I’m close to my parents and told them when I found out. I just showed them the positive digital test 😂 I was going away for the weekend for a hen party with my Mum so knew I needed her support over the weekend through the whole “why aren’t you drinking” questions! If you’ve told a couple of friends I would definitely tell your parents you could maybe order something nice online as an announcement I’ve seen a couple of nice you’re going to be grandparent things I just didn’t have time to pull something like that together!
Thanks I’ve still got my positive digital test so might get something to go with it so I can tell them😆 we’re going over on Sunday for Easter and don’t think I’ll be able to hold it in!!

Thanks all - will try these! I'm ready to try everything at this point cause I am so over it! 😂 ❤
I know you’ve already had some good advice - I don’t think I ever stopped aching at night and getting uncomfortable in the third trimester (sorry) but someone else’s suggestion has reminded me that I put a duvet underneath me to make the bed softer and that definitely helped. I had borrowed a large U-shaped pregnancy pillow from a friend but that didn’t work for me and took up SO much space in the bed! So I ended up with a normal pillow between my knees and one underneath my bump. Didn’t totally solve it as I say but helped. I wouldn’t waste money on trying different types of pregnancy pillow.

Aching hips while you’re in bed: definitely have a pillow lodged under your back as well while you’re lying in your side

Agreed on the pregnancy pillow I had one and loved it until I got bigger, we went away and I couldn’t take it so had to use an extra pillow in the hotel instead which I was dreading but instead I actually slept a lot better. I found the pregancy pillow was taking up too much room for me anyway and so I just take an extra two pillows now one for my legs and one for my back

Did anyone else find it really hard keeping it a secret?? I’m 4+3 and I know I can’t tell anyone but I’m too excited 😆 I’ve told a couple of my friends because they new we were trying, but I wanted to wait to tell my mum and dad when we have the 8 week scan photo but finding it so hard I tell my mum everything!!
I was the total opposite - I loved keeping it a secret, both times! We were about 20/22 weeks before we told anyone

For those of you who plan to formula feed/had formula fed previous babies - which formula did you use and why?

I have no idea how to decide!
i used aptamil which my daughter got on with but it was very expensive, apparently there are cheaper options with the exact same ingredients

I’m the one that’s snoring now, so loud I keep waking myself up 😭. I think it’s cos of the pregnancy rhinitis I can’t breathe through my nose at all.

Aldi is exactly the same, made in the same factory.

But most are very very similar if not exactly the same as the laws/requirements are so strict

Anyone get tender spots on their bump? It feels almost like bruised and it’s in the area I keep feeling him kick, it’s sore to touch!
Was at midwife today, he’s pretty low down she said so I’m 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Yeah I get this if he’s stayed in the same spot for a while/at a really tight spot of skin!

I feel like mine has come out from being nearly fully engaged as I don’t feel intense pressure 24/7 anymore & now feel hard bits/strong movements on both sides of bump which I’m imagining is his back & head 🫠

What cots / bedside cribs would people recommend once they grow out of / don’t take to a moses basket? Baby will be in with us until 8/9 months until we can buy a house so something to last until then or beyond

Has anyone been affected by the medics strike regarding appointments etc?

We had a snuz pod with our first and I really liked it - planning to use it with this one too. It connects directly to your bed so easy for night wake ups etc. I think the next to me is very similar.

I really liked the look of the snuz pod but the next to me is a lot bigger so will last longer. If you’ve got a John Lewis or something nearby it would be worth going to have a look to compare as I didn’t really realise until we saw them in person, I think a baby will look tiny in the next to me as it’s so big 🤣

We got the Maxi Cosi Iora and it looks pretty big, much roomier than the Moses basket we have!

Have made a list of those thank you!!
A John Lewis trip sounds good so will do that once baby is here & all settled in, far too slow/tired to do one now 🤣

I was induced today with the propess, had it around 5:15pm. Nothing happening yet, had begun losing my mucus plug yesterday and today and was already 1cm dilated so really hoping this gets things moving along 😬

My baby is still in his snuzpod at nearly 8 months and he’s quite chunky and long, I would say a chicco next to me stands a better chance of lasting though as when we had one with my 4yo she was still in that at 9m with plenty of space x

I used the chicco next to me crib until my daughter was 10 months as I just wasn’t ready for getting out of my warm bed when she woke up in the night! I loved it and will be getting one this time around too x
