Really thought I was getting somewhere earlier, had contractions that felt so strong like stabbing pains and dull ache in my back every 5-10 mins. Couldn’t get out of bed so I fell asleep and I’ve woken up to just dull period like pains. When will this end🤣🤣💔

Okay so yesterday I came here to say I’d been super emotional/crying all day and angry at my husband just got existing. Which when I googled it said that could be hormones fluctuating readying your body for labour. Then in the middle of the night I got up to go for a wee and practically hopped out of bed, whereas usually it’s a massive mission to get out as my limbs and ligaments are so stiff and sore. Googled that and it again said it’s another sign of early labour and the body loosening up. Now for the past 3-4 hours I’ve been having stabbing pains in my cervix (which I know is lightening crotch as I’ve had it the past two weeks or so occasionally) but never for this prolonged period and also with cramping style pains across the front of my lower stomach. Really really hoping these are the beginnings of it!

It's my due date tomorrow and I'm keen to encourage baby out of his own accord soon rather than have to be induced if possible. Yesterday I had sex, went for a walk and had a spicy curry, and part of me was hoping I might get woken up by contractions in the night....nothing 😂 I hope everyone else due around now is doing ok!

I’m due a week today and determined for labour to happen naturally after a long induction first time around! Good luck to everyone due around this time. There seems to be lots of us!!

If you have an exercise ball get bouncing ladies :) with my first pregnancy I was in latent labour for a couple of days (I'd also gone past my due date) so I started bouncing on my exercise ball day and night, my contractions then became more intense and frequent so I went to hospital. I ended up having an active labour (from 6-10cm dilated) which lasted just over an hour. The midwives were amazed with it being my first baby but said all the bouncing on my ball that I did would have got my cervix ready and helped move baby down into a better position for birth. It really helped with my anxiety too as it gave me something to concentrate on x

I haven't got a ball but my husband pointed out that we have a space hopper 😂 I think that might be a bit low haha. In the absence of a ball I've done some gentle bouncing while sat upright on the sofa in case that helps!

Not sure if you live near one but I got mine from Sports direct and it wasn't very expensive, was well worth the money :)

For anyone who has taken Raspberry leaf tea how gradually did you increase the number of cups you took? I am 34 weeks now and on one a day but want to slowly increase it. Have been told by my consultant I will be induced due to cholestasis but I want to try and bring labour on myself if possible so any advice would be great x

Reading all of your going into labour etc stories at 8 weeks 5 days is kind of terrifying but also exciting 😅 good luck to everyone who is at this stage!

I'm putting this down to hormones but I've started having really, really vivid dreams. Like Friday night I dreamt about the sweets Moams, and then Saturday morning had to order some to my house as I literally could not stop thinking about them 🫠 then last night I dreamt that my husband asked me for a divorce in the middle of Flying Tiger. Fun times! Scan is getting nearer and nearer, so nervous 😵💫

Honestly reading this thread is making me excited for when it’s my turn to go!

out of interest, did anyone find their second labour quicker than their first? Is that a thing or did I make it up?

I'm 29 weeks on Wednesday and having a strange tingling / numbness type sensation sporadically, just sort under my boob, just off center..... towards the right. I check my urine for proteins and my BP daily, so i'm not at all concerned about it being anything pre-eclampsia related....however does anyone know what the cause might be?

Is it just maybe a trapped nerve from everything moving up as baby is getting bigger?
Its not painful at all, its just 'there' and annoying, if that makes sense.

Yes my second one was spontaneous labour at 40+2 and was 2 hours from first contraction. Very intense but a much better experience than my first labour.

I'm 8 weeks 2 days today :) baby no.2 for me! We had a private scan on Saturday at 8 weeks exactly and all was good, still nervous for the 12week scan though! I've been having mega vivid dreams as well, every morning I wake up like what the hell

40-+1 today with my 3rd and had my cervix examined. Not ready for a sweep, but hoping just the examination will have been enough to get things going.

The jitters are setting in! I’ve felt sick all day. I’ve to be in very early so hoping it’ll be straight in so I don’t have lots of waiting around and psyching myself out 😂
Hope everything went well for you!💖

I'm nearly 28 weeks and consultant led care due to a history of pre eclampsia and I am having the same tingly sensation in the same sort of place. I explained it to my consultant like almost pins and needles at the top of my rib. She didn't seem overly concerned and said it was most likely a trapped nerve issue as you have said.

Baby strife arrived today by c-section! All went to plan and no complications. I did get sick due to blood pressure dropping a couple times but they are so quick to rectify it and make it stop it’s amazing. Just been bloody itching all over after 😂. So bloody exhausted but so so in love he’s a wee (chunky!) cutie pie. The growth scans were right with this one lol
