thriving at 4lbs9oz and 4lbs6oz - that's all that matters!

My scan was not good news unfortunately, an ectopic pregnancy. Will have to wait on blood results to see what they want to do from here apparently. Really unexpected as I can’t say I’ve had any symptoms pointing towards it 💔

I’m just really hoping my levels are low enough that they don’t want me to go back to hospital. 🤞😭 I didn’t want to sit around up there today and wait for my results, and as I don’t have any pain or symptoms I think it was fine to just go home. Hoping I don’t need any sort of management. 😭

Anyway I’ll dip out of this thread now and hopefully in 4+ months time or more we can come back 😭

Wishing all the best for everyone with their pregnancies xx

Long time no speak, hope everyone is doing well!

I see we've had a baby born!!!!🤍 And some new names around here!!

Me and the girlies have made it to 34+5 and it's all starting to go tits up. Baby B is measuring 20% behind A all of a sudden, so could be a growth restriction going on. Her femur is measuring like 30 weeks as opposed to 34 weeks. I think the sonographer is shit though. She never sounds confident. Scans have been sent to a fetal medicine specialist for review so awaiting a phone call. Placentas and fluid are being chcked twice a week now and growth scan every week. Got to have an iron infusion on Monday too as apparently they don't know how I'm functioning my iron is so low. 🤣

Got kept in yesterday due to high BP. Not bloody surprised after they told me we need to be referred to a fetal medicine specialist. CTG showed babies going crazy which was lovely to see as I don't feel them that much due to anterior placentas covering most of the front/sides.

Section is booked for 37+2 but it's likely now that'll be brought forward. Baby A is estimated 5lbs currently and Baby B is around 4lbs. Obviously it's never accurate, but hopefully if they need to come out sooner they're good weights currently...🤞🏼

Still spiralling about a section. Worried so much about how long and painful recovery will be along with them getting the spinal in me in the first place. I'm told bcus it's my first it shouldn't be too long or painful 😖 babies are head down now and if it wasn't for the prospect of potentially have a vaginal recovery and a section recovery at the same time, I'd be opting for vaginal all day long. Rip me open and stitch me up bcus at least it ain't 7 layers of tissue/skin/organ.

Also, what is it with men avoiding the jobs that need doing? Asked husband to build the cots with me about 6 weeks ago. Kept asking. Never got done, so did it myself. Still haven't built the next to me, or the moses baskets. The room is still a shit tip and he needs to help move some stuff around. Not sure when he's going to get the hint that these babies could be pulled out any day!!! Maybe he's in denial.

Anyway, that's my update. Enough from me.

I’ve been popping in and out of this thread for a while now but haven’t posted as didn’t want to jinx myself!! However I can finally shout it from the rooftops that I am pregnant! 12 weeks and 3 days 🥰.
I had my first scan today and honestly I have never ever felt as anxious as I have the last few weeks waiting for today.

I haven’t had any huge symptoms no morning sickness etc so apart of me felt like I’d made it up in my head, I had also suffered a early miscarriage before so I was convinced something would be wrong.

Thankfully little bean was wiggling around as clear as day and all is well.

I am over the moon and have been waiting for this moment for such a long time I’m 37 and been TTC for a good 3 years.

Now debating whether to have an early gender scan at 16 weeks. Anybody else done this and was it all ok? X

Had my 20 week scan, all looking great but they couldn't see baby's heart as she was on her tummy lol. I saw her flip over on the scan, so I have to go back in 2-3 weeks for a rescan.
I can't actually believe that after so many losses I'm going to have a baby. It's unreal. 🫶🏻🌈

4 times in the last week I’ve woken up at around 3 or 4am with period cramps, back pain and extreme hunger (lol) which then goes away after I’ve eaten something and gone back to sleep. Lost my mucus plug about 6 times now.

If baby girl can just stay in until I turn 37 weeks Friday, I’ve got a new fridge coming tomorrow and our car needs an MOT Thursday 😂
Wellll this has aged like milk as I think I’m in early (very early) labour 🙃

Fridge is here though so IDGAF.

Hoping this works as I’ve done it on my phone and don’t know if the link is right - but we shall see! New thread to discuss our love of omeprazole, how men could never hack pregnancy and how in the first trimester everything smells like the worst thing in the world…❤

Had my 20 week scan today. The relief seeing the wee heart beat was so magical 🫶🏼

I am really struggling with the body changes though. My bump doesn’t look like what I had always pictured. Pre-pregnancy I had a 5 year weight loss journey to get to my ‘heathly’ weight and lost over 7 stone. It’s really messing with my head how much my body is changing (I know it’s for the most amazing reason and I am really grateful it’s finally happened) does anyone have any tips?
