Does anyone have any recommendations for anything to help with pregnancy spots/acne. My concealer is barely covering them up and my face is covered 😭

I swear by bugaboo prams.
We have the donkey, which I used in mono with the side basket for our daughter. A bit heavy, but so good on all terrain and loads of space in the basket underneath and the side.
Really lovely to push as well it never buckles on the wheels which is a big thing for me!

This is good to hear as my cousin is dead set on the bugaboo donkey

Just sat at work and got emotional realising I'm in the third trimester now. I always thought this would never happen for me. I'm a bit overwhelmed with how grateful I feel right now.

Any recommendations for prams?

We went and had a look today and we saw some really nice ones like Drift and Parnorma brands for like £400 but my mum showed us an iCandy one (mainly because it’s designer I think) and the price is like over £1000 so me and Mr 10 are very hesitant as it’s soo much money.

Going to look at some more soon but what are you guys thoughts on the iCandy etc?
We have an iCandy. I wasn't so bothered about what brand we went with but we wanted one that could convert to hold 2 as we knew we wanted kids close in age and it seemed easier to buy 1 that was more expensive then buying 1 and having to get a second when number 2 came along.

No issues for us with it

Just wanted to share here as I still feel like I can’t tell anyone in real life yet! We had the 12 week scan today and this is the first time our baby has made it to this stage without the pregnancy sadly ending in miscarriage 🩵

Everything looks good and they were kicking away happily 😭🥹

We have the Donkey and have been out on a few walks around the block! Enjoying it so far! We also got the buggy board for our eldest which is handy.

Just make sure she has a big enough car boot, because it is an absolute tank 🤣

They are car shopping at the moment so I’ll remind her she needs a big boot 😂😂

Well guys, I have spent the evening SOBBING because I thought I was gonna ruin my 2 year old life having another baby 😭😭😭 I'm not ok.
I just saw this and I have to say, I was just the same. My oldest was 14months(ish) when our second was born and I felt like I was going to do her serious harm and have her in therapy for the rest of her life but in actual fact, they are thick as thieves.

By the time this one is born, we'll have a 2 year old, 1 year old and a newborn and whilst I truly do think my husband and I may have lost our minds, I cannot wait to see the friendship they have growing up (mixed in with a little concern that my tiny terrorist may attempt to sell the baby the first time it cries).

We have tried to make sure that both of them get one on one time, even if for a week that is just running to the supermarket with dad while the other stays home with me. I definitely built it up worse in my mind.

Early days but my 3.5 yr old has taken to it 90% well. The good has been so, so special and we haven’t really had and extra challenging behaviour, just the normal amount but now it’s focused on/triggered by baby rather than whatever it’d usually be.
It is hard seeing their confusion but my God, seeing their pride, curiosity, love, nurturing etc makes me think that while conflicted overall their positive emotions about it far outweigh the bad.

I don’t know if it’ll be relevant to anyone as it’s probably age gap specific but 2 things I think we might have cocked up. Might be obvious to other people but just didn’t occur to us 🙈

1. Watching cartoons about baby where the big sibling feels pushed or unhappy about the new baby. I think it’s put ideas in their head about the negative things, obviously they have happy endings but it’s probably raised ideas they wouldn’t have thought of 🙄 . LO loves to copy cartoons and we’ve had a few times where their compliant is straight from the cartoons.

2. We talked endlessly before hand about how baby needed taking care of with carrying and nappies and baby can’t play or eat food at first, how they could help if they wanted to, but I didn’t think about safety stuff and now it feels like I’m constantly saying ‘you can’t’ Or ‘don’t’. First day they almost tried to give baby some strawberry. We said they didn’t eat but we didn’t specifically say “don’t feed baby any food”, “don’t try to give baby a drink/pick them up/put blankets over them/toys in the cot…etc”. Also that there are things they can’t help with like carrying baby around.
Obviously they’re supervised but I wish I’d worked more on the ‘rules’ before hand.

So pleased for you @Elisha97 🤍

I’m getting a bit fed up with my work. It’s been 5 weeks since I filled in maternity forms and sent over my Mat B1 form. What is the usual process? Should someone have been in touch with me by now to approve maternity leave etc?

It’s a bit of a weird one because I only started here in December as a fixed term contract, then fell pregnant. I don’t know how it works because I’m only supposed to be here until December, but obviously I’ll be on Maternity leave by then. The policy here for maternity pay is you need to be working 6 months by 25 weeks, I just miss this by two weeks so I imagine I’m not entitled to any maternity pay. I’ve put in all my holidays so only have two more weeks left here but have had no communication from my manager or HR about maternity leave/pay. I’d like to try and apply for maternity allowance but I also need a letter from my employer that states I don’t get mat pay!

I’ve got a £130 John Lewis voucher from work, what would you recommend we spend it on?
Not too bothered about the travel systems but may make an appointment to go look

Waiting for the rapid cool comments…

Do they sell next to mes ? Could put it towards that?
