Anyone used the Sneak Peek Gender Test? An at home collection blood test. I’m in two minds. I’m ultra curious but is this a science step too far?
I’ve seen quite a few false results, if you wouldn’t be upset if it’s turns out wrong then I’d say go for it but if the gender matters to you then don’t x

Good point! I don’t think it matters, my preference is a healthy bubba! But if the test got it wrong and we had picked a full name and everything that could be a bit awkward!

Of course, healthy baby is always no1! I would have definitely been upset (3 boys and stepson already here) 🙈 so gave it a miss!
maybe give it a go for fun but don’t get too dead set on the result just in case. I have seen plenty of accurate results as well x

To be fair I probably do have a leaning preference but the overriding want is a healthy happy child. I think at 40 this is potentially my one and only chance so I’m going to just embrace being a mama whether that is to a boy or a girl or a child who changes gender later on in life! My head is telling me it’s the other sex to my slight preference but I have zero idea why!

Hello everyone, I had Botox done a few days ago and just found out I’m 6 weeks pregnant. Has anyone else had Botox in early pregnancy. Obviously there’s nothing I can do now. There isn’t much info on it, just that it isn’t advised because there haven’t been studies done on pregnant women, but also a lot of people say because it’s localised it’s fine.

Looking for personal experiences. Thank you xxx
I had an appt booked just after I found out I was pregnant. General consensus is it would have been fine, risk is very low. I cancelled so no direct experience but from what I remember I think you and baby will be fine.

Got my maternity exemption form at booking in appointment. I’d chase it up if you’ve not got it!

Has anyone been told that their baby is measuring small? If so, what happened in terms of an action plan for delivery?

I’ve just had a midwife appointment and baby is measuring significantly below the 9th centile so I’m being sent for a growth scan. She did seem to think he was in a bit of an awkward position so that could influence it, so I guess the scan could say different.

My first baby was off the charts the other way so I have no idea what to expect!

I don’t think there are any risks if pregnant and using Botox. The reason they tell you not to is because there is no ethical research on it.
I wouldn’t be at all worried

Went for an early scan yesterday as the anxiety is killing me. Measuring 5+5 so very early but we saw the heartbeat which was incredible to see so early on. Fingers crossed!

My 1st measured small all the way through but followed the 9th/10th centile line (I had GAP scans every 3-4 weeks from 20w!) as he was not dropping centile they let me go full term however I was induced at 40+1 as my waters went and I had no clue. He was 6lb2oz. I never saw a consultant or anyone apart from the sonographer & community midwife.

I’m 33w with my 2nd and she’s been measuring small as well however was not even on the chart, then jumped to the 3rd centile at 24w and I’ve had growth scans every 2 weeks with fetal medicine and she’s gradually followed up just below the 10th centile however the consultant recommended I am induced at 38w as a precaution. So both small babies but different care for both, I see the consultant after each scan and he reviews the growth and development of risks, it’s very much a waiting game!

Went for a scan today. All is looking good. Sonographer said it's the most active baby he's seen for a very long time. I know active is good but it got me thinking afterwards is VERY active and indicator of anything bad?

All 4 of mine have measured small, had growth scans etc yet the first 2 were both 7lb 11 and 3rd (who was plotting smallest) was 8lb 6! None of them small at all, I’m 31 weeks with no4 and have refused growth scans as expect she’ll be just fine size wise x

Probably not the thread to ask, but what’s everyone’s opinions on both Egg travel systems and the swivel car seats please?
We’re looking at an Egg bundle, not sure if it’s worth the money getting a swivel car seat over the standard Egg one in the bundle.
Would appreciate any tips 😌 x
I’ve got both 😂 the egg car seat has been used a grand total of 1 time in 2022 and that was to carry her from the hospital to the car. We bought the Joie 360 ispin within a week because the egg car seat did not feel secure enough (the harness not the isofix base) and the swivel made life 1000 x easier! I won’t even bother using it this time we’ve just got another Joie instead! Love my pram though- we’ve just bought the tandem adaptors to use so I won’t need any big purchases this time around!

Thank you for sharing, I think mine might be more like your second experience - this little one is nowhere near the first centile at 28 weeks. I was really hoping for a VBAC but would like to avoid being induced if possible! It’s just a wild experience after having a 97th percentile firstborn.

I was told exactly the same and everything is all okay, had you had any sugar or anything prior? I’m usually really low sugar but had done a gym class and I had 8 haribo so I assumed this was why 😂

Only cereal and a cup of tea as it was first thing. I think what got me wondering was the way he said 'an active baby is a healthy baby but this is the most active baby I've seen in a very very long time'. He didn't elaborate so I presumed it was fine it was the 'but' I think that made second guess it afterwards on the drive home. I'm sure he would have said if he was concerned 🤔
