I really want to do a 4D scan but it’s €185. How many weeks were you when you got yours?
I was exactly 27 weeks with my first and 28 weeks with my second. To me, it was definitely worth it but it might be best to shop around, if that's a possibility - we're in London so we had a fair few options.

God pregnancy is such a wild ride.

I'm only 9 weeks and I'd heard the first 12 can be rough and they werent kidding! I'm really struggling with sleeping at the moment (owing to getting up at least 3 times a night for the loo, not being able to get comfy and having some really weird dreams), ive got a cold that's been lingering for about 3 weeks and also had awful nausea for the last 10 days which is making me feel so miserable. Im so lucky that i WFH a lot and can be flexible with my time so im sleeping for little naps in the afternoon or working later when I need to. My OH just came into my office and said I look like I'd been dug up! He did ask if there was anything I needed and that he was sorry for getting me pregnant and having me go through all of this which just made me sob!

Got our dating scan date letter this morning which made me smile but I am so over feeling so tired and ropey. Fully appreciate I might not feel better for a while but I don't think I was prepared for how I would feel 🙈

I really struggled around that time - mentally as well knowing I still had a long time to go.

It does get better, some people feel so much better in second trimester - I gradually did feel better (although still being sick now) but you will look back and realise you feel better. It’s all about taking one day at a time and survival. You got this !

Thank you @User767676 ❤

It's one of those situations where you think 'this will be fine!' and now I'm here, it's very very different! One day at a time is all I can do - and keep snacking on rich tea biscuits!

Just waiting for when I start to glow rather than look like I should be in a mortuary 😂

I think pretty much all of us can relate but it just doesn't get spoken about irl and the media enough that pregnancy really isn't any fun and is actually rough both mentally and physically.
I felt a lot better after 12 weeks but there's always something irritating... uncomfortable sleeps, random nosebleeds, the on and off panic. We're definitely allowed to complain and feel sorry for ourselves and it's important to remember that complaining doesn't mean we're any less grateful to be in this situation growing life. And it'll all be more than worth it once baby is here.

I am struggling so much today, the end is so near but everytime the baby moves it hurts so much like my whole stomach just feels bruised at this point, along with feeling like I've been sitting on an uncomfortable bike I'm just not having a lovely time right now hahaha

Last night I slept through for the first time this whole pregnancy! No getting up for a wee. I’m 11 weeks so it’s been a while without the hour I’m awake around 3

Honestly if you look back at the threads you will see everyone has had struggles, as @Brewtime87 said no one seems to talk about it. You see all the influencers who act like it’s this easy thing and going to scans is fun, so please use this space to rant / moan all you want.

But yes Rich tea biscuits kept me going. I always find random biscuits or sweets in bags and pockets from when I had to take them everywhere !

I’m such a sniffly person in general, and it’s just so much worse pregnant. Just always have cold/flu symptoms. Can’t take all the medicine I’d like, just wallowing in my own self pity really.

Ok guys crazy spiral here. A couple of weeks ago we had a scan and baby’s measurements were all on point other than the abdomen circumference which was 5 days ahead. I just saw a video online of a woman who had that at a scan much further along and apparently this can be a sign of gestational diabetes 😖😖 now I’m panicking about my diet and having a huge overweight baby.. arghhh! I’m 20 weeks tomorrow. Husband is 6ft4 and I’m 5ft11, I’m on the overweight BMI thing but I think it’s bull (I lost 4 stone last year and was at my lowest weight ever and still considered overweight even though I was comfortably in a 12-14) so I’ve not been caring too much til now.. sorry this may seem really ridiculous but has anyone got any reassuring stories about measuring ahead?

Yay! Me too! Let’s hope it continues.
I fell asleep about 9pm with my makeup on, glasses on and phone in hand. Woke up at 5am.
Couldn’t believe I didn’t get up to pee either 🤣

Are you having the GTT?

I wouldn’t worry, have a look at how the 20w scan comes out. I have just checked my 20w scan and I did have that and do have GD (but I was in the border) but honestly at that gestation they’re so small it could just be a measurement a tiny bit out

They said I’ll have to have the glucose test cos of my BMI eventually. I’m just worried I’ve already created a giant baby and put myself at risk from just eating pasta and crisps for weeks. Thanks for the reassurance ❤❤

Whassup Baby was born yesterday after waiting 3 days for labour ward to break my waters! 38+5 and weighed 8lb 3! So glad I didn’t go overdue he’d of been a whopper 🤣
If anyone would like a positive induction/epidural story then I’d love to tell mine ❤
