Yes, it was a symptom that surprised me the most! I was talking on a phone walking in circles around the room and had to sit down because I was so out of breath
It started almost immediately after my positive. Another weird one was stuffy and bloody nose. Apparently it's all connected to increased blood volume (your body will produce 50% more blood now) along with bleeding gums, spidery veins and haemorrhoids.
The same for peeing during the night - I always thought it's happening in the 3rd trimester because the baby is putting pressure on the bladder, but for me peeing was the worst in the first month or two.
Blame excessive urination on the pregnancy hormone hCG, which increases the blood flow to your pelvic area. HCG also increases blood flow to your kidneys, which become more efficient during pregnancy.
I have to say it's all extremely fascinating to me from scientific point of view.
