Sorry for the silence! My baby boy was born on Wednesday afternoon, after a failed induction led to a c section ☺ not how I planned it, but things don’t always go to plan! I am in newborn heaven right now, it’s tough work but the cuddles make everything so so worth it ❤

Baby weighed 9.3lbs at birth so maybe it’s a good thing I had a c section in the end! 🫣 he was measuring 8.6lbs on his 36 week scan, so I’d say it was roughly accurate!

thank you ladies for all the incredible advice and company you have given me over the last 9 months…I might hang out here for a while because I just love all things pregnancy 😆❤

Had a very early scan at EPU today following multiple miscarriages.... we saw a flicker of a heartbeat. 😭 Cried my little heart out. Little froglet is measuring 6w4d. Got another scan at 8 weeks privately and then we'll just have to wait for the 12 week scan! Feeling so much more reassured.

Baby ShinyThings arrived late Friday night at home when we had the huge thunderstorm in the South East. Eerily, body was born as there was an almighty thunderclap that set off loads of car alarms. Hopefully not some sort of omen! Birth was lovely and straightforward and no complications after.

Turns out the girl I was having. Would have bet my house on it. Was absolutely convinced I was having was a boy! Goes to show Mum's instinct isn't always right.

I'm going to hang out here for a bit as you've all been such a huge support and want to see the babies born to others here!

Baby arrived this morning! Started contractions at 1.30am. Called my maternity assessment centre at 7am to find out they were full and the other nearby one full too! Ended up arriving at another hospital fully dilated and sent to delivery 🫠

Baby rock is here. Head too big so natural delivery failed, csection it was. Apparently I developed pre eclampsia at some point this last 2 weeks.

Sorry for the huge delay 😂 Baby Koala arrived spontaneously (induction was booked for this day but labour started overnight so avoided!) 1st July, after quite a traumatic delivery- weighing 9 ibs 3 oz! Actual delivery time was 10 minutes 😭 he had to spend some time in the NICU but luckily we are all home now. ❤ my own recovery will probably take a bit longer but I’m just so happy he is here safe.

Sorry but that’s a bit shit of your OH. He’s meant to be your advocate. But at least it’s been resolved for now and I think just put a pin in and focus on your indication and manifest a wonderful labour for you and little one ❤
My OH is more of a pushover than I am, he would have given in to her if she demanded hard enough! But I’m not letting her ruin my postpartum experience. She’ll just have to wait till I’m ready 👋🏼

we’re in the hospital now for our induction! I’m so so nervous and excited 🥹 I wish I bought something to keep me occupied, I’m just playing games on my phone 🤣

20 week scan shortly. Aside from obviously hoping all is well I do hope Baby cooperates and lets us see their gender because I am nosey and if they don't behave I'll have to pay £80 for a private gender scan cos I wanna know! I think with no reason boy, but as I've said before this could be because our cat is a boy so I automatically refer to Bab as "he" like he is the cat.
My women's intuition was correct!!!

Long time wishful lurker, just popping in to introduce myself, I've just graduated from the TTC thread and I am so excited! I am currently 4 weeks and 5 days (literally found out at 3 weeks 3 days so I feel like its been an eternity already 😂 My partner and I had been TTC for 9 months with one chemical in May so we are cautiously excited at the moment! We've got an early scan booked for 7 weeks 4 days which I am filled with anxiety for but it won't be long before coming around! Hoping to spend a lot of time here over the coming months 💜💜

Went to triage Wednesday evening for reduced movements and wasn't sure if my waters were potentially starting to leak or I'd just been slightly weeing myself. Turns out it was my waters which had been leaking since at least Tuesday so due to infection risk and being 3 days overdue was induced. The gel pessary caused me to hyper stimulate, had oxytocin, then opted for epidural (which honestly turned out to be the best decision) and ultimately ended up in a c section.
Honestly by that point I just wanted baby girl to be out and safe, which thankfully she is! So my plan a birth plan went totally out the window and it was a whirlwind 24 hours but truly it was all worth it and we are happy in our little newborn bubble!

Parking myself here , hopefully will be staying here after a loss. My gp sent a referral to the early pregnancy unit as I've had a loss but it's not until 9 weeks. I don't think I'll be able to cope for another month

Cautiously dipping my toe in this thread at just over 4w to say hello and to see if anyone else has just found out they're pregnant! Having had previous mc's and cp's I don't want to tempt fate, but all seems well so far.

Baby boy born today by section.

He weighs 7 lbs 2 oz, he is absolutely perfect and looks identical to his big brother.

We didn’t know the gender prior to the birth but had convinced ourselves it was a girl. I am not sure why we did this because we were happy with either gender. But it means we came unprepared with a boy name. We’ve spent the last 7 hours online and come up with one with meaning and we think suits him. I would never recommend this approach 😂🤣 although I think it’s made us even closer as parents as we really worked as a team ❤🥰

So, my missing fluids are a bit of a mystery but I was well looked after today by everyone. Boy Wonder’s bladder and kidneys looked fine on the scan which is one apparent cause. My BP and urine remains tip top with 0 signs of pre-eclampsia which can be another cause. I had a quick internal examination and there was no evidence my waters have leaked that they could see, so, all in all it’s a bit head scratchy. The Boy was monitored on the CTG (I actually got myself in a tizzy on Thursday/Friday about his movements seeming different so went on the CTG at my local unit and he had been fine then) and he was once again fine. Scan was otherwise fine, he’s average for all measurements and nothing else was remotely of concern. So I’m being squeezed back in on Monday for another scan and back to Triage so I can see the obstetrician again as nobody can fit me in on a routine appointment diary at short notice. Low fluid, according to the obstetrician today, means an ECV is less likely to work and he is stubbornly breech according to the sonographer (she also said he looked ‘extremely cosy in there’). And if I lose more fluid they may be inclined to get him out even sooner, the obstetrician said it’s low but ‘not too low’ at the moment.

But, apparently getting a date for a c-section is a nightmare so I have a provisional date for 12th Sept 😳 I’m supposed to be working till the 5th. I thought I’d get a week and a half of pottering around to myself but perhaps not! I wanted to deliver naturally but I’m not going to be stubborn about it and I don’t fancy him getting stuck. I want him and I to be safe!

Kind of glad the ultrasound department didn’t pick up the phone yesterday! I did spend a long time in the hospital but I’m super grateful for the care. Even got a sandwich!

Hellooo, I'm cautiously joining the ranks here from the lovely TTC ladies. Very early (be six weeks on Wednesday) but I need to speak into the ether about it 🥹

Now that I’ve had chance to process the birth just wanted to share a tip! Having (unintentionally ) got to fully dilated without pain relief, the Freya app was bloody amazing. It times your contractions and tells you when you’re in established labour (if it’s not your first rodeo get to the hospital quick! These babies can come fast!) and most importantly it coaches you through your breathing. I never ever thought I could labour to 10cm with just breathing. Honestly worth every penny.
