You can definitely take antibiotics in pregnancy.
A lot of people have to take them a lot for utis as they're so common in pregnancy.
I had 3 lots in my last one.

Although I don't know if antibiotics can help flu and sinisitis?
That’s what I thought re UTI’s. Google says this particular one is fine too. I’ve got it really bad for 10/11 days and as not improving it’s worth a try. I’d rather do childbirth than this pain for another week 🫠

Has anybody taken antibiotics in pregnancy? My GP has been adamant I can’t take them but I still have flu and sinusitis 10 days later so I’ve pushed for them. Now I’ve got them, I’m worried about taking them 😂
I did for a chest infection. I was given amoxicillin.

Congrats!!!!! I’m 38 weeks today and got one more week left, if I didn’t wfh I would have packed it in ages ago 😂 fingers crossed ours come on time (although if she came sooner and relieved my poor back I wouldn’t complain lol).
I do mostly wfh but I’m taking a couple of weeks as holiday and I’ve just given up caring at this point, totally over it and talking to people everyday 😂😂 yep agreed, im in 2 minds, the heaviness on my bladder is getting all too much now! Exciting times ahead though 🥰

Does anyone have any recommendations for folic acid/pregnancy supplements? I’m only 4 weeks but everything seems a bit of a minefield. I use Wild Nutrition for vitamin d and their pregnancy supplement sounds good - has anyone used it?

I used a mixture of boots pregnancy vitamin and then pregnacare, but tbh it was just whatever was on offer at the time I needed to buy them or if I had money off vouchers. They’re really all the same as long as you’re getting the max folic acid and vitamin D then you should be fine ☺

Me again - sorry!
Had a growth scan yesterday, and am 28 weeks today, and baby is predicted to be on the 97th percentile! I know scans can be so out in terms of measurements so taking it with a pinch of salt, but also now thinking of adding the idea of pre-40 weeks induction as an option if she is measuring the same nearer to term.
Has anyone else experienced this that they could give advice on at all please? I know I can't really control much/any of pregnancy, but would love to hear experiences to see if it'd be a good idea to add to my list of options for birth ☺

No direct experience but I think there are some statistics somewhere (NICE maybe?) which show success of various inductions at various stages of gestation… which might be a useful reference for you to take a look at. If the scans are accurate what could your baby’s weight be by week 39? 10lb?

My baby was predicted 98th percentile from 36 weeks but was left to it.

I requested an induction myself as my 2nd was 11lb but growth scan showed 50th percentile 😂
Certainly was not!

Inductions before 40 weeks are a lot lower chance of working/or take a long time/end up in csection ect.
The earlier you are, the less likely it will work/longer it will take to work 😊

My babies 97th centile and is predicted to be just under 10lbs at 39 weeks. We were offered induction at 37 weeks or c section at 39. But have seen others same predicted weight and they have been offered induction at 40 weeks

My friend’s baby measured consistently big (10lbs+) and she went 2 weeks overdue and he came out at 7.5lbs so don’t think they’re always accurate.

Although I just had a midwife appt and my baby measured 3kg at 37 weeks and she said “oh she’s going to be big” so not sure what she knows that I don’t 😬
