For anyone wanting a good laxative ….try this. You can get it at the pharmacy and it’s safe for pregnant women. It works a dream. Nothing else helped me apart from this.

Now I’m 36 weeks and even on iron tablets I’m having the opposite problem 😩🫣
This image made me shudder as that’s what they gave me to help my first few postpartum poos be a bit softer after my c-section. 💀

Im thinking im a nerd because I got a hand me down moses and just sew some sheets for it.
No I LOVE that! I just know I can’t take on any more projects no matter what intrusive thoughts come into my head (I have half a knitted baby jumper and big plans to make my first ever quilt for the baby but… I haven’t even cut the fabric yet…) The Moses basket is at least 70 years old and the mattress may be slightly younger but it’s definitely more than 40 years because I was in it! So, I’m in the market for new stuff. Did you make a fitted sheet? I’d love to tackle that at some point…

Omg, it's lovely it's a moses with so much history.the oval fitted sheet is a pretty easy project. Just put the mattress on the fabric, marked like 10 cm bigger all around it on fabric, make a casing all around for elastic, thread elastic through and done. I actually cut down 4 from a lonely queen size bottom sheet (how this showed up in my home is a mistery, I suspect is from onw of my SILs)

Parking myself here , hopefully will be staying here after a loss. My gp sent a referral to the early pregnancy unit as I've had a loss but it's not until 9 weeks. I don't think I'll be able to cope for another month

I'm 39 weeks and feel like I am analysing every symptom I have now 😂 if it could be a sign labour will start soon. Wishful thinking!
The amount of lightning crotch I've been getting is insane though so uncomfortable!

My sinuses have reverted back to their first trimester state of being blocked, snotty and blood-streaked, although slightly less so than the first trimester. As long as the extreme tiredness doesn’t come back I’ll be ok! Can’t lie, I am tired though, but it’s from having to move my massive body about 🤣 first trimester I was just tired, the most tired I’ve ever felt!

I’m exhausted and so big! I keep waking up at 3/4am and not being able to go back to sleep.

I was a 3am gal the other morning! Ended up having a bath before 5am as sleep wasn’t happening. Don’t even think I was fit to drive to work but we lived to tell the tale! I am wide awake by 5am now, which my cat LOVES.

Wow that’s amazing.
I’m 36 weeks, consultant led throughout and desperate to know my date 😭 I’m so impatient!
Yes I totally get that! I was told I’d get it initially at a 32week consultant appt (although they didn’t book one in until week 36..) then I had a telephone appt with the consultant around 18/19 weeks and got the date via email about 20 mins after. I’m not sure if it was an error to be honest 🤪
Maybe give them a call and say you need to sort childcare/pet sitters/your birth partners time off and it’s making you stressed not knowing and they might get a wiggle on 🤞🏼

Yes this is exactly what I heard - I can’t imagine having to recover from both a c-section and vaginal delivery!

So I’ve done a little bit of research but still keep getting stuck on whether we want an in-line or side by side pram. I think side by side is cuter but in-line more practical. I also don’t want one that is too heavy! I have been recommended the duet buggy from mountainbuggy by a couple of twin parents.

We’re going to the shops tomorrow to take a look at prams and beds (again - not sure we want them to be in the same one at the start or if we should just get two).

Oh! Good luck with trying to get your money back - if you booked with a credit card you could try contacting your credit card company or if you have travel insurance?

Interested to know how your pram shopping went!! We had a quick look at the weekend and have decided the Bugaboo donkey 5 twin is going to be best for us. It doesn't fold down very compact, but considering we've got a 3-year old already, finding a car that fits 3 ISOFIX is a nightmare, so we're going to be buying a van hence why compact fold won't be a problem for us!!

We have a snuzpod from our first still, so we're going to put them both in that to begin with and then I think I'm just going to put their big cot in our room and keep them both together until they get fed up of each other 🤣 I did think about buying another snuzpod, but I don't know how the separation will affect them. It's so difficult thinking about all of this!

Disney is easy to cancel and get our money back as it's free to cancel, etc. I've sent an Easyjet medical form to my midwife to see if she can get it filled out by my consultant and then Easyjet will hopefully give us our money back. If not, we did luckily book on our credit card, so we can hopefully get something back!!

My snotty nose is driving me maaaaad. I seem to be okay in the day, but as soon as 6pm hits - blocked and snotty. No relief all night until about 11am. Also, did anyone have really bad heartburn during the night at around 9 weeks? It's woke me up twice this weekend; it's been horrific. My first pregnancy was an absolute breeze, but this one is kicking my ass already.

Have you heard of a multimac - it’s like an adaptable car seat for 3 or 4 children

I’m still none the wiser in regards to prams. Had a go of the Doona over the weekend and while it’s a nippy little fecker which I like, my 6 foot 5 partner looks utterly ridiculous pushing it and I don’t look the finest pushing it either. Why is it so dinky?!? It’s what I’m after in terms of being practical, nifty and handy.. but a bit too daft looking and baby is all the way down there which I don’t like. Basically I’m looking for something like that but not that 😆 I’m not too bothered about having a system that converts into a pushchair as I plan on getting a pushchair separately when the time comes. I just need something nippy to run around with, light on the ground and small enough wheels; why is this so hard? Why does everything have forty different contraptions and cost 5 million euros? I don’t need something to do me to see the child off to college in like! Just something handy for the newborn walks that doesn’t weigh a tonne. I’m stumped.

Have you looked at the babyzen yoyo? Expenny though, but might be what you're after! They do a newborn nest or cocoon or something that fits into the pram. I had a Doona for first baby and loved it, but it was heavy!
