Has anyone had trapped wind? I’m 34 weeks now and continuously had the sharp pain wind feeling in my ribs and back especially when I breathe in all day! Very annoying and uncomfortable!
Peppermint tea really helps if you can put up with the taste!Has anyone had trapped wind? I’m 34 weeks now and continuously had the sharp pain wind feeling in my ribs and back especially when I breathe in all day! Very annoying and uncomfortable!

I Genuinely couldn’t think of anyone I would want there less than my mum. This is wild that she’s acting like that.It didn’t come out until yesterday and I think she presumed she was going to be there… basically one of my friends was talking about the reps of hospitals and she said she wouldn’t let nurses mess me around..my friend then asked, why are you going to be at the birth .. she said oh I haven’t been asked so not sure. (This was my baby shower btw)
she then messaged me last night and said “who are you having there” I said my partner …. And my friend possibly (if she wasn’t on holiday) next thing it was why not me.. etc etc and being really nasty to me about it.
Thankyou all for making me feel better, I spent the evening after my baby shower crying

She was quite mean to me this morning and said to me “ your friend can be there when she has no idea what she is doing” so I ended up blocking her, we’ve always had a bit of a volatile relationship and I feel like I’ve spent my life stepping on egg shells because If she don’t agree with something then it’s wrong….and then makes me feel crazyI guess the more I’m even typing this out the more I’m thinking what the actual hell to myself

That’s horrible she’s behaving that way, I would never want my mum there as it’s a moment my partner & I have waited for. Try not to let her guilt trip you!! XRandom one ladies .. but has anyone had an issue with their mother absolutely kicking off because they haven’t been asked to be at the birth.. apparently “every daughter has their mother” and I’ve been made to feel super guilty… I don’t know if I’m in the wrong or not![]()
I did with both my previous pregnancies and just got back to the gym with this one after some time off due to nausea. If you train regularly you should know your body pretty well. Not sure what your programming is like but I’m a weightlifter/crossfitter and I’m doing most movements, just modifying so I’m not doing pull-ups or any handstand work while pregnant.Congratulations @themuffinwoman!

I have just had the date for my 12 week scan - exciting times! Looking forward to seeing baby again and making sure everything is going okayjust a quick question for those who trained during pregnancy - so I used to trained 2-3 times a week (mixture of cardio and weights) my last workout was the day I found out I was pregnant (about a month ago) and I struggled sooo much with fatigue. I had to drop a lot of weight I'd usually use and lower reps on certain things. I haven't trained since then due to pure exhaustion and then because I'd started spotting. I really wanted to continue training during pregnancy both for myself and because I hear it can help with labour. But I'm a bit scared
I'm worried I'll overdo it or cause issues such as bleeding again. Maybe I'm overthinking things? If I do go back this week I'm planning on taking it easy as I've had a month off and obviously will scale the weights back and take my time. Did anyone else train throughout pregnancy and how did they find it?
I think it's different for everyone/every pregnancy.Hi everyone, currently in hospital 41 weeks and being induced. I had the propess just after 6 o'clock and been patiently waiting for something to happen since. Anyone else had this and if so how long did it take to kick in for you?
Honestly, it didn’t. I had it in for 24hrs, it was removed, I had an hours break and then I had the gel. XHi everyone, currently in hospital 41 weeks and being induced. Did you take anything for it? Chalk tablets of peppermint tea?Does anyone have any experience with severe indigestion in first trimester? (TW miscarriage)
i’m only 6.5 weeks and have been struggling to eat for a few days. Then was really craving a Nando’s () and think I overdid it by eating too much. I feel like my stomach is soooo bloated but I cannot relax, went to bed at 930pm but have been literally writhing around in pain since, can’t concentrate on anything and now it’s nearly midnight.
now in the bath which is making me feel a bit better but of course Google is saying I’m potentially miscarrying and I think I’m a bit too scared to call 111 (haven’t even had a scan yet) especially if it does end up just being indigestion.
no heartburn or acid reflux just a really bloated and sore tummy
You're definitely not in the wrong. I think some mums/MIL assume they have the right to be present. Personally, I've asked my sister to be my second birth partner because we are close and she's been amazingly supportive throughout my diagnosis of infertility and then our miracle pregnancy. She asked my mum the other day about babysitting her kids if I go into labour and she's needed and my mum said "ill have to see about that, or I can go to the hospital instead". So my sister has said she doesn't know if she'll be able to come now because my mum won't give a straight answer (my mum isn't joking about coming instead). Also my MIL googled the hospital visiting rules and said 'you can have 2 birth partners can't you, who you having' and got upset when I said my sister and my hubby. I know for a fact I wouldn't want my mum or MIL there. They'd make it about them. My MIL despises any intervention and my mum would snatch the baby out my arms the moment its born. So I wouldn't want them there.Random one ladies .. but has anyone had an issue with their mother absolutely kicking off because they haven’t been asked to be at the birth.. apparently “every daughter has their mother” and I’ve been made to feel super guilty… I don’t know if I’m in the wrong or not![]()
I had horrible bloating and trapped wind in the first trimester - sometimes it'd be really painful and make me feel clammy/sweaty, but it was just digestive issues triggered by pregnancy. I bought some Deflatine from Boots because it said it was suitable in pregnancy (but it's always worth double checking with a pharmacist), and sucking on those helped a lot, as did changing what I was eating (fruit seemed to cause the discomfort, especially apples, so I avoided them for a couple of weeks). If you're worried about calling 111 maybe pop into a pharmacy today for advice? I hope you feel better soonDoes anyone have any experience with severe indigestion in first trimester? (TW miscarriage)

Eek, good luck! It started my labour last time after a few hours (I can't really remember - maybe 6 until my waters broke?) then I went on the drip xx I went for a walk and used the birthing ball a lot to keep active in the hope that it sped things along!Hi everyone, currently in hospital 41 weeks and being induced. Yes! I’m now 8+6 but weeks 6-8 were extremely bloated. I’ve been drinking peppermint tea a couple of times a day and just started taking wind eze which are apparently pregnancy safe. I think they’ve helped a lot! I read that progesterone can cause bloating but it will ease before 12 weeks, then your bump will arrive xxDoes anyone have any experience with severe indigestion in first trimester? (TW miscarriage)
