Baby Kaye arrived by emergency section this evening! She had meconium in the waters and my heart rate and temp were off the scale. At one point yesterday I was having 8 contractions in 10 mins post gel anyway, we're both doing well and she's a perfect little bean. 8 lbs 7 oz

This is a good point re sickness actually. Pregnacare is well known for making people sick. It can be the iron (or just not agree with people). They also have quite low levels of some components.
Vitaboitics wellwoman original and Boots effervescent berocca rip off you can sip both include folic acid but no Vit A, the latter doesn’t have iron.

Ooh good to know. I thought I'd got my sickness under control once I stopped drinking tea so it was a bit of a surprise and that is the only change.

I'm not actually taking pregnacare but the boots own version. Pretty sure they're identical though, they've even made the box look the same.

Pregnacare is awful for sickness, my MW told me it sets a lot of women off. She said if I can’t stomach it to buy separate folic acid and vitamin D and just take those as they’re the important ones.

I do have those, I was taking them alongside my normal multivitamin that I can't take now because of the vitamin A. I'm going to take them alone until I can find some alternatives.

Thanks for everyone’s replies re sickness!

I’ve not been sick loads but I’ve got a real fear of it and I’m such a wuss so will try everyone’s tips. I’m struggling with water which is what I normally have 99% of the time so just trying I find drinks I can stomach for now.

I’ve felt nauseous for just over a week but interestingly not been sick until I moved over to the pregnacare vitamins from the pre contraception ones. I always take it at night with a meal so I may check out a different one see if that helps.

I’m pretty sure folic acid can make people nauseous. I didn’t like it so as soon as I hit second trimester I stopped taking it.

Had the sudden urge to pack my hospital bag. I'm 31 wks tomorrow but too many people have said it to me to pack so I said I'd make a start. Just put on a wash of the baby grows and vests etc and I'm not able for the sizes.. I'll be packing them into sandwich bags so they'll be protected from dust etc. Just nice to tick it off the list.

Just out doing a bit of Christmas shopping and had to go outside to sit down, first wave of morning sickness!!! The nausea is a bit overwhelming!!

I did mine early and baby came at 35 weeks. Trust that gut!

Baby daddy was a premie born 6 weeks early so I think that's in the back of my mind... Just in case and I couldn't be dealing micromanaging from hospital explaining where all the bits are

Just coming to officially park myself in these threads after a bit of skimming in the first miserable tri, hiya!

Feels a bit surreal as I went through these threads with my first and even though I swear no time has passed, that baby is now two and I'm here going again.

I had my 12 week scan today. (11+6 officially)

I’m sure this isn’t the case for a lot of women, but my extreme sickness and massive stomach has started to make sense now…

thank you so much! They are fraternal and I am also still breastfeeding my toddler, I read (after conceiving) that apparently you are at quite an increased chance of having twins if you conceive whilst breastfeeding! We also DTD WAY WAY more than we ever usually would so I’m not sure if it’s all coincidental or what still feel like I’m dreaming.

I’m already at an increased risk of preterm birth for a few reasons so feeling anxious but hopeful
