Agree about the Doppler, I’m almost 30 weeks and when the midwife is listening to it I can’t make it out myself anyway! She’s saying do you hear that sound that’s the heartbeat, I’m just like yeah sure🥴
That was my husband at our scan 😂

Does anyone have any pregnancy pillow recommendations? Currently 13 weeks with number 2 so looking to get one in the next month or so. Had a fairly cheap one for my first baby and it wasn’t that great or supportive so don’t mind spending a bit extra for something decent this time

Am on my second pregnancy and tbh the best option for me has just been a bog standard pillow inbetween my legs. Easier to switch sides and takes up less room.

I’ve used the BBHugme in both pregnancies (and in the post natal period last time for feeding/back support etc). It is expensive but I went through quite a few in my first and it is by far the best I tried; I like it because you can adjust the plumpness of it and is very easy to manoeuvre under bump (it’s filled with bean bag rather than pillow if that makes sense). I’m 32 weeks now and I’ve only started to use it properly the last few weeks before a pillow between the knees was fine

I was influenced and bought a Bellamoon and I do love it but I doubt it's any better than the others on the market...or a bog standard firm pillow for that matter. Luckily I can use it as a feeding pillow / tummy time aid so that's how I justify it to myself 🫠

I also fell into the bellamoon influenced trap and I haven't used it once 🙈 I find it more uncomfortable than just bunching my duvet up and using that instead because I've been quite warm anyway. My husband has used to bellamoon more than me 😂 but I'm only justifying it that I will use it as breast feeding and tummy time pillow but for me it's too clumpy.

I’d also vote for the BBHugme. The beads on the inside make it more moldable to your body and it’s great for it you’ve hip/pelvic pain or sciatica

I sleep on a normal v shaped pillow, supports my bump and I can use it between my knees if I need to (but don’t seem to need to do that much this pregnancy). The v is upside down compared to my body if that makes sense 🤣

Another vote for Bbhugme! I got it second hand on Vinted because I couldn’t justify paying full price, and you can wash the covers

I think we might have discussed this before but baby brain has set in I think now I’ve finished work 🤣 Is anyone else up the wall with names? This is our second girl and we’ve got a (long) shortlist. It’s stressing me out because nothing is truly jumping out for us, I think we’ll have to wait and see her but I’m looking for inspiration.

We want something classy but a bit unusual so ideally not in top 50 uk girls names. Any thoughts?!

Okay! I won’t get the Doppler thank you so Much for your responses! I see my doctor soon yay, but I can’t seem to find a forum for what is happening. I am 10+2 and I am pooping so much, like twice a day. Is that normal? Throughout early pregnancy I was constipated for days now/ all good, twice a day. I’m like having constipation poop as flo app stated. Anyway, is that normal or a sign of trouble? Thank you so much!

BabyCentre has a forum where you will find people in the same month pregnancy as you.

Go classic. All the weird names aren’t always ideal or “unique”. I can’t imagine spending months keeping a special name secret to find out there are two others with the same name in your child’s nursery group.

I love:
Isla
Maddison/Madeline
Polly
Elena/Eleanor
Ivy
Sophia
Lottie
Annie/Anna

Most of these are probably in the top 50 but honestly if you love a name, who cares 🤷🏼‍♀️ my oldest has a verrry common name, there’s 3 others in her nursery class but I absolutely love it so doesn’t bother me at all. I think if you’re limiting yourself to something out of the top 50 you might struggle to find something you really like! (I could also be wrong haha, and don’t forget name lists change - my friend loved the name Arya, called her little girl it, then Game of Thrones came along and the name got much more popular!)

I'm convinced I'm having a boy but more traditional classy girl names I like are...

Iris
Evelyn
Grace
Lily
Edith
Enid

Some of this are probs top 50 if not top 20 but I think as long as it's not top 5 or 10 you will likely avoid her having 2 other girls in her class having the same name. I remember there were 3 Jessicas and 2 Laurens in my small year group back in the day 😂

One of those is my name 🤣 Evelyn was one of my faves for this baby, it’s beautiful! There was two or three with my name in my year, and like I said my daughter is one of four (I think) in her room at nursery but honestly I love the name so much it doesn’t bother me (do have to remember to name her clothes properly though 🤣🤣)

Our name is not common in this country but pretty common in the nordics 😆 as long as you love it, that’s all that matters
