Thank you, we are supposed to have weekly 121s but haven't had one in a few weeks where we've been busy! I was thinking to give it a week or so and if a normal one isn't booked in I'll ask if I can have a catch up call.
If I was in an office I don't think I'd have been able to hide it this long as my sickness has been so bad!

Thank you for pushing me to check checked last night. All is okay, but baby was in an awkward position and it took them a really long time to find a heartbeat. He’s breech at the moment so his kicks have been ‘shielded’ by my anterior placenta.

When did/are people planning to tell work about their pregnancy? I haven't yet and am 15 weeks, I work from home so i never see my manager in person. Thought I'd wait till we have a 121 but we've not had one in weeks. I'm not sure whether just to tell them over a teams message 😂 I just don't know how to approach it!
I told my manager at 18 weeks! I wanted to wait until after my 20 week scan but I was running out of baggy enough clothes to hide it 😂

I would book a meeting with them so they can tell you what they need from you etc. I told me around 13 weeks because I had to go to an inperson meeting at 15 weeks and was still in the middle of morning (all day) sickness. I had to fly down to London for the meeting and was sick the whole time and spent days in bed recovering. On hindsight I shouldn't have gone.

Also your work should carry out risk assessments which is important to ensure all is okay work wise!

Currently 20 weeks often get more cold than usual at night - I find fluffy socks and a heated blanket helps a lot! I don’t think it’s abnormal
I am freezing all the time, especially in bed at night. My other half actually got me a heated blanket for Christmas but I've been too nervous to use it, as I read online (I know, I shouldn't have looked) that they should be avoided when pregnant for the same reasons at hot baths?

Someone on here mentioned that they’re getting TikToks on their FYP of early loss and I am too, and it’s freaking me out. I feel a bit ‘different’ today and it’s gotten me a bit anxious. I have more twingey pains including some gut/stomach cramps as well as the slightly more period type cramps I have been having the whole way through. My nausea has gone completely today as well, which I should be delighted about but I’m not, instead I’m freaked out.

it was a stressful week at work last week, to put it mildly, and so my anxiety is heightened anyway, then we went away for the weekend so all my eating has been different to normal, larger amounts of naughtier food (still allowed food though!) at different times to normal, which might explain the lack of nausea and maybe the stomach cramps. I don’t know. I still had to get up at wee like 4 times in the night so there’s one symptom still staying with me!

None of the way I feel matches the reasons to call up the early pregnancy unit or the midwife team or wherever. I’ll keep an eye out. Bloody TikTok. It’s a blessing and a curse.

I tried hiding keywords and it never worked so I deleted it for the first 3 months. Then when I redownloaded it I was getting stillbirths, birth defects etc etc. it was awful

Probably not the thread to ask, but what’s everyone’s opinions on both Egg travel systems and the swivel car seats please?
We’re looking at an Egg bundle, not sure if it’s worth the money getting a swivel car seat over the standard Egg one in the bundle.
Would appreciate any tips 😌 x

We didn’t have a swivel car seat when he was a baby but when he moved to the next size car seat we got one and it makes life so much easier. Saves a lot back ache.

Yeah a swivel car seat is 100% worth it IMO. My parents just have a regular base in their car and I’m really struggling to wrestle my 20 month old into it at the moment.

Totally agree and yesterday I couldn’t open the car door on baby’s side so luckily could open the other side, swivel the base around and put her into the car from the right hand side. Not sure what I would have done without it!

Also - at which point did you all get your maternity exemption through? My midwife said she’d sort it and I’ll get an email. I’m not sure if it just takes a while or if she’s forgotten!

I got the email straight after my appointment x

Ohh okay, thank you! I’ll mention it to her then. I didn’t want to bother her before my next appointment if it’s something which takes a while. Thank you! X

Hello everyone, I had Botox done a few days ago and just found out I’m 6 weeks pregnant. Has anyone else had Botox in early pregnancy. Obviously there’s nothing I can do now. There isn’t much info on it, just that it isn’t advised because there haven’t been studies done on pregnant women, but also a lot of people say because it’s localised it’s fine.

Looking for personal experiences. Thank you xxx

The insomnia and night peeing is defeating me at the moment! Also the nasal congestion. Every morning I feel hungover. Except I’m obviously not 🤣

I was told I'd get mine at 28 week appt.

Anyone used the Sneak Peek Gender Test? An at home collection blood test. I’m in two minds. I’m ultra curious but is this a science step too far?

I got mine at my booking appointment, but I was already on antiemetics at that point so needed it for the prescriptions. She did it while I was there and asked me to check it had gone through - it’s a fairly quick process so might be worth giving them a nudge?
