I must tell my job about my pregnancy, I'm having fierce guilt as I'm only here 6 months. But I took this job because of the benefits to get pregnant. I'm so anxious about it and need to rip the bandage off ASAP as I'm 16 weeks 🤔
I was the same way, I found out I was pregnant the day before my interview! But honestly once you rip off the bandage you feel so much more at ease! And also legally they can’t say tit so don’t worry about it ❤

I'm just an anxious person so this stuff I dread. I absolutely hate the job Idk why I feel guilty 😂
And I kind of like people not knowing as I cannot stand people asking me how I am and that's the first question anyone ever asks. Yes I'm a weirdo I know

37 weeks now and baby’s movements have changed. Im not concerned that he’s not moving, because movement is still regular - but a different kind. Less rolling and turning, more single jabs that are actually really painful at times!
Anyone else similar? X

I've read that the further you are along the less room they have to move so it should be more singular jabs as you've described. It also says movements should still be regular and should not stop altogether (I've done a lot of reading about movements lately 😂)

The less room thing is a myth, you don't run out of room. Any changes to babies movements that are outside the regular scope of pattern should be checked out just to be on the safe side x

My point wasn’t about any changes in pattern. Just the fact the movements are so strong now that it actually takes my breath away and hurts at times. I can’t remember this with my first x

Actually can't cope with the exhaustion. 33 weeks on Friday, anaemic but can't keep iron tablets down, not sleeping well at all. And my legs feel dead and heavy all the time. Get this baby out of me 😩

Feeling similar to you at 37 weeks. On iron tablets but unfortunately my iron stores just have been going down rather than up which is soooo frustrating. Possible talks of a transfusion next but just so frustrating, I’m so ready for her to be out now 😂

@AllTheBest2022
I’m sure you both know this, but just in case! Iron is best absorbed on an empty stomach, I take mine in the morning with with one of those fizzy vitamin C drinks as vit C helps your body to absorb iron. You can eat after about 30 mins xx

I’m taking mine in the morning with orange juice atm, but have the most awful acid reflux so I can’t do too much of it 🥲 I’ll look into the drinks, thank you 🩷

Honestly get an iron transfusion if you can! I’m in australia now so not sure how easy they are to get in the UK (and I paid a fair bit for it too 😂) but it’s been life changing. I wish I did it sooner. I’m almost 39 weeks and pretty much fine when everyone else this far along seems to be moping around with so little energy

I think I'm just going to request one at my midwife appointment on Friday. Iron tablets don't usually work for me anyway, especially in my first pregnancy, and the fact I can't even keep them down. I'm high risk of bleeding out again after birth so hoping they'd just rather get my levels up ASAP than insisting on the tablets.

Does anyone know of any good online antenatal classes, we can’t make any of our local nhs ones😩

Hi everyone. I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I've heard mixed takes on whether you can choose to have a caesarean these days? My mum had 3 pretty exceptionally negative birth experiences and I have quite alot of anxiety about a natural birth, but assuming there has to be a medical reason? Thanks!

There doesn't have to be a medical reason at all, your body, your choice. If the consultant isn't willing to arrange for you to have a caesarean then they have to refer you to one who will. X

Finally had my booking in appointment yesterday and bloods taken. Already had a call today saying I have antibodies in my blood so I need further testing to check which ones. Midwife tried to assure me it was nothing to worry about and that it could be done at my dating scan but naturally I googled and I'm scared.

Has anyone else experienced this?

We did the Baby academy free ones (it was during covid). I think they have ones you can pay for too which are a bit more in depth. The free ones are fine and you get all the notes after though have to say I forgot everything when the time came!

I did all 3 free baby academy ones and they were great. Also did a free one about birth with the honest midwife via Instagram x
