Isofix is easier to install properly and move.RE: Isofix
Does everybody buy these? Or are you just strapping the car seat in?
This. Isofix isn’t inherently safer but there’s a lot of room for human error with seat belt strapping.Isofix is easier to install properly and move.
If you happen to have a car without isofix the strapping works but it must be done properly, and it's just better if you leave the seat on the car always .
Yeah I'm in a weird cycle of either little to no quality sleep or vivid horrible dreams because I'm falling into such deep sleep out of pure knackeredness when my body does get comfy enough to let me actually nod if that makes sense (and boy I'm feeling the effects rn)Wtf are pregnancy dreams all about?? Mildly scared to sleep tonight after the last few nights![]()
Omg this is me. I either can’t sleep because I can’t get comfy, or I do sleep because I’m exhausted and I have the weirdest, most realistic and violent dreams everYeah I'm in a weird cycle of either little to no quality sleep or vivid horrible dreams because I'm falling into such deep sleep out of pure knackeredness when my body does get comfy enough to let me actually nod if that makes sense (and boy I'm feeling the effects rn)![]()
Do yourself a favour and block the hashtags! I know I had to as it was scaring me senseless. Also been selecting not interested if it still comes up on the algorithm. Something I did was have two accounts - 1 I happily look at baby stuff on and 1 I purposely avoided any baby searches or videos so I still had some normal algorithm.Bloody TikTok. It’s a blessing and a curse.
I’m so old and technologically incapable I’m not even sure I know how to do thatDo yourself a favour and block the hashtags! I know I had to as it was scaring me senseless. I think I posted on here about this at the start of my pregnancy, it was horrible seeing it all the time esp as if had a loss before this baby! Now I’m in my 3rd trimester all I’m seeing is stuff about still birthSomeone on here mentioned that they’re getting TikToks on their FYP of early loss and I am too, and it’s freaking me out. I feel a bit ‘different’ today and it’s gotten me a bit anxious. I have more twingey pains including some gut/stomach cramps as well as the slightly more period type cramps I have been having the whole way through. My nausea has gone completely today as well, which I should be delighted about but I’m not, instead I’m freaked out.
it was a stressful week at work last week, to put it mildly, and so my anxiety is heightened anyway, then we went away for the weekend so all my eating has been different to normal, larger amounts of naughtier food (still allowed food though!) at different times to normal, which might explain the lack of nausea and maybe the stomach cramps. I don’t know. I still had to get up at wee like 4 times in the night so there’s one symptom still staying with me!
None of the way I feel matches the reasons to call up the early pregnancy unit or the midwife team or wherever. I’ll keep an eye out. Bloody TikTok. It’s a blessing and a curse.
I’m feeling exactly the same!!! I went for my first midwife appointment last week and obvs my bmi is high (it was on my last pregnancy) and so I have to take extra vit D and also start aspirin daily from 12 weeks. It just made me feel anxious. I still don’t even have my scan until mid March.Someone on here mentioned that they’re getting TikToks on their FYP of early loss and I am too, and it’s freaking me out. Pregnancy symptoms can change a lot in the early weeks as the placenta develops then at 10-12 weeks the placenta takes over and you can get a big shift. Try to remember your hormone levels are all over the shop and it can be really up and down but it’s totally normal xSomeone on here mentioned that they’re getting TikToks on their FYP of early loss and I am too, and it’s freaking me out. yes! I think it’s the not knowing how it will go.. at least it was for me! And I didn’t have a bad first labour either just long.Anyone else given birth before but still terrified of doing it again? 25 weeks and I'm scared thinking about it every day. My partners answer is you'll be ok you've done it before. It doesn't make it any easier and I didn't have a bad labour first time it was just very long. This is my 2nd baby after 9 years and I've heard mixed things that the labour will still be shorter or that having such a large gap it can be just as long and painful as the first which doesn't help my anxiety
i kept seeing stuff about stillborns on insta as my due date neared which scared me senseless and it didnt help that i lost my waters and didnt go into active labour… i ended up having a longer stay in hospital than i wanted because i ended up with an infection thankfully my baby was/is fine. I dont understand how algorithms work tbh and was unaware it could be blocked that sort of content… wish i had known at the timeI think I posted on here about this at the start of my pregnancy, it was horrible seeing it all the time esp as if had a loss before this baby! I’m useless at tech stuff as well, I just make sure not to click on it if I can help it so as not to feed the algorithm (insta, I don’t use TikTok so not sure about that
I get this I suffer badly from anxiety as well and when I found out I was pregnant (around 4/5 weeks) I had a call with a doctor to discuss about the meds I am on, was on a few for different conditions(some I had to stop) but the main one being Sertraline for anxiety. She was great and spoke through everything with me and the potential risks are very low based on the research they have done. And it's a balance between making sure my mental health still stays stable as well, which is a rollercoaster in itself, although I did feel guilty but she was really reassuring about it all. Thanks everyone. I honestly expected to feel anxious and confused about this from the very start of knowing I was pregnant. I’ve known for 4 weeks today and to have gotten all the way to today without starting to feel really worried about what I can/cant feel is a bit of an achievement for me. I have pretty long-term, enduring anxiety. I had to increase my SSRIs towards the end of last year. I had come off them completely to start TTC, then got very ill with anxiety so had to restart. I tapered onto the lowest dose which is usually just used to get someone used to it before going up another level, but it took the edge off so I stayed at that dose as a compromise between my mental health and TTC. When that stopped being enough for me last year when times were tough. I had to go back up to my old dose again. I don’t feel great about being on meds where it’s not clear what it might do for my baby, but I also know it would be really risky for me personally to try to come off.
My first midwife appt is the end of this coming week, I’ll be sure to be really open about my binfire mental health just in case there’s a particular pathway available to me.
I promise not to spend all my time here being an anxious gibbering mess!
