Thanks ladies!! my body just doesn't react well after blood tests, I'm not even bothered by them it's so weird!! I did try and be brave and rush out which was a bit stupid.

I have no problem giving wee samples as I am literally peeing constantly, I am thirsty all the time though!!

I admittedly hate the wee samples 🥴 I must have done at least 6 by now and I'm no better at it 😅 I do need to wee basically all the time now, sometimes it's like she's tap dancing right on my bladder

Make sure you eat before you go, I fainted after a blood test and it was because it was round lunchtime but I hadn’t eaten since breakfast so make sure you have a full stomach before the next one.

Also I always tell them that I can be liable to fainting during a blood test and my midwife has done them with me lying down after I’ve said that. Stops you going light headed I think.

I'm petrified of needles so it's a big hassle for every blood test. I recommend making sure you eat beforehand (assuming it is a test that allows you to) and drink plenty of water.

Ladies, buy a collapsible cup to wee into - game changer.
I was given a bunch of the cardboard pee cups by my midwife, easy pee-sy 😉🤣

Wondering for any U.K. ladies, how did you get hold of your Mat B 1 form after your 20 week scan? I need to provide mine to my employer to get my mat leave plus rolling. Had my 20 week scan on Friday but no contact with my midwife for another 5 weeks for my 25 week appt. Want to get things boxed off sooner rather than later

My midwife gave me mine at my 25 week appointment but she said at an earlier appointment that if I needed it sooner for HR, to email her - can you call/email your midwife and say you need it in the next couple of weeks?

I had to wait until my 25 week appt. Depending on your HR dept you should be able to submit your leave dates and then send through the Mat B1 after?

I phoned my doctors surgery. the receptionist arranged it for me with the GP.

I text my midwife and she left one at the doctors surgery for me so I went to pick it up then sent it to HR.

I was really underwhelmed by the Mat B1 😂 dunno what I expected!

28 week appointment this week and can't believe I'm this far in! I remember when all of us December due dates had just found out and had 12 week scans etc... especially @fudgebox - the brief period of time we shared a due date! So weird to think about 😬🥴

Anyone got a final name for their baby yet? We literally just have one name, can’t think of any others 😄 One we’ve decided not to use is Angus. I love it but husband is not Scottish.

I have had a boy and girl name forever, I've added a few to the list since but I'm pretty sure I'll go with the names I've loved for years
