I’ve been the exact same on and off 😅. The other day I was the same paranoid it was my body preparing for labour lol.
Honestly so hard isn’t it, such a worrier that any slight thing / quiet time with him makes me instantly panic 🫣

Coming up with a boy name was hard for us too but we got there in the end
Though when he’s born if he doesn’t suit the name we don’t have any back ups 🙃
But we’ve both been calling baby/bump by his name so maybe it will be fine 😊

it is really hard cause there’s always some annoying person out there by any of the names either you or your partner come up with 😂

Not a clue to this in terms of the actual answer but we went for the most expensive - literal words from my husband ‘I cannot put a price on sleep’
😂😂 xx
Thank you for the response!

yes that is very true for a lot of us 😂 think I will bite the bullet with the premium one then!

she didn't try to push past them.
Pink lemonade said "she was looking to get past" so she moved.
And then said the lady said "Make room for a big one"
Nowhere did she say she pushed past.
Certainly no need for rude comments.
Hormones don't give you a free pass
Oh I misread apologies! I read it as she shoved past. Won’t read & reply quickly next time!

Have you heard the abuse a bus driver gets when they try and stop people getting on a bus? They're public sector employees grossly underpaid. The great British public don't wait they expect preferential treatment so its probably not worth his pay packet to argue.
They drive past bus stops - it’s happened to me plenty of times. And that’s fine - as it’s safer than letting tons on.

Hi Just for some advice please!
I have my GD test tomorrow early 😴
When waiting around, do go to the cafe, have a bed, sit in the waiting area?
Just wondering if I should take my work laptop or a book?

May be different for every trust but thought I’d see to prepare! Thank you x

Congrats Nayalove and fairylights!! 🥰

The ball has been great for backpain so far and only had it two days so definitely recommend! Business manager was trying to say to me today “be careful with being signed off HR might trigger your maternity leave now.” I’m 27 weeks ! I explain to him no they can’t unless it’s within4 weeks of my due date but he wouldn’t listen 🙄
I think it gets triggered if you're within 4 weeks of your planned maternity leave start date, not the due date (although double check your own company's policy as it may differ from the standard advice) - but hopefully it won't be close to triggering your mat leave at this stage 🙂

I'm quite a placid person but I've just snapped at my OH. We've got our second NCT class tomorrow and it's about baby care etc. So they've asked us to send in anything specific on the whatsapp group that we want to know. We do not have a bath. We only have a shower and very little room for a baby bath to go. So I've asked about how you shower a baby/what you do if you don't have a bath.

He on the other hand, has decided to google "Bathroom refit services" and "how much space does a bath take".

We've paid £240 quid for this course, the lady can answer my bloody question and he can get on with the DIY jobs he needs to do like sorting out our outside office so our inside office can move and become the babies room!

Annnnnd breathe....
Take a breath. Our nursery was still a nursery come office until I returned to work at 6 months and she went into her own room. You’ll be grand ❤

Yes I was wearing a mask beforehand as it was a hospital appointment. Could this effect it?! I’m 20 weeks. I’ve got GD test in 6 weeks at the hospital so I’m assuming they’ll test me again then.

This might sound like a silly question but in general does small parents equal small baby?

Lots of people have been saying I’ll have a little baby due to the fact I’m very little (just my build is petite naturally) and his dad is only 5’8 with small feet lol. I’m little now but I wasn’t a small baby so I feel like he could be any size and it just depends!

Going to hit my due date this week and am due to have a sweep with the midwife. Haven’t had one before, has anyone else? Just wondering what to expect in terms of pain etc and whether it worked?

I am so fed up of being pregnant, it’s beginning to get me down as i just want the baby to be here and am fed up of feeling uncomfortable and huge 😩

Had diabetes test at weekend… but my midwife’s on annual leave atm… do you think I would have still heard something by now if I had gestational diabetes?

Also starting to look at picking up bits with our shops…. Supermarket own brand nappies ok? Or is it worth buying the brands?

Thank you I was thinking around 4-6 months so that’s good to know I don’t need to worry about it for a while yet 😂

Really sorry if I’m being stupid, but I can’t see the button for the wiki, how do I find it? 🫣 Wanted to see the hospital bag list again.

I had a higher reading at my booking in appointment, it was 6 I think. I had it redone after my 12 week scan and it was low again, the midwife there said it was probably a faulty machine at the booking in appointment, I don't smoke and we have a carbon monoxide monitor at home. They will probably repeat it again just to check.
Are you all UK? I’ve never heard of this that’s all x

Has anyone had to go on SSP before maternity leave starts?
I’ve been dealing with - and managing - dizziness for the last 4/5 weeks. No real cause for it (other than pregnancy!) after lots of hospital tests.
However it’s getting to the point where I’m nearly fainting when taking the kids I nanny for on the school run which feels extremely dangerous (for all of us).
I feel like such a failure not being able to smooth through this pregnancy and really worried about losing my last 4 weeks of pay, something happening to him if I were to collapse alone and just in general for struggling so bloody much when everyone makes it look so easy 😢😢
Depending on when you plan to start maternity leave, being off sick can affect your maternity pay.
Depends how long you're off for too 😊

Anyone suffer with bad back ache? It almost feels like period pain but just in my lower back and radiating to the sides. I couldn’t even turn over in bed last night it was so bad! Felt baby wriggle today and I’m almost 20 weeks.
Yupp, lower everyday and sometimes between my shoulder blades further up as well. Turning over can be an nightmare. Doing stretches helps at the time but doesn’t have a long lasting effect if that makes sense, just gives relief at the time
