Does anyone have any tips for colostrum harvesting? I’ve seen a few videos online but I’m worrying myself in case I can’t get any especially given how important it can be for babies when I have GD!

I don’t know how I’ve managed hahahaWatch a few videos and don’t be disappointed the first few times if you get nothing! It took me a while to get the hang of it and I’m still not getting loads.
Well baby brews name is officially down for a nursery place from next summer. Feels so bittersweet having that sorted. Glad it's done and it was by far our favourite place, but just wish I could afford to stay home with her for much longer 
I’m the exact same but 31 weeks. I think I just carry low because my first was also low and everyone kept telling me I’d go early! This one has just never moved out of my pubic area, the little jabs down there is such a weird feeling I wish it would move upHad an appointment this morning and got to listen to baby’s heart beat 🤍
I said this baby is very low down already, confirmed this by having to pull my knickers halfway down and have the Doppler digging into my pubic bone to get the heartbeat
I’m not even 24 weeks and this baby is causing endless fan daggers
I get big bulges at the side sometimes like it’s the bum or back sticking out but never had anything higher than my belly button. Let’s hope it’s an easy exit because it does feel like something could pop out at any minute Also talking about pulling your knickers down…. Has anyone had a bikini wax? I went back to shaving since I’ve been pregnant because I was just too ill to go out but now I can’t see what I’m doing, I started to get some razor bumps so I’ve let it grow a while with the plan to get waxed. Scared though that this wee thing will just be kicking down there the whole time
It’s not officially recommended but my midwife said it was ok to use a hand pump then syringe it up. It took a couple of days but I managed to get quite a bit when I was doing it consistently. I’d either have a hot shower first or put a hot water bottle on my boob for 10 mins first then hand pump that side for 10 mins and have the hot water bottle on the other side while I was doing it. I managed to get quite a bit by the time
I had him which was a godsend in the first few days when we were trying to BF and he was having none of it

I’ve not had a bikini wax but I get my brows done every 4 weeks and I get a bit of a reaction to the wax during pregnancy, almost like hives but doesn’t itch and clears within a couple of hours.
You are a lot more sensitive down there, worth bearing it mind but it’s perfectly safe. Just try and make sure baby doesn’t stick an arm out and wave hello 🫣
Keep warm and stop if nothing comes and try again in a bit.
But don’t worry if you don’t get much. They told me to only bring in 2-3 syringes (which I forgot in as it happens anyway)
Home Bargains has quite a few Tommee Tippee bits in really cheap. We went to one a lot bigger than our usual store today. I bought those formula little tubs on Amazon today for £5 for 6. They were selling the exact 6 pack for £1.99! I cancelled my order of course.

Oh! I bought a mam formula tub, I found it really handy last time. Someone bought me it and I thought it was junk but actually used it loads!
For the wayfarer the silver cross car seats should fit right on (not sure if they need adapters at all?) and then you used to be able to buy adapters for maxi cosy car seats… and probably some other brands which tends to be affordable there is probably a table somewhere if you google wayfarer travel system car seat compatibility x
Joie usually fit on maxi Cosi adapters and offer good value for money.
However @AL10 you could go straight for a fixed seat (not compatible with travel system) that will go birth to age 4 like the Joie 360 or the Graco turn2me @ £150 with excellent safety ratings.
Travel system compatible go to about 15 months so consider if you’ll need to lift seat out rather than just lift baby out, you mightn’t need to buy twice.
It’s handy to not have to wake baby up or mess around with the basinette to do something quick but advice is don't leave them in a car seat longer than necessary so I guess it depends on how you think you’ll use it, if you do lots of little trips.
(First baby I could’ve got away without a compatible but 2nd baby, I dont want to get them in and out of a car seat to run oldest from the car to the school gate for instance so need one that’ll clip in)
I’ve read it’s best to avoid the seats that go from birth up to age 7 or 12 as they’re not as comfy or safe, they're trying to do too much and not really achieving it.
Can I ask what type of changing mat you’re going for? We’ve bought the Ikea Hemnes chest of drawers too (the 8 drawer long one) and trying to figure out how to make sure a changing mat doesn’t slip around on top!
I did something similar and used a Mama Shack Anti Roll Changing Mat. Never had an issue with it slipping around

Just had our 25 week midwife appt. She used a really old Doppler (telling me her new one was broken) and couldn’t find baby’s heartbeat for ages. Even then she found it for a millisecond. She said she wasn’t worried cos also heard noises that sound like movement. She was like “you aren’t worried are you”? I was like… luckily not because I’m a fairly chilled out person and I’ve been feeling her wriggling a lot the last few days. Also I have my own Doppler so can check in myself. But still, feel so bad for women who might be experiencing reduced movements or have in the past, what an unnecessary stress. They should do a quick ultrasound or nothing in my opinion.
