I’ve had a catheter in and out for an pregnancy-unrelated urinary surgery years ago, I was under anaesthetic when it was put in but it was taken out a few hours later it was like a bit of a tug and tightness? A weird feeling but not painful. the first pee after is a bit stingy just because ur urethra is a bit irritated from the catheter tube but after that wouldn’t have noticed id had it in.
Ahh I can deal with that.. 😀

I went to my 20 week scan a few days ago expecting everything to be fine but it wasn't my baby looks healthy and is growing well except one of his kidneys doesn't look normal and is full of cysts. They believe he has mcdk and should live a normal life but will only have 1 kidney. I'm devastated I know worse diagnosis but i feel like it's something I've done. I'm now waiting to be referred to fetal medicine 😪

My Husband has a slight sore throat and as a man who gets Man Flu he is obviously dying and moaning about how bad he feels despite being able to take all the drugs. Meanwhile I'm still struggling to talk without coughing.

Just checking whether a court would look favourably upon me should he be murdered?

Any of you ladies done colostrum harvesting? I’m only 16 weeks currently but just thinking ahead to the end of my pregnancy. I plan to formula feed again but with first I breast fed for 4 days to give colostrum. This time I’m thinking to harvest and give them with a syringe. I’ve also heard it’s good for keeping in the freezer for a while for if they’re poorly

I intended to but i tried and it made me feel really sick which i think is common 😐 I haven’t had the chance to persevere yet and im 39 weeks tomorrow so also hoping maybe through the week if I try again it might get things moving 😬

I did even though I had no intention of breast feeding. I syringe fed them in hospital, then as we moved to bottles I gave one before each bottle. Still have some in the freezer now

Yes I am! I’m currently 37 weeks and been collecting whilst watching tv in the evening. I’m planning to combi feed and then fully transition to bottle (did this last time and it worked). Good idea to keep in the freezer for when they are poorly like you say.

Oh I'm sorry to hear this. My nephew had the same identified in his 20w scan. He's completely fine and absolutely thriving ahead of all milestones.

He had constant scans but was discharged around his second birthday. It's nothing you have done soʻ please dont blame yourself but I'm aware we probably do. 🩵

I can imagine this is super upsetting and I’m sorry. I have a family member and a friend who both only have one kidney and they are absolutely healthy adults x

I’m experiencing a lot of cramping today - 22+5. It feels like bad period pains and I have to keep going to the loo to check im not bleeding, and it’s in my lower back too. Definitely not braxton hicks as it’s a constant, dull pain rather than sharp and coming and going. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone. Found out I was pregnant on Christmas Eve, but started bleeding on the 29th and went to EPU and they examine me and said they couldn't see any bleeding from my tina or cervix and to come in again if it gets heavier, and it did so I went back in on the 2nd jan and once again my cervix was closed with minimal bleeding.
I was sent for a scan at 5 weeks (today) and they couldn't see anything either because it's too early or I've already miscarried.
my hcg is 60 and I think I'm around 5 weeks maybe a bit earlier I'm not sure, I've read this isn't good.
I think I've had a MC because I've been bleeding for 4 days and have passed clots. I've got to wait until Wednesday to see if it's gone up but I'm not feeling hopeful. This is my second MC and I'm losing hope.
Has anyone been on progesterone? I'm thinking about seeing if I can be put on it x

So sorry that you are going through this. I had a miscarriage, in November 2023 and have had previous treatment on my cervix due to cancerous cells and went into spontaneous labour at 35 weeks with my first son, so when I found out I was pregnant this time I spoke to my GP and EPU about going on progesterone but they refused it, I was going round in circles, each saying I needed to speak to the other. In the end I booked a private consultation and the consultant was more than happy to prescribe it. I was then considered high risk on the NHS due to my pre-term birth and the NHS agreed to prescribe it as it’s quite expensive to keep paying out for private prescriptions.

I had it as soon as my test was positive after 5 previous losses and had a successful pregnancy. I believe the guidance is you need to have 1 or more miscarriages before they will prescribe it. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you!

I will definitely ask for it then, I've heard mixed stories about them being able to prescribe it but no harm in trying x

that's what I read, I'd be eligible after 2 miscarriages but then someone else told me it's after 3. I read that the chances of having another go up quite high after your 2nd MC so that wouldn't make sense to me that they'd wait.
I'm happy it worked out for you xx

I think it’s because it’s classed as ‘common’ for us to have them. Absolutely cruel and shouldn’t be that way in my opinion. There was never any reason for mine, just down to bad luck apparently but I do believe the progesterone helped! I was also prescribed low dose aspirin from 12 weeks which there’s a lot of info out there about that helping too.

Hi I was offered investigations after my second consecutive miscarriage. Thought nothing would be found but they discovered I have an autoimmune disorder which the consultant said was the cause of my mc’s
I found out I was pregnant in December and immediately started heparin and asprin.
We had a scan a few days back and baby has a heartbeat and is measuring perfectly 🥹
It is worth asking for bloods to be done. If you want a list of what they tested me for (it was around 40 different things) I can put a list in here
