Thank you for this, I am having a major wobble today because the baby will never have the family unit it deserves and maybe I'm horrible and selfish for keeping it even though I always wanted a child.
I do have support from friends, haven't even told the parents yet as the baby was not planned and I hate to disappoint them.
A bad day probably, hoping for a better one tomorrow.
I think you might be doing your future a disservice to say it will never have the family unit it deserves - you don’t know what’s to come in life. The most important thing a baby can have is love, and as long as you can give the baby that I wouldn’t be too hard on yourself. As for your parents, I’ve no idea of your set up/background etc but even if they’re a bit shocked at first I hope they get over that and are very supportive after that shock subsides. Try and look on the bright side now, you’ve got so much to look forward to.

Hope it all went well for you! Mine is in 2 weeks when I’ll be 13 weeks! Had a scan at almost 9 weeks and all was fine but it’s nerve wracking waiting for the next 😅
It was all good thank you! 😊 baby was very wriggly, and I took the full bladder a bit too literally 😂 she made me go for a pee 3 times to try and empty my bladder a bit! But so relieved that all is going well!

Got a phone call yesterday from my consultant to say my blood results from earlier in the week are showing that my bile acid levels have rocketed after stabilising with medication (I have cholestasis with this pregnancy) - have to go next week for another scan and more bloods and dependent on the bile acid result induction date may be bought forward. Just feel so worried and disheartened, especially as everything had been going so well and they had no concerns about my bloods. Praying and hoping everything is OK with baba, didnt really sleep last night for worrying. Sorry for the long winded post just needed to share.

Started getting contractions last night, went to hospital but been sent home as only 2cm. I am crippled every time they happen, every 5 mins. I am absolutely scared stiff to give birth because I don’t understand how these can get more intense!!!

Pregnancy is such a wild ride, isn't it? Got my 20 week scan next week and I'm back to panicking and worrying 🙈 I've probably felt the baby move three-four times in the past three weeks - twice was flutters and once was more like proper kicks but I keep thinking I should be feeling them more? I keep telling myself that it's just the position they are in but I'm also barely showing and thought I would have "popped" by now. I'm anxious for next week but also can't wait to see if everything is okay 🤞

I think it’s just harder too because I have the two kids already and had to find money for half of everything for the baby, maternity wear, hospital bag etc all while managing having my own place. Baby wasn’t planned either as I had the coil in at the time, so was a Complete shock, but partner convinced me to carry on with pregnancy and he’d be around to support us!

it is so draining! I just can’t deal with how nasty he gets when you bring it up and the way his eyes just dilate and he starts calling me every name under the sun, it’s actually quite scary at times because he gets that mad about it I don’t know if he could control his anger if he couldn’t just run away to mummies.
I think he’s showing you exactly who he is. If he’s mad and scary now imagine what he could be like when you throw sleep deprivation into the mix?

36 weeks today, I think baby will be here by the time we finish this thread!! I can tell baby is starting to drop now as it’s much easier to breathe and I don’t have as much reflux, and the newly appearing stretch marks below my button are a good indicator too 😬🥰

35 weeks pregnant with my third and I’m fed up of people saying “omg you still have five weeks to go when your bump is that big?”
Anyone else also fed up of people saying “are you sure you’re not having twins?” Yes I’m a thousand percent sure 🙃
My neighbour the other day had the cheek to ask if I was having two or three 🖕🏼

Mini rant; but I follow a few pregnant influencers and I understand it's their job but they literally get everything for free 😭 from cribs, to next to mes, to prams, to clothes - I could go on. When I look into anything for baby it literally costs so much 😭 feel like I'm drowning sometimes. Sorry, rant over 🙈
Awful isn’t it? There’s a lot of secondhand stuff on Facebook marketplace, and i think I’ll be taking advantage of that over the coming months.

After feeling so confident and prepared for my section tomorrow I’m now really doubting myself and my choice 😩

I’ve spent ages reading people’s recovery stories and I’m scared I’ve made the wrong decision.
That's just what they are though, others stories. So many people jump to share the negatives and never the positives. It is scary, your whole life is going to change within a few moments but the positive amongst it all is this time tomorrow you will have met your baby, that little person that for the last 9 months you’ve been wondering what they’ll look like and who they will be 🤍

Hi all, posted at the end of May having got my positive test. I’m now about 9 weeks pregnant, got my booking in appointment in a couple of weeks. God I am struggling with the nausea and tiredness and generally not feeling myself. I’m usually a really active busy person but I’m struggling. The thought of certain food is turning my stomach. I’m nauseous but then also hungry all the time and it’s immediately like the uncomfortable hunger. And my toothpaste makes me feel ill! Just wanting to vent really ☹

Re. weight gain.
Me and my partner have gone on a last minute holiday to Majorca. I’m getting quite sick of people staring, I know I’m probably overthinking it but feel like asking people if they’ve never seen a person pregnant with twins before. Yep, I’m getting big and feeling very self-conscious.
I’m sure they’re not, and if they are fuck them! You’re pregnant, with twins (hero) on a well deserved break away! Try not to let anyone make you feel less than for whatever reason because anyone who is looking and judging is the one with the issue . Most likely they’re looking wondering how you’re coping being pregnant with twins in the heat haha (that’s what I always think when I see pregnant women in summer!) but if it’s anything else, says more about them than you. Have a great time and enjoy your break!

Morning everyone, had a sweep yesterday and had SO MUCH cervical pain/lightening crotch in the hours afterwards (like I could barely walk) then yesterday evening I was having contractions from about 5pm until I went to bed at 11. I was timing them and they were consistent-ish, roughly 4-5 minutes apart and lasting around 30-40 seconds, but they weren’t massively painful (definitely different to when I’ve had braxton hicks though) then I just fell asleep and not sure if I had any in the night. Think it would be weird for them to have stopped so maybe I was having them but because they aren’t super painful they didn’t wake me up? Had a few this morning but they’re much less consistent (lasting about 20 seconds) and about 8-10 minutes apart.
I’m just so ready for this to be it! 41 weeks today and so ready to meet our baby.

Hello! I’m new to this thread but I got a faint positive 3 days ago (9DPO) and have seen it get a bit darker over the last few days. My main worry is that I have had a chemical pregnancy before and so very worried this will happen again. I’ve had quite bad cramps today but have read this can be normal so just hanging on!

Has anyone had any uncomfortable conversations with strangers through their pregnancy? I'm quite a reserved quiet person and the idea of random people in the supermarket talking to me about when I'm due etc makes me feel terrified!! But I wouldn't know how to politely shut down the conversation either 😬
Just say um I’m not pregnant? They’ll soon scurry off 🤣

Had first scan today, thought I was 11 + 6 but I'm actually 10 + 5 😭 baby was moving loads and heartrate looked good just really disappointed I don't have a picture, felt like it'd be a good anchor for high anxiety moments but left empty handed. Need a 2nd scan and receptionist was horrible and blankly said they don't have any. Husband is happy and reassured but I just feel shit.

Feel like I'm right back in the high worry zone with nothing to show for it. Having a pity party with Greggs gingerbread in my office 🥲

New to this thread - 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby! 😁 what’s everyone’s thoughts on when to
tell people? My husband feels very strongly about not telling ANYONE until the 12 week mark post first scan. I am so excited though and just want to tell people, especially as we were trying for a while.

Rant/Winge incoming:
I've been really fed up with work lately - I asked for flexible working (home and office) and it got turned down and it feels like I'm being punished for being good at my job after the reasons they gave. I've been in a horrid mood every time I'm in the office now. Today a man that has been with the company for over 50 years (he's 79!) asked me how I was and I just cried at him! Talk about emotional. But I also feel completely justified in how at the same time for how I am feeling. Only 2 months to go then I'm out of here. Hopefully I don't have to come back.

I’ve gained about 2 stone, it is what it is! It used to bother me but I’m past the point of caring now I’m just doing what I need to to get to birth 😂

Anyone else felt a bit lost later on in pregnancy? I finish work this week at 35 weeks pregnant and I'm just feeling a bit stuck in some sort of limbo.
