Baby had a high heart rate but I didn’t. I had lots of extra monitoring (like 4hr CTG’s) nearly every day and a scan. But I had reduced movement too. If your heart rate was high I believe that can affect babies heart rate tho which might be why theirs is high? Did they find a reason?
No they didn’t find a reason, everything was coming back clear. Was so baffled, didn’t get any answers

I had my midwife appointment today and mine and babies pulse was high, was sent to triage and got monitored, was ok. Anyone else had that at end of pregnancy?
I had this! Got told to keep on top of my water intake. Nothing ever came from it, was always fine after that day X

I went and bought some of those huge oversized t-shirt night dress thingies from Primark today and oh my god why didn't I do this sooner. Soooo much comfier than anything with a waistband.

Although I got one ready to put on, got undressed, turned around and it had gone. Looked up to find Mr B had decided to model it for me 😆 can't say the lilac aristocats look quite suited him but it could have been so much worse 🤣

Further to what I said earlier about the rules with new baby.
Oldest has baby on lap, baby does that cough/sneeze thing. Oldest says “you must cover your mouth when you cough” and promptly clamps hand over baby’s face 🥴
How did I not think about any of this 🙈

Yeah if I wasn’t pregnant now we’d have got a second cockapoo. He’s so playful and loving of all dogs and people. My only fear of him and the baby is attention being taken away from him, and how he will adjust to that. I don’t know if he will resent the baby. Do dogs even feel resent? I don’t know 😂 I’m very dramatic about this. He’s been my priority for two years now. The bed in the spare room was HIS bed, he napped and slept there overnight. Now the bed is gone and there’s a cot in there. So he’s had his room taken off him already. He’s also very affectionate and will kiss on repeat ALL day if you let him, and I don’t think a newborn baby wants to be licked a million times, so he needs to learn more boundaries.

(Idk if anyone cares for dog pics, sorry to de-rail. As you can see I really do post like he’s my actual baby!)
He's adorable!! My husband and I just decided today (after months of agonising) to adopt a second dog - I'm due end of November, so am hoping we have enough time to adjust our first dog to the new member of the family before the other new member of the family arrives.

Everyone we've spoken to says this is completely the wrong decision - and I know practically they're right, but my heart is so sure this is the right decision! We met this dog when we were in the middle of fertility appointments and had both decided there was no way we could have a baby this year, and if I wasn't pregnant, we'd already have her in our home. She's so lovely and was so good with our very shy dog and is currently being fostered by a grandma with lots of young grandchildren who she's apparently very good with. So I hope it'll be okay.

(This is not to say you should get a second dog, but just that I'm sure you made the right decision for you and I hope in time I'll still feel I made the right decision!)

Ahhhh best of luck! I think about it all the time, but think I’ve left it too late now as due in just over two months. I actually really want a cat too 😂 but OH doesn’t at all. I’ve tried to convince him they’re easy and low maintenance, but he’s not interested. I’ve never seen my dog with a cat either, we don’t let him near them if we see one on walks as I fear they could be unpredictable and scratch him. He also barks at them. So it just wouldn’t be something to try right now.

Please keep me updated! Although it’s such a varying experience, I’m really intrigued as to how they settle in with you and how it goes with baby

I woke up today and all my symptoms are gone. I’m 8 weeks and saw the baby 10 days ago, heartbeat and all, but this just makes me super worried. Even my boobs don’t hurt today at all! I know it can be normal for symptoms to come and go and I’m thankful nausea only lasted one week but it’s just weird they all went away at once?

I think I’ll book a private scan for next week, my next regular appointment is only in one month and I don’t think I can go that long esp. being so nervous about everything after MC.

Think I’ll need to get some of these. I’ve refused to buy any more new things but tried putting on my extra big/baggy T-shirts and they’re all so tight! Im just hoping everything lasts me at least the next two weeks of work then I’ll just be wearing anything!

Are you still going to see the dog in those weeks? Might be a big change for him to go elsewhere then come back to a baby.

We have a Newfoundland who we’ve had some aggression issues with in the past, so have always been worried about her being around my toddler and now a new baby. We even thought about rehoming her, but she’s old now and don’t imagine she has much long left in her so we couldn’t do it. She’s absolutely fine with my toddler, I think we are more paranoid than anything but just always cautious when he plays near her, he doesn’t understand that she’s old and doesn’t want to be jumped on but she’s always been completely fine and gentle with him.
Ah yes, we will definitely see him, he’s only a tiny chihuahua but he is very clingy with me, won’t go outside if my partner opens the door got him, won’t eat if partner feeds him so I feel it will be a lot when I’m recovering from section. He growled at my partner the other when he rubbed him.. I think it will all be fine and we will definitely give it all a chance to settle but so many people are saying it’ll never work, just feels like a lot right now.. I have no worries about when the baby is tiny and I guess I’ll have a plan once they are on the move. I trust him with me 100 per cent but not with anyone else..

I had that a few weeks ago at the GP blood pressure was high, was sent to emergency and when I got there they monitored the baby and me and all was perfect, it has resolved and I was sent home within the hour.. fingers crossed it’s the same for you x

Those on the 2 dog discussion…don’t do it. Wow two dogs is a HUGE leap from one. I’ve only one child and as much as I wouldn’t be without my two dogs I would never have two again. It’s such a lot harder.

Try not to worry. Your placenta will be taking over which can change symptoms completely. They’ll probably be back with a vengeance tomorrow. But book a scan if it will give you peace of mind, it’s what I did and I don’t regret a single private scan I went for because they give so much reassurance. Especially before you can feel baby moving

I had this (I previously had a MMC with no sign) and so I was super paranoid when it happened to me during this pregnancy. The baby was fine though! Book that scan if it’ll help reassure you because seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks is a really good sign 🩷

Had my second ultrasound today (couldn’t measure in the last one). Everything is great! I’m 9+3 along! So ecstatic, can finally allow myself to actually start thinking and planning ❤❤❤

I had days like this. It’s so odd but I’d say it’s completely normal. Book that scan and get the reassurance x

I have my 20 week scan on Monday, excited but a little nervous! Do I need a full bladder? I know it’s gonna be a longer scan and don’t think I can go that long without having a wee 🤣🤣
