Is anyone going to use reusable nappies? I want to but there’s so many different brands and options I’ve no clue😆
Yes we did with our first so will be using them again this time round! I've got Baba and boo newborn and the birth to potty ones that I loved but used the close pop in newborn's when they are really tiny. It is overwhelming all the choice out there but have a look if there's a nappy library in your area, some of them run antenatal workshops so you can go through the different types, understand how they work and how you wash them and then have the option to hire them too so you can try out lots of different types to see what works for you and baby before buying. I'm hoping all the ones I have work fine for baby 2 but sometimes babies are different shapes or some are heavy wetters.

Thank you will look into it! My friend has used them for her son so she said she will give me a demonstration as she has a few different types 😆

Had a go at colostrum harvesting last night and got a full syringe, tried again tonight and not even got 0.1ml. Is there any pattern to it? Anything I can do to help it?
I mentioned colostrum to my midwife as I'm getting around 0.2ml per day and thought that wasn't much, but she said that's the perfect size for a newborn feed so not to worry about not getting more than that per syringe 🙂 as someone else said, maybe trying every other day might help, and I vary the times of day I try (I normally do early afternoon and late evening, and the amount varies between each!). Also thinking about your baby can help increase the flow - I picture my newborn laying on my chest being all cute and warm, and that seems to help!

Strapped up to monitoring due to reduced movements and just been advised that they'll be looking to book induction as this has happened a few times now.
I know I wanted baby here ASAP but this is now feeling much more real 😱

Just dawned on me this is my last weekend ever before becoming a mum. I’m spending the time well… binging the sims 😂

Same realisation here. Finally home but I've got my induction booked now & they did a sweep & I'm 2cm dilated so could be sooner. My weekend will probably include playing call of duty with the hubby & napping - living the high life 🤣

It’s equal parts terrifying and exciting 😂 enjoy!

When did everyone start to feel their baby kicking and moving consistently?

I've felt baby on and off since probably about 12 weeks, but with a toddler I definitely don't think about it everyday until I go to sleep!

24-28 weeks is when they say it gets to be more consistent. But it's different for everyone

I felt first movements at about 21 weeks but I’d say it as about week 24/25 that he was in a proper pattern.

About 15 weeks for first movements but recognised a pattern from around 22 weeks, although my midwife said 28 weeks was when they'd be in an established pattern

Has anyone made a playlist for labour? I have no idea what I’ll want to listen to whether it’s more chilled or upbeat songs

I've made two playlists literally called "upbeat birth playlist" and "relaxing birth playlist" so I can decide based on how I'm feeling at the time! I thought the upbeat one might help motivate me and power me through, but I wanted something really calm available as well!

When I had my first, I listened to my calming playlist so much that I now can’t listen to any of the songs on it anymore. I was out of it but I think I’d switched to a different playlist for the actual birth and she was born to Fleetwood Mac 🤣

I've chosen lovely songs that relax me but I'm fully prepared that I might not be able to listen to them after labour! I might just want the pumping tunes anyway 😂 we also thought that if he comes before the end of the month we could watch the snooker on the TV instead 🤣

Thank you for all the recommendations I might make two and be prepared to hate the songs after 🤣 I know this has been mentioned before but is anyone else clingier during pregancy? Hubby has gone out tonight and I’ve run out of things to entertain myself with 🤣 pre pregnancy it wouldn’t have bothered me I would have entertained myself and not really given it a second though but pregnancy I struggle with it which I find odd

Yes 😂 I’ve been a major clinger the entire pregnancy & 39 weeks tomorrow it’s only getting worse 😆 I feel like a lost puppy following him around whenever he’s at home. Always LOVED my own space and days to myself pre pregnancy so I feel needy 24/7 😅

Gosh yes! My hubby even said you've never been as clingy as you have been since you got pregnant. I hate myself for it but I find myself counting down till he's back from work now I'm on maternity leave 🤦‍♀️
I hope it passes when baba is here
