Just had to remind myself how the wrap and carrier work 😆 I bought some of his stuff so long ago I can’t really remember how to use it. Hospital bag has had its (probably) last pack, as has the baby’s. Currently sat in his nursery look at all the things we’ve bought to prepare… so not prepared for a tiny loud ball of joy.
What carrier and wrap have you got ? Our nursery is being decorated and we’ve ordered the drawers etc for it. Got the next to me crib (went for the Tutti Bambini Cozee) and think we’re ordering a Stokke cot. Bought a load of packs of nappies on the shop today 🙈 realised i need to start stocking up

I bought a black wrap from Amazon for me, and a baby bjorn carrier from Vinted for husband to use because he’ll not be able to work out how to use a wrap. At least the bjorn has the instructions on the carrier 😆

I'm feeling super rough today. Absolutely exhausted and acid reflux even when stood up awake (usually only get it when I'm laying down) hoping this isn't a sign of labour because I really don't have the energy today 😭 I've had a little nap and think I'm going to take it easy today and have a bath. I did walk a total of 4 miles yesterday (broken up through out the day) but maybe I overdjd it 🙈

Ended up going to triage because of some bright red blood. Better safe than sorry but omg all the waiting around 😅😡
hope all is ok!?

When did everyone start decorating the babies room etc? I never did it first time round as we moved house when I was 35 weeks so never got the chance before baby came but keen to do it this time since I missed out last time! Also it sure when feels safe to start stockpiling nappies, wipes, muslins etc etc! And washing the clothes, blankets, bed sheets! Don’t want to do it too early but don’t want to end up leaving it all til the last minute either!

We didn’t start buying or doing anything until 20 weeks. Im now 29 weeks and bought my first few packs of nappies today. We’ve got the pram, car seat and next to me crib. A few sleep suits etc. My husband has started the nursery because he said he doesn’t want to be decorating and hiring decorators over Christmas and after the baby is here. Hoping to have it done in the next few weeks. I’ve now made a list of everything to buy we don’t have yet and will start working my way through!

Yeah it's all good, did need an anti d shot though!

How was your anti d injection? I have mine on Friday next week. Read that with some you can have a slight allergic reaction.
It's pretty painful going in, a lot worse than a standard blood test "sharp scratch". But it goes away quickly! I had one at 28 weeks too and then this one for bleeding

One thing to remember is they want you to wait for about 10 minutes after you have it to monitor you! I didn’t realise this and as a result ended up missing my 28 week MW appt which was back to back with it (and then I burst into tears in the car park 🤦🏻‍♀️)

thanks. Not looking forward to it as I’m not a needle fan. I was supposed to have this one at 28 weeks but no one booked the appt and sent ot me so my midwife booked it last minute 🙄 and got it for my 30 week date which is apparently just on the boundary of when you can have it

Thanks for the heads up. I would prefer to be monitored for a while after as I’ve had anaphylaxis previously so the mention I’d seen that it can cause an allergy reaction. I’m working from home that day and had told my boss an hour for it (thinking of waiting times). Thanks for the heads up though and sorry to hear it caused you stress!!

Husband and I both struck down with some mega cold thing and I'm officially full term tomorrow (37 weeks). I anticipate she'll be late but we're kind of banking on it, lest we infect an entire hospital 😂 she's very low down in my pelvis and it's quite uncomfortable

Has anyone got any post partum tummy support? I remember feeling sick with my wobbly tummy after having my son 🙈

I never bothered with this, but soo wish I did! (If it would have made any difference, who knows, the thought counts - right?!)

One week to my third trimester and that's terrifying, baby definitely becoming more active and it's all great.

However, me is suffering with back and hip pain. What do ye ladies do to help it?
