If naan bread doesn't stick as a nickname, I'll be deeply disappointedWell 4d scan done, think I consumed a bit toooo much sugar beforehand, gone from a lazy baby who usually refuses to move to one who was spinning and wriggling at lightning speed, too quick to get any clear pics. She looks like a naan bread and I love her so much![]()
She checked where baby was going to sleep but a lot of people say theirs didn’t do this. Maybe I was just unluckyI’ve had a letter from the health visitor to do a home visit next week. What should I expect from this? I never had this first time round, but maybe that was because it was during lockdown.
Extra long phone charger lead, lots of snacks (sweet and savoury)Those who’ve had babies already, was there anything NOT on the typical hospital bag checklists that you would recommend taking??
Would also love the answers to this! Think it’s time to start sorting it outThose who’ve had babies already, was there anything NOT on the typical hospital bag checklists that you would recommend taking??

If you think you’ll have a bit of a stay and have multiple devices one of these might be handy. Not many sockets at my hospital. Those who’ve had babies already, was there anything NOT on the typical hospital bag checklists that you would recommend taking??
I wish we could pin posts!Snacks that are easy to eat one handed - Pringles, biscuits etc
An insulated cup to keep your drink cold cus the ward is the temperature of hell and nobody wants luke warm water
Cooling spray
And obviously fry lite
For baby id take your travel changing mat because if you have a section your OH will be doing the first nappy changes and if they’re anything like Mr R you’ll end up with meconium poo everywhere
A good tip someone on another thread gave me was to get your OH to pack your bag (with a lot of assistance obviously) so they know where to find everything because it’s them who’ll be going through it to find bits for you.
Also pack a single nappy and hat in a separate little ziplock bag that can be grabbed if you need to go to theatre rather than your OH/MW/birth partner searching through your bag for them
---
Also make sure your partner knows the difference between sleepsuits & vests, blankets & muslins etc because Mr R didn’t and it stressed me out when I was in agony trying to change baby and asked for a vest and he’d hand me a sleepsuit etc but he’s a special breed and I’m sure most adults are aware![]()
Can I ask about the references to fry lite.. must have missed it and totally intrigued
My section is less then 28 days, but I’m sure there is a few before me
Someone will explain better than I can but essentially a typo and baby brainsCan I ask about the references to fry lite.. must have missed it and totally intrigued![]()
