30 weeks tomorrow! Can just about make out tiny fists or knees through the skin. My husband was doing his usual nightly talking to the baby and moisturising my bump, felt some sort of limb and went very pale 😂 I've told him it only gets creepier as she gets bigger!
Me too woke up this morning with a big lump on the top of my belly think it was it’s bum poking out 🤣

My sister had her baby today.
a week early. Baby absolutely tiny but very healthy. Turned out after Labour, they found her placenta had started to calcify in the womb, so the baby wasn’t getting all the nutrients they needed and wasn’t growing as much. Thankfully all very well.

I wouldn’t buy a Doppler, they strongly recommend against it here as it can be hard to get the placement right and here the heartbeat rather than the placenta etc and causes more concern as you don’t know what you’re listening for

Nooooo! I keep an emergency stash in my work handbag and car glovebox - do you have any hidden around the place?
Nope but I’m going to start doing that!!

Even if you're a midwife trained with a doppler it can be really hard to hear a heartbeat so it's recommended you don't as it may just cause more anxiety. Apparently it can be hard to distinguish baby's heartbeat to your own and even your own stomach noises.

I've got my 16 week midwife appointment today (despite being 17+3 lol) and they used to use a doppler to hear heartbeat at that but apparently a lot don't do it anymore even at 16 weeks because of the risks above. Oh well only 2 weeks til my next NHS scan 🙏

I had my 25 week appointment last Friday and even the midwife struggled with the Doppler to find the heartbeat. Really wouldn’t advise it.

26 weeks today - red cabbage week. Had a very quiet day yesterday but hopefully some patterns will begin emerging from his kicks. Cot has been picked up, so that’s the last bit of nursery furniture. All too real now 😊

What vitamins are others taking after 12 weeks? I have a pack of pregnacare ones with the folic acid to use up but my midwife said I can just take a vitamin D supplement after 12 weeks. There’s so much choice when you go to the supermarket/pharmacy.

I started with pregnacare but they were making me sick so I use the seven seas ones now and they’ve been fine

Recently found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant. Would love to know your recommendations on any must-haves during pregnancy e.g. moisturisers for bump, best bras, leggings etc.

Also, any T1 diabetic mums here? Would love to hear your pregnancy journey 🌠

I stuck with the multivitamin and minerals plus omegas I took during my pregnancy. Had more than enough vitamin D, plus covered everything else just in case

I'm 7 weeks. Just had my first internal ultrasound which was no bother, fab to see the little heartbeat flashing away! Corpeus luteum cyst was on my left ovary, I knew I had ovulated from the left due to sharp pains. Aren't our bodies amazing!!

Just had my 16 week midwife appointment. Had some blood taken which I wasn’t expecting but got to listen to baby boys heartbeat so I’m happy!

I know it’s tempting but it’s strongly advised against (getting a Doppler). Unless you’re trained it’s really hard to pick up the baby’s heartbeat (and even midwife’s can struggle at 16 weeks let alone 10). So you either don’t find it and panic yourself unnecessarily or you pick up your own pulse or the placenta and potentially miss something being amiss.

Agree about the Doppler, I’m almost 30 weeks and when the midwife is listening to it I can’t make it out myself anyway! She’s saying do you hear that sound that’s the heartbeat, I’m just like yeah sure🥴

I had a midwife struggle to pick up our eldest’s heartbeat on a Doppler when I was 39+6 with her! Thankfully not stressful as I could feel her moving around at the time so I knew she was fine but agree with everyone else, not something I’d do myself.

When I visited my GP at 16 weeks she checked the heartbeat with doppler but before she dis she gave me a warning being like I may not be able to pick up a heartbeat it's not wholly accurate and we heard my heartbeat first and then babies.
I definitely wouldn't use it on myself, too much unneeded aniexty

I’m only taking Vitamin D now since 12 weeks. Folic acid added to my nausea. I could probably do with taking an omega 3 supplement too as I don’t eat any fish or nuts.
