How do you go about requesting notes? I've not long had my first which was pretty traumatic. In time I think I'd like the notes to help process it all!
You need to type into google ‘subject access request’ then your hospitals name. I’m not sure if every hospital do it this way though but that’s how I got mine!

I’m not who you originally replied to but just wanted to add- as well as doing a “subject access request”, you can request something commonly known as a “birth debrief”. A chance to chat through your notes with a midwife/medical professional and discuss your birth to help you better understand it or answer any questions you may have. ❤

Amazing, I'll look I to this too as I think I'm scarred for life after labour!

On baby centre, the scheduled December sections are starting and this terrifies me, because I’m one of them 😬 still waiting on my date, but I am starting to get that dread feeling in my stomach. Send help.

I wonder if yours will be close to me. I think we are due similar times, I got mine yesterday and it was 27th December!

Has anyone else gone for/heard people’s opinions on the Tommee Tippee silicone breast pump? Tempted by their breastfeeding bundle as Black Friday discounts (+ 15% off code for first order with them).

i worked out regular pre pregnancy

i felt so sick and threw up until about 18 weeks. then i started with round ligament pain. in my third trimester i felt the best. but i haven’t kept up with any workouts. so now i feel extremely weak. even body weight squats are absolutely foreign to me now. is anyone else is the same situation and is wondering how their body can recover post pregnancy ?

I’ve not used it, but it looks the same as the Haakaa which I used with my first baby and I found it really helpful!

100% with you on this. My first trimester I tried working out but the fatigue was so bad that I couldn't, went back in my second trimester and felt okay but then my gym closed 🙃 I didn't think there was any point in signing up to a new gym for a matter of months so I didn't bother and I didn't do any home workouts either so I'll be starting from scratch post partum. I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself though. And you'll always have that muscle memory and even though it will be slow you'll eventually get back to where you were before. Growing a baby is hard enough work in itself so don't put too much pressure on yourself ❤

I was worried about training myself, but the trainer said muscle memory does play a part. 😄 Just go easy on yourself and turn up when you can and that's good enough

Still pregnant 🙃 booked in for a sweep next week. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll go before then. Midwife said the baby is in a great position for labour so she can't see why I wouldn't go before next week but equally I'm not really having any signs so who knows 🤷 hope everyone else are doing well ❤

Don’t be too worried about signs-with my first my sign was being woken up by contractions! I’ve had too many signs the last week and still no baby lol! Fingers crossed for you

I'm 15 weeks now and starting to have small bursts of energy now which is amazing (after a rough 2 months!). Can anyone tell me a bit more about the 20 week anatomy scan and first midwife appointment? I can't believe I haven't even seen a midwife yet, It still doesn't feel real yet I swear!!

20 week scan they look at baby’s features to determine they’re growing correctly and if there are signs of other abnormalities like Downs by measuring nuchal translucency (part of the neck). They take leg, head, stomach measurements. They can tell you the sex if you want to know and you should get some prints to take home. Takes around 20 minutes and they may ask you to come back if baby is in a weird position. It’s a really exciting appointment as you won’t have seen baby in a while and they would’ve grown so much.

Thanks so much, I'm having early gender scan next week but I'll see what NHS say also I guess!! Can't wait to see all the little features 😄 Hope I get some nice scan pics, my 12 week scan pic wasn't good quality and baby was flipped upside down so it didn't look like your traditional baby scan pic lol

Despite being uncertain on doing one, we’ve booked a 4D scan for next week. Husband was keen to see baby again and i do think I’ll like it, especially as I can feel her so much now and hearing her heartbeat at my midwife appts. I’ll be 31+2 on the day and I think they say 29-31 is best time. But you can have it until 35 weeks. Its all becoming so real, only 10 weeks to go!

Because they’re taking all these measurements you get to see the baby from lots of different angles too which is so cool. Seeing his little footprints wriggle was a highlight for me!

My 20 week scan pic was definitely a lot better and we got given 4 different ones rather than three of the same which I what I had at 12 week.

To add, baby looked directly into the machine and just had eye sockets, which was horrendous to see 😆 some angles are just scary.
